    Not a bad idea.

I've toyed with other ideas to make it more difficult.

    1. 8 minute timer

    2. Remove the infinite escape timer, so they'll leave after arriving...say two minutes...you don't leave, you don't escape

    3. Make it so only four counselors can escape with them in the backseats of the two cars

    4. Since the fuse box only applies to fixing the phone box. Make it so all Jason has to do to maintain control of the phone is cut ANY power to the campsite. This would also effect the fuse box. So now in order for the phone to be working properly.

    1. Find fuse

    2. Fix fuse box

    3. ALL power in the campsite has to be working

Now in order to offset all those power generators needing to be on. Now the fuse can't be broken once fixed, but the power generators can still be broken.

You don't need power for phones.  The phone line provides the minimal amount of electricity for the phones to operate.  Ever had a power outage at your house and used your landline phone to call the power company and report it?

This made me laugh out loud for real. Reminds of sex with an ex or something like that...

On a serious note. I rarely get the ol' hateboner when I call the cops. Most Jason's know that they are in a time crunch at the point and will go about business as usual (killing targets of opportunity). Jason only seems to morph to the phone after a call if they haven't got a tastier target in their sights. Of course this is just my experience. The tunnelers are often the younger kids/noobs not keeping the wider strategic goals in perspective once the cops are imminent.

It's just my experience that whenever I call I immediately have Jason morph to me and since I play Deb.. that's not good, especially at the spawn I'm talking about, there's nowhere to hide or regen stamina from that spawn.

You seem to have really bad luck or a habit at exaggeration.

I'm over 350 hours played and never once has someone left cus they are Jason.

And people quitting to get Jason? Maybe happened 2-3 times.

I find it funny you seem to know why all these people left. Did each one say on mic "im leaving cus I'm not Jason" or "I'm leaving cus I'm Jason"?

    sorry but. Bullshit.

I just said I was keeping track using the badge.  But go ahead and sling around accusations of lying, or better yet, GTFO.  You think the game is perfect, you shouldn't even be in the suggestions forum, you should be fucking right the hell off, because this forum has nothing of any use to you.

Are you sure they are ragequitting because they're Jason? Because I tend to dashboard way more frequently whenever I'm Jason. Though, caveat -- only when I'm doing well. If they're schooling me, I tend to last the entire match. Go figure.

That sounds like hosts ragequitting on you.  If you're on console it's more prevalent on PC (and on PC it doesn't always crash the match, I've seen hosts ragequit and everyone gets dropped and I've seen hosts ragequit and things continued as normal on PC, I don't understand it myself.)  because of the peer to peer matchmaking that consoles use rather than dedicated servers, in fact on console because they know how much power the host has, hosts will threaten Jason with crashing the match and basically hold Jason hostage.

Damn asswipes. Streamers remind me of raptors. They're getting smarter. Next they'll learn to open doors.

I get that devs and publishers love streamers because it's free marketing for their game but damn, for people actually playing the game with them, they can really ruin the fun with their willingness to exploit and cheat in order to attract new subscribers.  They'll give some stupid "disclaimer" that this recorded video from their stream is "for the devs" and "so they can fix it" but they sure are looking for likes and subscribes at the end of the video aren't they?

I've also noticed that twitch viewership for the game nosedived after the new bannable offenses policy came out.  Coincidence?  Perhaps not.

The other day I was forced to quit as Jason when the screen froze on me during the intro cutscene.  It sucked because I wanted to be him.  There are some night where I'm randomly picked as Jason multiple times and others when I don't get to be him at all.  I have my preference set to Jason.

Haven't heard of this before but I guess that could be a factor, I just know that sometimes I see the person selected as Jason and they immediately leave the match before it even starts.

How do you suppose this is done? Can the sweater be activated while in the boat passenger seat? Or is it that the sweater girl stands on top of the boat while it is in motion floating in the lake and when Jason shows up they spam the sweater stun and Jason falls to his death under the map while he's in the water or something?

Something like that, I didn't get to see it done but it was definitely a combo of the boat and sweater and Jason fell out of the map due to the sweater stun while he was under water.

What is this? I don't think i've seen it yet.

I've only seen it done once, by a pretty famous streamer for this game, the Jason involved was not a willing participant it was done in a public game, when I threatened to report him he took down his stream and deleted the videos for his last session.  It was truly classy.

anyway I'm not entirely sure how it works but when it happened I fixed the boat and one of the streamer orbiters stole it from right under me and headed BACK up the map towards the graveyard (on higgins), he then picked up his famous streamer buddy, who had picked up the sweater, they were talking on walkie talkie about how they were going to kill Jason using the boat, so they lured him out, in the middle of the water and suddenly the match ended and the streamer and his orbiters were all laughing while the Jason was pissed as fuck for being exploited on.  That really struck a sour note with me because #1, they stole my escape, and #2, they ended the game with an exploit that they did on purpose just to get more "likes and subscribes" god streamers are fucking cancer.

