  1. Ok I'll clarify, they made them for sale before they were done making them. However, when they were done they posted screen shots on the kickstarter pages. I looked at them and decided not to get them, usually I don't pay for vanity items. If you bought them before they were ready that was your decision. Before you flame me, keep in mind all of that money was an investment to get the Tommy Jarvis and other extra features into the final product out the door. I get why you're upset, but it's because people backed the Devs is why we even have a game.
  2. It's bad luck here are some suggestions: 1. When you spawn quickly determine what's around you. If you can, jog the perimeter of the building. If you see the phone get away, most Jason's morph there first. 2. If you are in the cabins close all the interior doorsbehind you as you search. Do not lock the interior doors! open windows, turn on all radios If jason spawns crouch and stay in a room behind a closed door. Make sure the room has a window. Do not keep searching, do not move. Often jason will look around, see that the doors are closed, windows are open, and will assume that the coucelor left. 3. If he finds you, go out the window, jog do not run, attempt to get behind something, once you are behind cover crouch or start walking in the opposite direction. Avoid making noise, avoids running in a panic to another cabin. Assume his sense is gonna run out and he's gonna have to rely on you making noise. If jason can't run and doesn't have shift you're gonna be ok. Smart Jason's will probably not pursue as he'd because they need to trap the other objectives quickly or risk losing kills. *if you are Vanessa or Bugsy and can put run him you can try to do that, he may chase you. *slower/stealthy characters should try to slip away as quietly as possible. Double back around to the cabin after he's gone. *do not lock interior doors, jason can see that they are locked and that tells him that your still around. *if you are with others, you can still hide in plain site, often the other person will panic and will distract them, you can either slip out or stay until then lead jason away. If they lead him away, you should consider slipping out in the other direction. If the other person is killed or keeps him in the area, you don't want him to sense you or hear you search. * attacking jason with a weapon should always be a last resort. Most times he will melee you and grab kill. *Sometimes it's better to wait to see if you can determines Jason's first move is before you commit to searching an area. Typically his first move is to morph to a busy area or trap the blue car/phone. *Always Barricade or lock exterior doors. You don't want jason to just walk in, you want him to make as much as possible so you can properly react. I've caught coucelors off guard by just walking in through the side doors, walked into a room and waited in a blind spot until they walked and killed them. Hope this helps.
  3. They showed you what the clothes looked like you knew what you were buying. Did you look at them before you bought them?
  4. Which character was he? If he was Aj or jenny they can equip perks that keeps their fear low. Once they start to see you and you get near them they should start lightings up. Did you cut all the power lines? Keeping them in the dark raises their fear as well.
  5. Hello, Over the last few days my game has been crashing when attempting to escape boat and get caught by jason. It's happened on crystal lake near the left side of the map by the barrier and once near the rocks. 1. I was able to repair the boat and start the boat as expected. 2. I'm playing as AJ and experienced the crash alone and once while I was with Deborah. 3. In the occurrence when I was alone part 7 Jason caught the boat near the rock. Was able to pull me out as normal. 4. When the kill animation started, the camera panned out, the kill music started. Nothing happened for several moments and the game crashed to the desk top. I was only caring med spray, no weapons or other big items. 5. Second time this occurred was with Deborah also on crystal lake. We were attempting to avoid part 8 jason cutting near the left side barrier, close to rocks. We did not hit the barrier or the rocks and jason caught the boat himself. 6. We fell in the water as normal, jason caught me and the kill animation started, music started, nothing happened for a minute, again the game crashed. I had no items or big items. The person playing Deborah had the shotgun on her back still. 7. The person playing as jason messaged me on steam later to cuss me out, thinking that we had just rage quit, to cheat him out of points. I explained what happened and he said that both AJ and Deborah appeared to have died at the same time. Maybe something triggerd the crash for both players. Steam account: Shodan1 time of crash: 6/14/16 evening no screen shots and I don't remember getting an error code. This has also happened before, in crystal lake, near the left side rocks.I don't remember exactly where i was, but the boat was near the boathouse. I can't remember if I had anything or which Jason they were playing. Problem just seems to be near upper right side of map near boat House boat spawn, near the rope and rocks. When facing towards the water exit the problem is on the players left side.

