Because Paramount didn't care about the movies. All they did was release them for the cash.

It was mostly because the uncut version would have gotten the NC 17 rating, which wouldn't have made enough money to be worth it.

There's that, too. Paramount was mostly embarrassed by the flicks. Don't know why, they didn't pay to make 'em. All they paid for was marketing and release.

Well how in the Hell did the lost footage from Friday the 13th part 2 ever get onto an old vhs if they were worried about the ratings.

The lost footage from Friday the 13th part 2 is rumored to be a seperate viewable extra that is silent because they couldnt include it into the movie from the vhs.

It must have been an old time Rite Aid Clam Shell original Friday the 13th part 2 vhs.

It wasn't on a commercial tape, it was on one that Catl Fullerton had done during production.

Wow thats a cool story and i read the whole thing.

But i dont understand why only one Death scene is added as extra footage.

The story says every Death scene was longer in the found footage tape.

So why didnt they just add the whole thing as extra footage.

It's all gonna be on there. It's the "Slashed Scenes" bit on the Part 2 disc.

What about Friday the 13th part 4 The Final Chapter.

there is an alternate unreleased ending never before released.

I Wonder if these cut scenes from the final chapter are from stored tapes.

This one?

It's on one of the previous releases, so it stands to reason it will be included. The Part 3 alternate ending on the other hand has never seen the light of day. Maybe it and other deleted stuff exists somewhere, it just hasn't been found yet. Chances are that Paramount chucked all that kind of stuff years ago. I do remember reading that tge people putting together the last Special Edition dvds volunteered their services to dig through the archives looking for stuff, and Paramount basically said "Nah, use what you have".

I don't want to spend over $160.00 just to watch the uncut footage from Friday the 13th Part II. Can someone on here who picks up this set upload it to youtube when they get it?

So let me get this straight. You don’t want to spend the money to get to see what you want to see.  So in turn, you expect someone that’s spendIng the money to share it to let you see it for free? Don’t hold your breathe on that one dude.

Actually the box set if you order it now from Shout Factory would cost you less than 160.00 dollars.

The Deluxe Friday the 13th dvd boxed set from Shout factory sells for 150.00 dollars but its a limited edition and wont last long.

Im sure months down the road that youtube will have the unreleased footage from the Friday the 13th box set from Shout Factory.

I'm betting that the footage for these Part II deleted kill scenes will be more than just 48 seconds. Hearing Greg Nicotero explain the Jeff & Sandra scene makes it sound like it's way more than just a few seconds with Sandra struggling to get Jeff off of the top of her.

When i read the article that @Dogmatic shared about the lost tape of footage from friday the 13th part 2, the article said that every death scene is longer.

they should have just used the whole tape as an uncut deluxe version of friday the 13th part 2.

Chances are whatever copy exists isn't in good enough condition to put on dvd. That doesn't go without saying, movie companies don't think it's worth it to release uncut versions.