Most important glitch to fix is items like the fuse not being able to be picked up. Better since the last ps4 update, but it still happens.

I don't know if it's the MOST important but it'd be in the top 3 along with homerun and host migration.

The boat+sweater glitch is bad too but because that one has to be done deliberately you can pretty much ban every streamer who does that one in public games.

    Agreed....I know, I can't believe it either.

Host migration would be a big start. And I think the memory leak issues are mostly fixed so a time out or cool down for rage quitters could be solid but I don't know if it's viable.

No host migration for a commercially released online multiplayer only game in 2017 is pretty much unforgivable, and like I said in other threads, I know it's 100x worse on console where the host can basically hold Jason hostage.

While the problems that still exist in the game are indeed troublesome, it's kind of a catch 22.

If you are in a private lobby it's not nearly as frustrating when glitches occur. It ends up being more humorous than anything. Partly because everyone has mics and you can understand them.

that and you know friends won't deliberately abuse glitches or leave game on you whether mid kill, or at the start of the match, and even if you spawn at the phone cabin, because it's a friend they'll probably not tunnel you at the start, they might screw with you a bit but ultimately you'll actually get to play, I mean I get it, but

Quick matches/public games still need to be a viable option and some of the most glaring things that ruin the game in public matches should be addressed.

  12. Just now, rickyount02 said:

Are your friends buying this game yet? They need to get on it as playing in private matches will eliminate most of your problems.

However I agree you shouldn't have to rely on private matches to have a quality experience. The dropouts when not spawning as Jason and rage quitters is indeed frustrating. I haven't seen any Jason's quit after spawn but I'm sure it's out there. If it can happen, it is happening.

Luckily I have some solid folks on PS4 to play with most of the time.

I have one that's interested but he's holding off for a sale because he doesn't think it's worth $40 and he's hoping some of the game breaking glitches get fixed.  I don't stream but I allow my friends to watch my broadcast so several of them have watched, and what they saw kind of turned them off with some of the really bad glitches and with how often you get stuck in lobbies with non english speakers.  Part of the reason I'm constantly making suggestions is because I'm also taking their feedback into account from just watching.  and because I want the game to get to a point where my friends will actually buy it.

Blowing on the games was actually unnecessary in most instances. The reason NES cartridges wouldn't play was a misalignment of the 10-pin contacts because they don't sit flush in the tray that they slide into. 95% of the time a simple push to the left or right on the cartridge after it's been inserted into the system would align the contacts and the game would play just fine. Nintendo fixed that issue in the top loader by having no "wiggle room" for the contacts to be misaligned. Just a little nugget for the next time you pull out an NES and get that annoying blinking screen.

If you really want some examples of NES glitches though, I did the google search for you and as luck would have it some random guy has a site devoted to compiling all the NES glitches he can find.

We all know that blowing on the cartridges works!

Though you're probably right, the act of just reinserting the cartridge after blowing on it probably did more to fix the problem than the blowing itself unless there really was dust on the contacts, just realigning the pins.

The SNES didn't have the same problems with that because #1 being a top loader it probably did the same thing that the top loader NES did, eliminating any wiggle room, and #2, game cartridges all came with dust covers to prevent them from getting dirty.

I am not siding with anyone I asked that you both agree to disagree and move on. I don't care who is supporting what side. Pages upon pages of back and forth to one another is not constructive. That remains the point here.

Yeah I don't see you telling him to lay off, it's all targeted at me.  *I'm* supposed to lay off but he can continue to antagonize me and "keep up the good work"

No. What I'm saying is- out of hundreds of games I've played I've never once seen someone leave cus they are Jason. And I'm doubting you ever have either.

Even if you did, it couldn't be more than a handful of times.

Youre complaining about a non-issue. Like you usually do.

People leaving cus they don't want to be Jason!? HAHAHAHA. oh yah. All the time. Suuuuure. Lol. Adorable.