  7. Sometimes I like to knock and then And I'll be like, "Hey it's Aj I forgot my keys let me in" or "my hands are full carrying the battery and the gas. It won't let me climb in the window. Jason's getting close. Once a new player did open the door, i felt bad and let him go though.
  8. Awesome finally someone who gets how to play Tiffany :-)
  9. But jason has the abilities to react the scenario. That's why I don't think this breaks the game. For me, it depends on if I know that there's an objective item near the body, and how many concelors are left alive and their proximity to the phone or other high value target. You have sense see if determine what the councelors were up to. The guy in the woods is moving so I can see him or he screamed and I looked over. Then the decision becomes, do I guard the phone or morph over to the gas for a kill but risking that have a knife so they can cut the trap and the phone. Or morph over, get the kill but messed up on the location of the gas, it's somewhere else and someone is able to get it. Or worse, go in for the kill, get stunned and they getaway with the gas and they fix the phone. Or I decide not to go, I know where the gas is headed, the car is trapped, so I'll have a chance get him. But suddenly, theyre working togetjer to make a move on the phone and the car, and now I have to let one of them go. Its just adding to the layer of risk and reward. And it becomes more cat and mouse game until someone wins. The other thing to consider is that jason knows the exact location of the body, the coucelor only has the proximity information and has to spend time searching. In the game world: I have been killed because I screamed, I was Aj and was the last one left. We had been attempting to get the boat fixed, and needed the gas. We split up to search, jason got him before he could tell me he had gas. I knew people had died by the boat so maybe it would be there. After searching the area where the gas usually spawns, I headed over there towards the dock, Saw the Kenny screamed, jason showed up on queue. He knew I was gonna try the boat or car, but knew where bodies were and found me. I ran into the woods, burned through my fire crackers and knife, and he finally ran out of options and died. The jason told me he was about to morph back to the the far end of the map when I screamed, and if he had I might of had enough time to fix the boat and leave. This is the type of scenario I'm trying to create. A tense final push, where evrryone has enough information to make a good last attempt.
  10. Again it's not to put markers on the corpses, it's to mark the area that there's something there. You can choose to investigate it or not, you can't avoid getting scared, you can't avoid screaming unless you had a special perk, if you take the perk than you can't use something else. If you go without the perk jason might hear you and get you. It's no different than failing a skill check How would it undermine the fear element of the game? Thematically, you would eventually realize that xxxx had the keys and so now you gotta go and find them. You would have a general of where the screams came from. This scenario occurred in many of the movies. "I heard Brenda scream! It sounded like it came from someewhere near the archery ranges!" "oh, I'm sure it's a prank. But she has my keys so let's go check it out."

  12. Actually he wrote several paragraphs and managed to say a whole lot of nothing. While jumping to the conclusion that "all of these young'ings can't handle a challenge.". So, any proposal must becoming from a tween trying to make the game easier. It's not, it's to fix the slightly broken endgame, and to come up with a better solution than either "kill yourself" or "Hide and try to run out the time." Bottom line, in certain scenarios the end game is boring, and that the better players become, the more you'll start to see this. This is common in asymmetrical games One of the most common posts are complaints about having to sit through match to get Xp. Is watching someone hide or searching the same set of cabins fun? On the reverse, leaving can glitch the Tommy mechanic. The good players shouldn't forced into an unwinable scenario, ending in an anticlimatic draw. I realize that you can't always avoid that. But if you don't like the bodies on the map, fine. But at least provide another idea. I love this game, I don't want to see it die.
