  3. Shifty said the update is not coming out April 13th as no date had been specified. He replied to one of my posts directly clarifying this misconception everybody (including myself) had. For the time being I’m not playing F13 until this update drops. Gonna be playing Sea of Thieves probably. The beta was actually pretty fun. I need a different game to play for time being as I’ve been playing F13 since initial digital release. Haven’t played anything else and it’s starting to get old atm. More so due to connection issues making it hard to play and increasingly frustrating lately. My thoughts for everyone else is just kick back and chill if you need to. Good things are coming just have to be patient. I mean we’ve been waiting this long so what’s a little longer going to really change.
  4. Lol wouldn’t be surprised. I won’t be home anyway. My gf and I are doing the Camp NobeBosco tour of the original Friday the 13th film. Should be a lot of fun with fellow fans. Im still excited for the new updates. I’m looking forward to the bug fixes and connection issues. It’s been kind of hard to play the game regularly as of late due to constant disconnects and errors.

  7. I run the clock out most matches. Now it’s just become boring. Instead of sticking around to help complete all the objectives and call the police I tend to escape early. However, than I become bored out of my mind waiting for everyone else to die or escape. Very few put on a good show so I find myself flip flopping between running the clock out and flat out escaping. At least I make it interesting for those spectating rather than hide under a bed for 20 minutes (I’m not saying that you do that I’m just speaking in general).

  10. One can only hope, right. I’m on Xbox one and the game has the worst lag spikes and frame rate drops. I don’t understand how this is even a thing. No other game I own has such consistent issues. Granted many other games have their own unique problems but sadly this game has had chronic issues since release. Even if connection issues and the like persist at least dedicated servers will eliminate the host problem. I love being Jason just to have the host quit because they believe every objective part belongs to them. Better still, the hosts that quit because they stepped into their own bear trap killing themselves. The list goes on and on.
  11. How about a solid connection to the game servers that doesn’t drop constantly or hosts that quit en masse? I almost don’t even care about the other problems atm except maybe the car bug and Jason interaction lock. I can’t play in a match with lag spikes to 900ms every other match or connection drops and it definitely isn’t an issue with my ISP. This game lags like crazy anymore and crashes almost as often as the early days with the horrendous memory leak that still rears it’s head every now and again. Dont get me wrong, I’m super excited about the new engine and other improvements already mentioned but the game is very hard to play due to the inconsistent quality of matches via poor connections. The dedicated servers will end the host quitting plague thank god but it won’t fix everything. I have hopes for the future but I’m not going to let myself get too excited until I see the results.

Sorry for double post but if I’m Chad and I fixed everything myself and nobody has made an effort to assist or complete any other objectives... than I’ll just take the four seater by myself to the exit and they can figure out how to survive. Can’t say how many times I’ve repaired the phone and than of course everyone stops trying to repair anything. They either camp the exits or just wait out the timer. I’ve started to stop fixing the fuse box anymore just to watch people squirm. They don’t do anything and expect a free ride out or don’t think twice about leaving on their own when you fix an objective so let them duke it out themselves. s for the win!!
  13. Story of my life, this happens all the time. As others have said this is how quick match plays the majority of the time. I cant count the number of times I have done literally everything as Chad from one match to the next. Tommy’s that don’t do anything or attempt to escape as soon as possible. Some even carry the fuse or objective parts with them. Repair characters that hide all match. Hell, I have had just as many matches where Jason had blinders on and I give him the run around for 10-15 minutes and not a single person has fixed anything. Most of the time all of the other counselor’s are huddle together in the same cabin with Tommy lol. I may get frustrated some times but it doesn’t really bother me as much as it used to. I like to play cat and mouse with Jason to test my metal each match. Sadly, many Jason’s are extremely bad and can barely catch a LaChappa.
  14. Don’t feel too bad man. Have two shit days in a row. Yesterday I had ridiculous, intermittent lag spikes. Was about to place a crucial trap at four door and it lagged teleporting me near a cabin some 50ft away and placed my trap near a wall. That match the car got away after my shift bugged out and locked me into the fence. Today I had a crew of experienced counselor’s except their experience amounted to exploiting chain stains time and time again. It was extremely frustrating, several escaped, it happens.
  15. Sorry, but no shift grab is used by many and an important tool in Jason’s arsenal. Unless the devs come out and say it wasn’t intended, it’s gone; I don’t believe it should go anywhere. And you can’t fault all Jason players for the actions of the few that use head punch and choke with every grab kill. Head punch was my favorite kill straight out of the movies but so many people used it time and time again. I stopped using it ages ago because it lost its prestige so to speak.

