I'm pretty late to the party with this one but right off the bat it looks really sick.

I'm wondering what your opinion is on this bad-ass game.

Picked it up early last year for Xbox one when it was only $5.00. I love it. Sure it has some flaws, but its just so cool to play with mechs. ????

waiting for the sequel. Its going to rock!

I played it when it first came out, but my buddy doesn't like multiplayer and we put it down after a little while.

I've gotten back into it myself only recently, and I'm enjoying it at the moment.

You own it for the Xbones? Looking for more gaming buddies.

Me and my buddies played this game for like 3 months straight. It was the game that got me to go buy an Xbox One in fact. Funny story about the game. One night while me and my friends we're playing, we got matched up against Major Nelson, the Xbox talking head, and his merry old group of ego stompers. Me and my friends were pretty good; we've had multiple nights of never losing a single match together. I don't think I can remember a time where we were more thoroughly massacred than that match though. It wasn't even close.

Yeah, I'm Brando83 on XBL. I have odd hours, though.

I don't have an Xbox, but I got the game on PC, and damn it was fun while it lasted. I wasn't a big fan of no-weapon DLCs though.

Yeah...but the storyline that they through together made sense.  You were either the Government who was fighting for it's life and trying to stop open rebellion of the core worlds or you were the rebels using stolen equipment to take control.  I figure they have a ton of new weapons in the sequel.

All things considered...it was still a hellva lot better then COD.  I respect respawn for what they did.  I think it only failed because they went as an xbox only game.  I know alot of my PS4 friends wanted to try this because of how famiiliar it was to Mechawarrior/battletech games we played back in our youth.

Failed in what sense? It sold over 10,000,000 copies globally, was the number 1 played game on Xbox Live for five months straight, and has planted itself as one of the top online FPS franchises on consoles after only one release. Where was the failure?

If anything it was one of the hugest successes in FPS history.

All hail the robot mechs.

900,000 copies in US only.  The official numbers where never released.  But proof is better then talk (or text message in this case lol  )

Don't get me wrong.  I loved it. I'm still playing it to this day because the only other FPS I have is Halo 5 until Rainbow Six Seige comes down in price.  ha ha.    But some of my friends bought it first day and were upset that it wasn't Call of Duty Mondern Giant Robots.   :(   I know...their sad losers.  ha ha.

The first three articles in your list are message board posts. You can't consider those credible sources to quote and two of them are clearly drawing biased opinions in their title alone. I can provide actual news articles refuting your sales figures though, including one that shows the game sold over 900,000 copies in it's first month on store shelves. Sales figures have never been officially released, but Respawn has said it's exceeded 10million just a few months ago, and there's no way it only sold 900,000 copies in the U.S. between Xbox One, 360, and PC. If it performed that poorly in the , EA wouldn't be allowing a sequel. I think our viewpoint is just a difference of opinion on the term failure. You're looking at it in a support sense, while I'm looking at it in the business sense.

Also, I'm surprised your friends didn't like it. Having played a ton of Titanfall, it was EXACTLY like CoD: Giant Robots edition. Everything about it felt exactly like Modern Warfare 2, even down to the way the camera moved when you run. It was so clearly an Infinity Ward product, even if they couldn't use the name.

I said this before in another tread but I believe the 2nd one will be the determining factor of success. I do not believe that a lot of people knew what they were buying when they bought Titanfall. It was just kind of hype all around. I have Titan fall got it for like $10 or something. Probably would have been mad if I paid more than 10 to be honest. While it's a nicely designed game it's just not my cup of tea. But then again I am beyond sick of call of duty games as well. lol
