Counselor Stats (Near Final)

Reduce A.J. stealth instead of Tiffany's stealth? That is so wrong... Okno.

Anyways, this is my opinion on character stats.

And this is how i would like to see the Mean Girl "Melanie" and the Hippie Stoner "Stan" if they were added to game, lol.

I think the mean girl needs to have more luck. This trope was very privileged in the films, so in turn they should be fortunate in their stats (sort of like the female Chad.) The difference between them is less speed for the mean girl, but more stealth and stamina. Composure should stay low as the mean girl typically "lost her cool" in the films, so it should reflect in her stats as well.

I think the Hippie Guy should be the Party Animal trope instead (implies drugs and alcohol without outright saying it.) Low luck, stamina, and stealth, but high composure and speed.

If only Jenny could run a bit faster, but oh well. I still plan on using her as a main. Everything looks pretty good stats wise overall though.

How are you guys planning on using your perks? Will you be supplementing your counselors' weaknesses (like making a Vanessa with stealth, repair or composure perks) or will you make coked up versions of your counselors (like a Vanessa with speed and stamina perks).

Personnally, my main is going to be Tiffany and since even with low repair anf composure I found it pretty easy to survive with her, I think I'm going to use my perks to just make her more fun (like knock out chance perks and other combat perks)

I want to be playing her when I kill Jason for the first time, she's the trope I'm most excited to see finally get her revenge on Jason!

@SexDrugs&Tea: I think I will be using Adam the most, and I plan to use perks that are geared towards improving his low stealth to help him stick around other counselors without attracting too much attention.

If I'm not lucky with the perks bonuses, I'll probably stick with Deborah and A.J. and use stamina/speed-based perks to help them escape into another building easier if Jason finds me.

In most games, I usually have no "main" but so far, I'm liking Eric for objectives, Adam for strength and then AJ for stealth.

Eric I'd probably try to make up for his low speed or strength

Adam I'd go stealth perks, or intel perks

and AJ I prob go for speed so if stealth fails, I ain't dead yet.

Honestly think he needs more attention to his stamina. Isn't it only a 2?

If you mean Eric, I think they did that cause he is the "chubby" guy.

An just saying, we assume people close to fat are bad at running.

Which proves right at times when we see people like this in media or maybe

in real life. It depends if you really want to be true to media or real life almost or say fuck it

and give him good speed like the next person for "it's just a game" purposes. When really it's suppose

to reflect tropes.

Eric is actually a 3, where Jenny is a 3 too. Which I find odd but I guess you gotta have your "pairings"??

Now, Eric with a stamina Perk or two, maybe even a Speed one if available...that's gonna be a bit of a nasty surprise to Jason, as Eric hot-foots it away off into the distance.

Eric does have the lowest Stamina value, yes, but the trade-off is that his Stamina will regenerate the fastest out of all Counselors so far. Vanessa can run for miles, but once her Stamina runs out she'll have to rest for a while to regain her lost energy before she can sprint again.

I'd imagine that Eric will be quite difficult to catch if he is given the right perk that supplements his Stamina in some way. He may even be a danger to a Jason that is unable to run or has a handicap to his Shift ability.

Mmm, which would be Part VII the most.

That's the one that had the biggest difficulty with the Beta Vanessas, though there have been changes since then to help him out some.

Yeah, I guess I meant Speed or Stam, but more importantly stamina.

You notice how they changed "Intelligence" to "Repair?" Ever wonder why?

@Santi_Lee

I think the "mean girl" archetype should have low composure because Melissa in Part 7 just froze and took an axe to the face when she saw Jason, and she didn't even think he existed until that happened.

I feel the same way, when actually confronted by Jason (which is the timeframe of the 'movie' that a game is set), Melissa froze up in shock. She sure as hell fended off any suggestions he existed beforehand, but the game picks up right when he's turned up!

As for Repair, yeah, people spotted it a week or two ago that it'd changed. Don't know if there was ever official word, but the the feeling was that they had some feedback suggesting they were making Buggzy and Tiffany look stupid, which wasn't the intention. They just don't like shop class, is all.