  17. I don’t see why that in and of itself should warrant a reduction in the number of throwing knives. You either dodge or you take the hit. If he hits you regardless he had the timing and the aim down pat. Usually you can dodge without wasting the stamina and as a repair character you want to keep running to a minimum to conserve your stamina at all costs. The only time you should be running is to evade a shift or keeping distance in reasonable intervals from Jason as he closes the gap. Sometimes you get hit by knives that you shouldn’t have been hit by. Other times Jason should have hit you but the game is quirky with the hit detection especially near objects and windows. I do not see a need to change the throwing knives I think they are solid as they are. There are other changes that could be made to the game as a whole that would benefit gameplay altogether. I don’t think throwing knives is necessarily one of them.
  18. They didn’t reduce counselor speed/stamina in the latest patch they only increased Jason’s speed slightly. Unless you are referring to an older update where they reduced stamina regen which shouldn’t even be an issue since it’s been however long since they fixed that. It was also ridiculous at the time given the amount of stamina coubselors would get back. If you chose Deborah than that’s your choice. You have to play to her strengths. She isn’t meant to be an athlete but she can still evade Jason all the same. It just requires more attention to stamina conservation and knowing where your escape routes are to the nearest cabin. Can you make it there in time, how much stamina will you have left, is Jason in rage mode, do you know if Jason still has knives, is it a plus shift Jason, are anybof his other abilities on cooldown, do you have medsprays in case you have to jump through a window or take damage along the way, etc. It’s not impossible but the slower counselors have the trade off of better repair which means less of a chance of being detected at an objective. You take the trade off when you make your character selection. I run Chad and I most certainly gamble with every repair I make. Luckily most Jason’s still don’t trap objectives or immediately morph in adequate time to said objective when I fail a repair. Does that make me a good counselor or the Jason a poor player?
  19. I don’t understand your argument. You go so far as to say they should reduce throwing knives and now you say Jason players need to get better. If the new and/or less experienced Jason players need to develop more skill and most Jason players do not go 8/8 in my experience than how are throwing knives an issue? As others have said throwing knives take time to collect. If someone somehow had 20 knives do you think that the person he/she is targeting would not be able to utilize tactics to circumvent the knives? Dodge the knife, lose Jason’s line of sight, utilize obstruction/ obstacles to block his ability to hit you, heal off the damage. The only way I could argue in your favor is if said Jason player was skilled and tunneled one player and the Jason had an abundance of knives. So if the Jason could keep the pressure on through windows and all capitalizing on every opportunity to land a hit the counselor would be gimped multiple times. BUT -The counselor still has the ability to heal. Hell, one medspray with medic would allow you to eat several of Jason’s knives wasting his inventory and especially his time. I’ve done this to inexperienced Jason that horse knives let them hit you here and there and heal it off. Now Jason has very few if zero knives. You’ll have an easier time evading and staying alive. If he wants more he’ll have to take the time to collect more at the expense of neutralizing a target.
  20. Hits through doors is stupid, plain and simple. If the door has a gaping whole that’s fine. Either way it should work for both or neither should get the benefit from it. If you try to combat stance Jason you’re facing a risk reward situation so if you miss well you get grabbed or take a hit. Strength in numbers is how counselor’s survive unless they have adequate experience to go it alone. I survive one my own a lot of the time. That’s mostly because Jason players are still pretty bad about as much as most counselor’s aren’t equally awful. If you plan to fight your gambling your life unless you have an out. Now whether that’s a pocket knife, a buddy, or well timed attacks it’s all situational. But for it to be successful you have to have an out otherwise your just taking the room temperature challenge. Despite Jason being virtually unkillable he remains stuck in stun animations every time he is hit. Chain stunning is a problem especially against good groups of counselors. The knives are fine, pocket knives are fine. The game as a whole is in a better state than it’s been in for quite some time minus the bugs: exiting car but, interaction lock bug, etc. The devs did say they would look at how the quality of the game is affected as as the gameplay from both sides and make any needed adjustments. It doesn’t mean everything as we know it now will be forever. I think Jason is in a good place. You mentioned repair characters, well, I think the devs need to look at their attribute system and make some decisions. A lot of players are using stamina/ speed characters in place of repair characters to perform the same tasks. This is simply because of the advantages of speed in this game. Idk what needs to be changed or adjusted but something governing how fear works and the character attributes needs to be looked into as a whole.
  21. There is an entire thread dedicated to delivering hits through closed doors. I’m sure you’ve read it and personally no. No one should get hit through a closed door. I have a response in that thread that clarifies my stance on that subject with respect to specific circumstances. Kason being chain stunned also should be a thing. Why should the killer innth series be allowed to be struck one and time again as soon as he comes out ofnstun animation to be stunned again. It’s honestly a really stupid game mechanic. Would you enjoy being immobilized consecutively and unable to move or perform an action if you have two to three or more coordinated coubselors playing whack-a-mole on you. It doesn’t happen all the time and because most groups aren’t coordinated enough to keep the cycle going it is possible to escape from. But that doesn’t mean it should be a thing. Neither of those two arguments has anything to do with what the OP brought up and that is reverting two of the “buffs” to Jason back to the way they were.
  22. By removing the number of available knives or the number of knives Jason spawns with is in essence a “nerf” to one of his strengths. The knives are good where they are at right now. The increase in speed was an improvement because you have counselor’s who can maintain Jason’s pace at a jog when he is running. When inside a cabin dealing with loopers it becomes more crucial because distance and timing are more significant. I don’t see where any of the changes made to Jason last update should need to be rolled back. You’ve basically just said that 2 out of the 3 improvements made to him are unnecessary and don’t belong.
  23. Had a Fox do the same thing. Running medic and she already had one or two med sprays. She had two more laying on the floor inside a cabin. I broke the windows and it turned into 5 or 6 minutes of cripple, heal, pocket knife before she finally ran out of reseources. I had two knives that didn’t register and two grabs. Luckily time was on my side enough so that I could run through her inventory and than a stalk-shift nabbed her.
  24. Throwing knives are fine. It takes 3 to cripple someone. If you’re getting hit with three knives consecutively than you’re doing something wrong. Using a knife sacrifices any spatial gains Jason has made on a fleeing counselor. Assuming that said counselor isn’t crippled by the throw. If you window loop or jump through a window you should expect a knife. Find a medspray, use medic, and be smart about Jason’s whereabouts especially when he’s chasing you. Knives are easily dodged and a lot of the time they miss or don’t register due to lag.
  25. Understood, majority of the time Jason isn’t even aware there’s someone hiding in the cabin. I’ve had matches where the hiding person was actually teaming with Jason calling out positions as they watched the map lol. EDIT* - Not sure how this got posted here but okay lol.
