bubthezombie6 1 Posted June 6, 2017 TL;DR - I think the game would be more fun if the counselors had more variables to deal with. 1. Not all doors can be barricaded or locked 2. The environment becomes scary if Jason can hide (eg, armoire w/ warning music fade away) and then burst out for massive fear and possible kill 3. Jason can jam a door or window shut/open with a throwing knife 4. Jason can break lights 5. Jason can destroy hiding places if he wants to waste that time 6. Jason can destroy the battery if he finds it first 7. Kiting mitigated by generating more fear, more chance of stumble the longer someone is close to Jason 8. Unless broken, windows are safe exits so add random thorn bushes for damage on the outside 9. If Jason disconnects, do a Final Friday Jason Goes to Hell possession so a random counselor disappears and spawns as Jason 10. Jason can sometimes do a "reverse barricade" by moving obstacles in front of a door on the outside 11 The more light that falls on a body, the more fear it generates 12. Jason can pin up a body to a door for extra fear and to make the door unusable 13. Jason should be able to break windows more quickly 14. Jason can puncture tires to reduce car speed / control 15. Jason can bludgeon kill a counselor with one he's grabbed because there's no fear for a counselor to attempt an intervention 16. Shift / grab / kill is not fun for counselors Numbered for efficient yes/no feedback.
Sweedy 47 Posted June 6, 2017 1. Meh, either way. 2. Yeah, but that's basically what stalk is for. 3. Makes no difference if it's open or shut. 4. Yes. 5. He can already, it's possible to smash an empty wardrobe, for example. 6. No. 7. Yes. 8. No. 9. No. I'm fine with the existing system. Hopefully after patch nobody will lag out as Jason or otherwise. 10. Traps serve a similar purpose, although they're more limited. 11. Meh, whatever. Wouldn't add that much to the game, imo. 12. Hell yeah! My favourite suggestion of the list. 13. Throw a knife, it's really quick. 14. You couldn't have less control in the car if it had no wheels, it sucks. 15. A rare multiple kill animation would serve a better purpose. If Jason is met with the right conditions, such as two or three counsellors in close proximity, allow him to kill them all simultaneously with a certain animation that can only be triggered when conditions are met. It should be really difficult to pull off, to prevent abuse. 16. Agreed. Learn to evade it and it's less frustrating.
bubthezombie6 1 Posted June 6, 2017 Concise gets right to the point. Thanks Sweedy.
Risinggrave 1,571 Posted June 6, 2017 My opinion is that the majority of those ideas are terrible.

Shift / grab / kill is not fun for counselors Numbered for efficient yes/no feedback. Some of these are already possible. 3) Jason can break windows with his throwing knives if they're still closed. Even better, you can also hit people through windows for a nice two for one bonus. 5) Jason can already go up and destroy any hiding places if he wants. it just takes a lot of time for him to run through the animations. 8) Smart Jason players already just place their traps outside windows for easy kills when the counselors try to flee. The biggest thing with all these is they're only Jason oriented and he's already significantly over powering to any counselor group that isn't working as a well oiled team. Adding any of these abilities only makes it that much harder to survive, and as it is we're lucky to survive once every 4 or 5 matches. it's important to maintain some level of balance and not make Jason an unstoppable force otherwise no one is going to bother playing if they're not Jason. Break lights seems like a waste of time. 2 hours ago, bubthezombie6 said: 7. Fear gets higher when near him. 2 hours ago, bubthezombie6 said: 11 The more light that falls on a body, the more fear it generates A core mechanic in the game is to stay in well lit areas and use your flash light while outside to slow down fear. 2 hours ago, bubthezombie6 said: 12. Idk if it should make it unusable, but I'm not really against it either.
