Enjoying the update. Map is awesome. Haven't played as Roy yet but loved getting hunted by him. Chase music is epic.

Much more balanced then what it was Jason feels scary again and trying to get out is a real challenge if the Jason is atleast decent. Less items also makes things hard I've already seen large groups try to gang up on Jason one being me didn't work as it use to they got a few hits but they all died rather soon. This is the best patch since early October forsure and a big change in the right direction.

4, it's great! No complains. The map is great, the Jason buffs are great and the general feeling of gameplay now is great! However, Tiffany's ring is still purple, and that bugs the crap outta me lol so I give it a 4.

It also really makes me nostalgic for times when video games were released, fully on, just once... and if they sucked they sucked and if they were great they were great.  this constant tinkering is actually psychologically maddening.  I don't understand why they can't just let people play old patches if they choose to?  it would shut up all the whiners.  now we have a brand new set of whiners.

- Map is nice and detailed , but again too big as Jarvis. Higgins and Pakanack are the best size, why they do bigger ones ?

- Traps still cant be set behind cabin doors, still buggy. why?

- Music of Part 5 is again to loud, like Part 9 before ^^ why?

- Part 5 Jason is nice, the ending scene very good. but the 2 kills with seperated blades looks stuipid.

3/5

Fun stuff. Some of the new kills are great (hope they toss in a new kill pack soon). Separated blades is wired but the "you're so vein" kill is fun.

Certain hedge shears can be broken into two. I had a friend that works in construction has one like the game.

Agreed so long flocks of chads with baseball bats chasing Jason.

For those that can’t play atm due to work and other things, how is gameplay?

How much faster is Jason?

How much better is Jason’s grab range and cone?

How are counselors now with weapon quantity, pocket knives, and health sprays reduced?

Any information would be appreciated. Thank you guys!

New map, Roy and his kills are great! The balance changes are welcome as well. The running Jasons feel much more like a threat now (like they should be!).

I just won:'t give it a 5/5 because of the lack of hit detection fixes.

4/5

Played some offline bots with Roy and Pinehurst. In liking it so far but I'll rate later when I have a better opinion.

Liking the update...it's feels like the game I was playing before the October 22nd patch again.

It's worth grabbing again, though it's by no means a guaranteed grab if your timing is off. Pocket knives reduction is most definitely noticeable. Counselors are rightly more on the backfoot, and the chase atmosphere is back. I've met one armed gang and they all got dispatched.

It's a much more fun to play as a counselor again. It feels challenging and the tension has been restored, especially against a good Jason.

CONS

-Map is just another generic copy and paste job. Pinehurst house, barn and Ethel's house were all great, but there is NO reason why Cabins should exist on this map. The location from the film certainly wasn't a summer camp destination. They could have just replaced cabins with farming sheds, horse stables, and accessible trailers to loot from.

-Roy's weapon splitting in two looks silly and counselors taking damage from being smacked by blunt gardening shears is even worse.

-Window mechanics are still clunky as hell. Why can't we slash counselors climbing through windows?? Why do I get blocked behind an invisible wall while counselors are in the window climb animation??

PROS

-The balance adjustments are great. It's finally challenging to play a counselor again .

-Roy's design looks perfect.

I will give it a 4, it's perfect and give Jason back to his glory days (not totally, counselors can still juke Jason with bats and shotguns). And I will give it a 4 too because it doesn't fix most of know bugs, it's more a balance/ content update.

Really happy with the new map and balance update. Roy is surprisingly decent to play as too.

Excellent job all around.

Unlike most it seems, i LIKE how big the map is. It provides so many more options for everything.

The balance seems really good on both sides right now too.

It's definitely a step in the right direction, but I think more can (always) be done to improve gameplay and balance issues.

I still feel that there are too many weapons.  I'd like to see them toned down just a little more.  They're still plentiful, although I have noticed that machetes are fewer in number.  Wrenches still seem to be commonplace, at least in the matches I played.

I didn't find a single pocket knife tonight... and I'm happy about that.  I saw others in my sessions find a few, but I'm glad they toned down the spawn rate for them.

Overall, I'm glad Jason got buffed... the games I played didn't have as much trolling or Jason hunting.  It was just players playing the game, having fun and trying to escape.  The ones that tried to fight Jason usually died in the process (a Tiff/Chad team did do quite a number on him, but I get it will happen from time to time).  Reminds me of the early days of the game, when encountering Jason actually got my adrenaline pumping.

I like the Pinehurst map... but I dislike Roy.  Map seemed authentic, and I could easily recognize key location from the film.  Roy is probably my least favorite Jason.  Besides the fact that he is Roy (and I dislike Roy), the shears were a bad choice for a weapon, IMHO.  Bashing doors and power generators with garden shears is ridiculous.  Plus, the shears reuse the axe/machete animations instead of having custom animations, which seems lazy to me.  The kills are ho-hum... I think they could have done a better job with those.  Too cartoony, IMHO.

TL;DR... Jason buffs and counselor nerfs are a step in the right direction, but more can be done in the same vein.  Pinehurst map is cool, but I dislike Roy.  Overall, good job on the patch.

The new map is great, finding Ethel’s cabin was a nice surprise.  I kinda wish they had resources and time to stick that diner in the other corner, where the cabin was and maybe some trailers for a trailer park/rv camp ground and then they would of had the entire movie set built. Maybe will get it in a update.

Very clearly a 0/5 but since the chart doesn't go that low we can say a 1/5.

The speed buff to Jason makes the already terrible slow counselors that much worse, compound that with the lower weapon and item spawns and you have a recipe for even less reason to choose the already bad characters.

The knife buff was also multiple kinds of stupid that could only be expected from these devs. Every Jason essentially has a hidden + knives strength now which just rewards bad aim since you have a trove of attempts at the start of the game now where Jason is supposed to be at his weakest.

Back to the speed buff. Running Jasons now gain ground quickly on every single jogging counselor. The stamina management meta is now gone and is replaced with sprinting to the nearest cabin every time until it isn't safe and moving on to the next cabin repeating ad nauseum until you die or he leaves you alone. This makes shift control even less important as you can just burn the entire duration and stay close the to counselor who has to sprint to avoid it and then has to continue to run while their stamina is massively depleted.

Then we have what appears to be Jarvis map 2.0. I can't comment on the objective spawn mannerism yet but the map itself alone is so heavily Jason favoured. Choke points everywhere surrounded by water that even - swim speed Jasons can take advantage of. Objectives that stack so if you camp them you are guaranteed anywhere in the region of +4 kills on map layout alone.

They balanced Jason so that even brain dead potheads can give the best counselors players a sound beating with very little effort. After the small uptick in player count to check out the content we can expect to see it dwindle even further as there is no reason to stay and play a game if you are the counselors who are going to be even more free when the Jason mains come out in force and leave until they get Jason forcing extreme handicap matches.

I'm surprise the trailer park and diner wasn't there.  But I guess you could say the same for other maps. Higgins Haven doesn't even have the hardware store and Packanack is missing the casino. They don't fit the campground settings as these would be populated areas to dial help.

TLDR = Counselor player and is mad because it’s no longer face roll, thanks
