Exactly. To me, the shotgun is only meant to get you to the next cabin to grab a real weapon.

Or to stun a Jason chasing a vehicle. Man do they hate that. Insert rage quit.

Thats the worst of being a more veteran counselor in QP.  You have to do EVERYTHING.  And against a far more overpowered  Jason with a few months experience,  its the death sentence.

The argument was always this is the way it SHOULD be for Jason.  Well, is one counselor doing everything and no one helping at all the way it SHOULD be?  Of course not.  A smart, veteran Jason is going to survey who is doing what first.  When he finds the more knolwedgeable counselors going for the repairs, those are the ones he's gonna kill first.  Because chances are, No one else is going to in the QP lobby. ROLFLMAO

I'll always go for the "big balled" hero counselors first trying to get all, "Objective based on me" and they get served first.  Then go to the useless ones that just hang out in bedrooms and dance

I look out for my own survival in QP. If I que'd up with a friend better believe they are contributing or I'll leave them too. I'll pick up anyone on the way but I wont go around trying to help people that didn't help me.

I wish I could swap out the female crying emote for the male one, find it kinda irksome how the female one makes you go onto the ground. And yeah, with QP team mates I end up crying a lot... :'(

Theres ultimately nothing you can do about it other than bring back more elements of the Dec Patch (At LEAST to QP) to provide more benefit to those with the world on their shoulders to get something done on QP lobbies..   Because nothing will change in the future.  You're always going to have to do this.

Can'll tell you the amount of times I was Vanessa with my Marathon perk and was running items over to the objectives and 15 minutes, the only thing done was Tommy was called.  FUCK!!!

But what are you gonna.  People want a CAKEWALK for Jason

I don't understand why so many people take the shotgun over other weapons. Sure, it's a guaranteed stun and you don't have to be very close, but it's only 1 shot. I always go for a bat or axe over the shotgun, no matter what counselor I'm using.

Because a good Jason will scoop you up when you attempt to hit him.

Not gonna happen.

And people don't want a cakewalk for Jason. They just don't expect to take on a lobby of 7 who can compete individually. It's been explained over and over.

It's a risk, but I'd rather have a chance once I run out of stamina.

I save the flare gun or shotgun for that instance. I only fight Jason when other options are unavailable. I also use the Firecracker perk so I have that as well.

The Jason helpers are my biggest pet peeve. It’s like being in a movie where someone talks through the whole thing. I know we both paid for this, but you are ruining my experience by leading Jason right to me because you can see my dot on the map.

I always try to do objectives no matter what, even if it’s frustrating to be the only one.

If the Jason is good enough he can still stop half of them anyways.   Sure beats watching Jason DESTROY QP lobby after QP Lobby.  Or even watch lousy, useless Jason's with not much skill taking out at least 5-6/8 counselors

Probably my second-most satisfying thing to do in this game is escaping despite a team of Jason n' Friends trying to whore out the room. I always make sure I state "pretty damn sad you have helpers and STILL can't get it done" in the most high school-jock way possible.

QP lobbies need a "face palm" emote

The following happened to me last night in a QP lobby... playing as Deborah with stealth perk build, repaired the four door and went to find keys... only to see a Vanessa run up, jump in and run over a Shelly and Adam before heading to the exit. Bit of a dick... but carried on and repaired the two door and phone box, only to be told NOT to call the cops as it's... (get this) 'cheating' and makes things more 'difficult' for Jason.

giphy.gif

I was then told... that I did not NEED to carry the lobby and that everyone else was perfectly capable of getting the items to repair the cars/phone fuse to escape and that I was a 'tryhard'.

And here I thought, playing the game and working as team was what was meant to be done. Silly me.

Player issue, not a game issue.

Yes. I’ve been playing exclusively QP since the last group of guys I played with stopped playing. Almost every player in QP is a speed/stamina character with no fewer than 3 Vanessas, Tiffanys, Bugzy, and Chads in every lobby. You’re lucky to see a Fox or Deborah. As Deb, I’m almost always expected to pick up people’s slack while others goof around and then quit when they die because they suck. Players continuously overlook repair items or simply tag them, never running them to where they need to be. Repairers are expected to find and repair everything while 6 or 7 speed characters run around and don’t even escort or cover. This is the era of trolls where everyone thinks they’re better at ‘juking’ Jason then quit mid-kill because they suck asshole. Like i said in another thread, the lobby is then cleared out and takes another 3-5 minutes to fill up. The player base has exponentially become young, stupid children that live to irritate everyone then quit and go to another lobby to repeat.

Meh, there is no real "proper" way to play. There are definitely dickhead moves you can make that will lower the survival chances of other players, but it's not the wrong way to play. Unless you are hunting other counselors with a car, I hate that.

I meant more stuff like "Fixing the car with low repair character while high repair characters gather around you watching you fail over and over again", "sprinting all the time, leaving all the doors open, not calling Tommy" or "Thinking the stealth works like in DBD and crouching in a bushes not knowing about Jason's Sense ability".

As a "veteran counselor", I assume if I'm able to "carry" a match, it is due to others kiting, occupying or fighting Jason. If I can find parts and repair while objectives are maybe even free of beartraps, some Chad, Vanessa or Buggzy is probably doing a good job. I'd go out on a limp and state that I didn't experience a single completed game with five counselors or more where no objective was completed since patch.

I will usually try to pick up others, but I do feel less comfortable in the car than most, so I will not do "laps" to pick up people. I much prefer to sit behind the driver and jump out if needed. I will wait with the boat if somebody makes their way over, but if you aren't near or ignoring me while I'm waiting...sorry about your damned luck.

If some Chad & Tiff duo ferried parts over, I'll offer to repair and offer them the vehicle. If I'm Tommy, I will stay behind if there aren't enough free spots. Simple personal code of conduct.

Or maybe they were running sense avoidance perks... Sometimes you can be right next to Jason and he has no idea you're there.

Unless you have some great sense avoidance perks he'll see you every time, it hiding in bushes isn't nearly as effective as it is in DBD. It's funny when people thinks that works.

It does work though... I'm at over 50% chance to avoid sense with the 3 perks, probably 35-40% if I'm just crouching outside. That's a pretty significant chance for him to not be able to see me.

I don't understand why people say sense avoidance perks don't work... I've literally been right next to Jason and not been caught.
