the amount of underage players i have already encountered is astounding and also sad kinda.... do parents really dont give a flying fuck what their kids play?!

one added me and asked if i wanted to play so i invited him to our party and to the question of his old he honestly answered "TEN" .......

I'm fine with my 17 year old playing it, but it's off limits to the younger kiddo.  To each their own.

My parents certainly weren't fans when Night Trap came out on Sega CD and I was way too young to play it.

I agree. I've encountered a lot of kids. Doesn't surprise me though...

There is nothing to be surprise about. Im 31 and when i was a kid, i enjoyed a lot of violent and gory stuff. Usually, im patient with young player considering this, theyre akward player but its kind of cute and heart warming.

well its one thing to grow up in the 80s with such games that back then looked really shitty compared to today and movies where special effects werent as realistic as they are today.

also i am sure parents back then were more involved with what their kids watched and played as they are today were media is so easily accesible that practially every kid has seen some porn and gruesome horror scene or even snuff shit from wartimes or terrorist crap (hello world star hip hop, liveleak!, etc.... those platforms that host such stuff)....

As soon as I hear little kids screaming in the mic when I join a lobby I leave straight away lol.

One downside to instantaneous information is desensitization.  Kids these days are a lot more 'connected' with nothing to say and a lot more disconnected from reality, imho.

I remember playing outside when I was a kid, with nothing that needed to be charged.

Might not be fun to play with some of them, at least they have good taste in horror.  I was into Friday the 13th when i was like 7, if not earlier.  lol.  Still wonder what my teacher thought when she asked us what we did during the weekend and I talked about going to see Jason Goes to Hell.

I play it with my twin daughters, who are 13.

I am completely unapologetic about it. I have been watching F13 movies since I was 8 or 9. It's a very 80's thing to do. :-)

But seriously, they are much more mature than I was at their age. They love horror. If I didn't do this stuff with them, they would be sneaking it on their own, so I'd rather bond with them over it, and at least that way I can make sure they aren't interacting with maniacs. (You know, other than Jason.)

Wish I didn't run out of likes so I could like this! That's actually hilarious. I hope I run into a game you're in just so I can hear you do this lol.

I let all three of my boys (ages 5-10, it's really cute when the 5 year old plays as I mute his mic but he doesn't know) play and I think it's awesome that they love what ol dad loves. My dad let me watch all the horror movies when I was their age so I don't have a problem continuing the tradition. Besides, it's Friday the 13th. What could be a better way to waste a couple of hours in the safety of our home? At least I know and approve of what they are watching, playing and doing. That's way more than what a lot of parents out there can say. All three of them are far more mature than I was growing up but that is because of me and what I allow and don't allow them access to.

I don't have a problem with the underage kids. As long as they're cool and don't act like asses. I was 8 or 9 when I saw the Friday the 13th part 4 but I was a child of the late 70's. The real problem is the 15 to 25-year-olds  4chan /b./ trolls.

Depends on maturity I'm 26 my mom let me watch friday the 13th, halloween etc when I was like 10 or so I found them on my own but my mom also knew that I'm normal and it wouldn't warp my mind if that made sense lol. I would let my kid play this over gta because most kids can tell jason is not real

I like that kids are getting into Friday The 13th and experiencing the greatness of the franchise. Slasher films are a thing of the past and the legends like Jason and Freddy need to be experienced by the younger generations. It is fun to be scared and the killing is almost a parody, it is up to the parents to explain the "harmless, fun-entertainment" of the game and the movies. I wouldn't want my children to watch the movies until they were 15 or so but, the game is more tame.

I prefer not to play with kids just because I curse and I don't like to have to watch my language when on the mic.

Idk, depends if their cool. Nothing below 13 though, then you just get a bunch of annoying spinner enjoying, high pitched, vine liking losers, who rage quit. Yeah it can get really annoying if they know nothing about the series for some strange reason, my but-hurt fan rage shines through everytime. Honestly squeakers are in every game and their no matter what really annoying, especially this generation, with vine and spinners and instagram. Their really toxic. But like I said sometimes they are cool.