  13. Teach me daddy! I'm going to ignore the condescending tone of the post and ageism remarks, leading into a statement that says, your way is the "correct way" to play. And yet, through some misconception and illogical assimptions that age equates wisdom, you know what's best. I've been waiting for over 30 years for this game to get made. And right now, it's nearly perfect. It's amazing that they found the sweet spot, and created an open ended, self contained, cannon acknowleding, fully interactive, friday the 13th movie game. I will also want to make it clear: I don't expect to win. I don't want the coucelors to have an easy time. i don't want jason nerfed. I don't want to disrupt the risk vs reward system. I do expect the play style to be fun. I do expect that decisions made by a player on either side always matter, and that its meaningful to the final outcome. This games does this until you reach a certain point at the end, you shouldn't get stuck with unwinable scenarios, forcing you into boring situation and anticlimatic conclusion. Giving yourself to jason is lame. As jason I want to earn my kills. Hiding out and running out the clock is anticlimatic and boring and lame. Tedious searching through cabin that you've been through several times is lame. You and your friends like to rush jason and go out in a blood mess, that's cool, so do mine. But it shouldn't be the only option to speed it up. Why should the survivor sacrifice themselves for being smart, played well, work with their teammates to get their stuff done, jason did his job well, crazy stuff ensued, so they failed and nows it's the final desperate push, trying to get to last thing you need to survive. Just imagine the meta discussion that you'd have with your last of your teammates, when you know that a dead body is in a certain general place and now you gotta go hunt it down. You don't know exactly where, it's in the dark and Jason's out there. How does that not fit in this game? Again, I don't want to know exactly where the body is, i just know that I heard a scream in the vacinty of the barn, and the body could be anywhere in that general area. The house, the dock, the grounds, etc... Maybe the balance is the bodies reveal over time, that way this tactic is reserved for late game play. Or maybe the general locations appear in the order they died. Or maybe appear as you start to explore. Again, the goal isn't to tell you where, just that you're close. Jason's map should also be updated with this information as well. I don't know the best approach, it needs to be tested. It's just that there needs to be an improvement durring late game. Or you need some sort of Final Girl mechanic that stops jason, that is different from the Jarvis method, but is just as hard and situational to pull off do.
  14. You're missing the point of the post. This isn't about making every game winnable, it's to provide options that align with the risk and rewards system this game is based on. How is knowing that that a body is in a general area gives a councelor an automatic win condition, when there are no other mechanic changes. 1. You have to decide if you wanted to take the time to search for a body or continue to search the cabins for an overlooked item. 2. You already know where the cabins are, you know where the cars are. This is just another destination that you have to check out. One that's probably in a high risk area, away from the cabins, in the dark, probably places that you don't really want to be. And when you find the body you're going to scream, telling Jason where you are. 3. And even if you got lucky and found something, you still have to avoid traps, avoid jason, and go through the process to escape. To me this is still better than hiding, it going lead to a better victory for either team. When your the last survivor and some of the objectives are done, is it fun to just randomly roam the map or hide?
  15. Key item respawns were not the point, however it just alighns with creating scenarios for the survivors with unwinable conditions. That point alone makes the end game part of the match broken. Is it fun to chill out in a tent? Or hide in the corner for 10 minutes? Or watch someone do that? Don't say it's your choice to leave because that's how the game is designed to be played. What would you do instead?
  16. Did you even bother to read my posts? If you do it right, it's balanced and follows the theme of the movies. That's why I keep saying you don't show the exact location of the body on the map. You heard them scream when they died, so you have a general idea of where, and you have no idea if they died even holding anything. Jason knows where they died. You know your character is going to scream when they see the body, so you have to decide if it's worth the risk of alerting jason where you are. I'm not saying make it easier, im saving give player more options on how to play out the end game. Is it more fun to hide in at the corner of the map? Or to continue to work through the cabins over and over again trying to determine if something was overlooked? Are you saying that if someone escapes with the gas it shouldn't respawn? The forums are already full of people complaining about grifers, why make it easier for someone to troll?
