Jason movement speed increases when out of direct visibility?

Recommended Posts

In the films, Jason always had a knack for catching up with people unreasonably quickly, even though he is (almost) never seen actually running. For example, the mast-climbing kill in part VIII, or the scooter double-kill in part VI. Perhaps Jason's movement speed should increase when he's out of a direct line of visibility with the counselors. Just a thought...

I believe in one of the really early videos they showed during the kickstarter campaign, the developer controlling jason activated a "teleportion" skill to catch up to one of the PC's running away from him.  He could only do it once because there's a timeout/reset phase before he can use it again.

Yeah like a cooldown for super skills !

Super skill 1 : Speed increased by 500 % for 10 s   CD -----> 40 seconds

Super skill 2 : "Finish him" move   CD -----> 30 seconds

Super skill 3 : Teleportation  at some point on the map   CD -----> 5 min

Super skill 4 : Thermal / night vision for 15 seconds    CD ----> 2 min

As a "human", Jason was quite fast.

As a "zombie", Jason was quite slow.

Simple as that, in my opinion.
