Why can't I EVER join a game if they are in a party

Any time I try and join a game from my friends list and they are in a party I get a connecting to party loop that NEVER ends.  Xbox

I don't know about Xbox and if it's the same issue your having but on PS4 when you join a party and they are already in a lobby or game you'll be left on the main menu until the party leader backs out to the main menu to pick you up. Pretty much everybody needs to join before the host/leader of the party starts searching for a game.

I started a thread about this a while back. This is seriously annoying. Another annoying thing, being a passenger and bringing up your map to guide the driver, then the screen gets locked and you can't get back to playing. Just stuck staring at the names of players or the objectives and map screen.