  17. Keep playing and friend the people that aren't weird/ annoying and play smart.
  18. This true, however remember that as soon as you become afraid, he can see you with stealth. I usually keep it on until I know he's there, if I think he's seen me it stays on until I'm out of the cabin hiding in the woods. If hasn't I just sneak off in the other direction. I've made the mistake of turning it off too early and went to far into the woods and he was able to see me. The only time it's every really safe to turn It off is by the campfires.
  19. It does, usually the the life guard towers. This was been tested and confirmed with my friends. It's only for key items, knives and sprays seem to disappear or the amount that spawns is reduced.
  20. Not necessarily, they could be headed somewhere and died on on the way. Most people do drop the objectives and often try to work together to get then thing done. Not necessarily, if I'm playing as AJ I don't want to be anywhere near Vanessa or Budzy or Chad. Usually they pull jason on top me before I'm ready and have no clue on what to do. And it's gg. The same goes for character who isn't locking doors or running around at top speed. I'll tell them to stop and if they don't. Usually I have to hide, wait for jason to kill them and then take their stuff. I'd rather just tell people what I'm doing and have them give me intel so we can react and coordinate phone repairs or vehical repair. If lucky and I can repair the boat by myself and I have a radio I tell the others that I'll give someone two minutes to get over here or I'm gone. If someone says they are coming I'll wait, if too many come and I don't have the gun I start the boat and try to get one in. I've been murdered by too many desperate players to stick around for too long. If the car is fixed I'll try to get people out.
  21. I haven't had good luck with it as coucelor block either. Usually jason sees I'm in combat mode and goes for a grab. The only time it works is if you dodge, that that's tricky too.
  22. This goes along with the post I made earlier and that it reward the players who played well, but now are running out of options because either some trolled and ran off with the item or it was a new player, who didn't understand how to play and died. I completely agree with everyone's concerns, I don't want to anything to be handed to me. 1. The coucelors only have an idea of where to look, they have to put in the effort to search for the area. 2. Jason knows where the body is, so when the player screams he gets an idea of what up. 3. No glows for either the body or the item. The player has to be sneaky, and find the item quickly. But once you find the body it updates your map, giving you the opportunity to escape jason and come back. Keep in mind that if Jason's sees the key items he's probably gonna keep tabs on the area, making this a challenge for the players. I would even recommend that they add a new way to get xp. Call it "grave robber" you get by recovering the key item. That way if you die you get rewarded for your attempt. The overall idea is to keep the game from stagnating and give the coucelors something else to do besides hide and run out the clock. Specing the survivor would be more interesting to watch. Reducing the amount of leavers The troll gets foiled. The new player who lost the items can watch the survivor and learn to play better. Jason gets more opportunities to kill everyone The final survivor gets the opportunity to escape for more points. Also remember, the item may not be at the body, it's just a risky choice to decide if you should search through the cabins or go and look for your friends.
  23. I tried to do that and have had mixed results. Usually its more efficient to trap the objective. I want the coucelors to either tank the trap or burn the knife. Either way it's going to give me a kill later. If they cut the trap but wasn't able to get then objective fixed, it gets trapped again. I usually try to hold onto a least one, that way when I'm dealing with a fast character I can try and herd them into it during our chase.
  24. But thens no incentive for the survivors to stop hiding. I wouldn't put them in fear mode but maybe the occasional sound blimp. Right now the end game gets tedious if councelors camp and hide under the beds because there's nothing else they can do to win. And before the flames start, I know you have ways make them fearful. However, smart survivors can easily manage their fear and stay nearly invisible. I've been on both sides of this and it's not fun for either team.
  25. How is it being handed to you. If you got a proximation of where the body is? I agree in not giving the an exact location, you still "heard" them scream you should have an idea of where they are.