Some players / stream viewers / customers have expressed dissatisfaction at both Black characters being assigned to low-intelligence archetypes.

I've a remedy for this!

Make a "speedy nerd" archetype for an eventual DLC release.

Make his character "skin" resemble Steve Urkel from the TV show Family Matters.

If Gun Media gets the rights to use Urkel's likeness, then he could say, "Did I do that?!?" and other Urkelisms when messing-up a skill check.

But if Gun Media is unable to license the Urkel character, then perhaps give his substitute character some green-rimmed glasses and suspenders in lieu of red; a crew cut instead of a flat-top; avoid the Urkelisms; etc.

Whatever the subtle tweaks necessary to avoid licensing issues, the Urkel knock-off would provide both a unique look -- Jaleel White in fully-buttoned polo shirt; hiked-above-the-waist shorts; Wall Street-style suspenders; and Coke-bottle eyeglasses -- and a blend of stats not-yet released as an archetype: namely, 10 intelligence with 10 speed.

The Urkel expy's other stats might be logical for an easily-startled, accident-prone bookworm who barges into his neighbor's home very loudly: 1 stealth; 2 luck; 3 composure; and 5 stamina. (The "5" being for when he lasted 2 minutes, sheerly by running around like a scaredy-cat, with the boxer who knocked-down Theo in one episode.)

There was no Urkel-esqe character or trope in the movies. Not really something the game needs.

And the bitch druggie Asian girl in Part VIII who freaked out like hell when confronted by Jason. I think she was the cool disco kill.

Ugh, another double-post for JPops to merge! Such a shame.

Anyway, I'll saunter-off until more voices have chimed-in.

I have been afraid of this being brought up. There will definitely be some chatter when things settle and people begin to notice the stats across the board for the others as well. Could potentially lead to Nightmare On Launch Day: Part 2.

Those games as Brandon were no fun, he freaks out way too easy. I thought he was based on Julius- the only guy to turn around and fight Jason face to face (though Ali in Part 3 did try.) His composure should be way better. :P Also, he's a football jock who has probably played some big games- composure would be a must I'd think.

And yea, that discussion about intelligence/repair will likely reemerge when things calm down.

Are there perks which really help boost Composure? It's like...okay, apart from his low Repair, the thing which is a limitation for Brandon there; he's not that great at keeping his cool and breaking out of Jason's grabs. Can swing away (and run away!) for a long time but if Jason gets in that grab it's difficult.

So yeah, are there any notable Comp boosters that people have seen?

I've used three anti-fear perks on him and that guy still loses his cool when nothing is happening. Currently have a 47% fear of the dark reduction on him(I think that is the number, may be in the 50's) and he cannot stay in the dark for more than ten seconds without needing a flashlight. He is the most useless character, in my opinion. I think Vanessa and Chad are better at filling Brandon's role, even with Chad's terrible composure...he's so fast that it doesn't matter if you plan your moves. Brandon is just kinda there to get lucky and escape with someone else or die, which makes me kinda feel sad for him since I think he was one of the real life backers?

Well, I've made another stats readjustment out of boredom after having played and experimented with several counselors:

FridayThe13thGame2.jpg.68d79f2eaf71af954394cc2bed8ee355.jpg

 • Adam: -2 Repair, +2 Stealth
 • Brandon: -2 Luck, +1 Speed and Stamina
 • Chad: -4 Stealth, +4 Stamina
 • Eric: -1 Strength, +1 Speed
 • Jenny: -1 Luck, +1 Stealth
 • Tiffany: -1 Stamina, +1 Speed

I figured that Adam and Jenny would both need more Stealth to be able to work with and protect the more stealth focused counselors.

I also decided to make Chad a pure speedster to better suit his character, and to give him a different utility as either a distraction or a scavenger instead of focusing on Stealth.

Again, this was purely done for fun as I don't expect these changes to be taken into consideration

I would laugh my ass off if I saw this in game!

I double-posted? I usually check my posts afterward and didn't remember seeing anything? If I did, sorry. Was not intentional.

edit: Oh, I see! Back-to-back posting. Got it. Sorry.