I literally had it happen 6 times yesterday.  I'm keeping track via the ninja badge.  I started yesterday at 38 ninja victories, I never complete matches by hiding or juking for 20 minutes straight, never.  So every time that badge has advanced it's because a Jason rage quit or quit at the start of the match.  I'm up to 46 as of the end of yesterday.  Once the Jason rage quit later in the match, once because a 4 seater car escaped on him, and once the Jason got homerun glitched (I was an unarmed passenger in the car after I'd already used my shotgun on him (as Deb, not Tommy before you go on that tirade), so it wasn't me).  The other 6 times, were Jason quitting the instant he was selected (if they were the only person in the lobby with that Jason selected) or within the first minute of the match.  That's what prompted me to make the thread,   6 times in 1 day people quitting instantly after being selected as Jason.  That's not to mention the few times where so many people quit after they were NOT Jason that I had to quit too because the game was going to be unplayable for a counselor with only 3 people at the start of a match, I imagine the other 2 people quit as well.

@I Hate Spectate agree to disagree and move it on. People have different opinions. Just because they do not coincide with your own does not mean they are wrong nor does it mean your opinion is wrong. It's a disagreement calling people "brown nosers" or "fan boys" does not move the conversation along. Post constructively and with purpose. Do not post as a means to attempt to demean someone who disagrees with you. I was pretty clear in my last post hopefully we can now resolve this.

The douche follows me around to every thread I make or post in to deliberately make confrontation with me.  He's being just as inflammatory as I am back to him but because he's defending the developers/publishers you choose not to see it and side with him.

I agree. Game breaking bugs should be patched. Host Migration should have been a thing at start. My main issue with this game is just the Host Migration and traps being bypassed but it is what it is for now, I'm giving them some time before I just find a bunch of players and just play private for awhile.

The trap bypass exploit is annoying but not really game breaking.  I am finding more often than my traps aren't being popped at the car because you normally only need 1 at the battery maybe 1 at the gas just to alert you that it's being fixed.  but when you never get a notification not even on your map and just hear "vroom vroom" it kind of sucks but you can still stop it and I like fights around the car anyway.  Lately I've been getting a glitch where if I shift in front of the car but the car is turning even slightly when I'm in front of it, it just pushes me away to the side instead of stopping the car, I get some weird jerky rubber banding animation and slide sideways out of the way, which has unfortunately let the car go at times.. but what can you do.. all you can really do is hope drivers drive straight instead of constantly turning while you're shifting I guess.

  18. So you don't think it's a problem at all, that people who absolutely don't want to play as Jason and quit the match as soon as they're selected to be Jason, while people who prefer to be Jason spend hours at a time not getting a chance to play him and quitting out on matches that they're not selected?

If 3 people leave a match at the start because they weren't selected as Jason that match is basically handed over to Jason wiping the last 4 people in short order with no objectives completed unless they're so bad at Jason that they don't have the necessary skills needed to wipe a group as him (a pulse and a body temperature somewhere in the 90's.  I bet Stephen Hawking, who can barely move his hands could 8/8 a quickplay match), that game is basically broken, and if the Jason refuses to play as Jason that just ends the match, which is basically game breaking, it's just like the game crashing or host quitting, except you get 551 xp, it usually kills the lobby and sends you back to quick play searching.

I'd say this ranks in priority right behind the homerun glitch, the keys/fuse in the floor glitch, the person hiding under the bed with needed parts and dying glitch, and host migration, because it's also a "game over" issue and prevents people from playing when it happens.

  19. 22 minutes ago, Campkill said:

Lol it seriously doesn't fucking matter.

Another non-issue literally nobody gives a damn about.

Leave the random selection as it is. Fix the real issues.

Some people are just sitting there for hours looking to invent a problem.

Yes, it does matter, people leaving right at the start of a match gets complained about by other people and threads made about it on a daily fucking basis.   Go take your fanboy ass out of this thread, you can go make your own fanboy thread about how Gun and Illfonic are the best and this game is perfect and you LOVED Sonic Boom!  I've had 6 matches today alone where the Jason quit game as soon as he knew he was it, it wastes people's time and it wastes a round where someone who WANTED to be Jason could get it.  So you go fuck right off to your Gun and Illfonic are all puppy dogs and ice cream thread, here we're suggesting an improvement to QoL in the game.

  20. I know we've all seen people quit at the start of the match because they WEREN'T selected as Jason but now we're getting people who are quitting the match because they WERE selected as Jason.  It seems like it's possible for counselor preference players to get randomly selected by Jason, and that's causing problems on both sides, both reducing the chance that Jason preferred players will get Jason  (and increasing their chance of leaving the match) and makes it so that someone who doesn't want to play Jason gets forced into the role.

No preference players should ONLY get selected as Jason if no Jason preferred players are in the lobby.  Counselor preference players should ONLY get selected as Jason if there are no Jason preferred players OR no "no preference" players.

There's 0 reason for it to be the way it is now which is causing people to leave matches at the start.
