We all have our guilty pleasures in movies, television, and video games. What do you feel is the best remake you've ever encountered? How about the worst?

With the caveat that I generally avoid remakes, so haven't seen that many :

BEST: John Carpenter's 1982 version of The Thing, hands down.

WORST: Spike Lee's Oldboy. A F**cking perfect Korean movie remade just because of xenophobia and pandering to fools who (boo illiterate hoo) don't want to read subtitles. Plus, it's by a well-established director who insulted a generation of filmmakers struggling to break through by using F**king crowdfunding to make this abortion.

Best remake -

John Carpenter's The Thing.

Need I say more?

Worst remake -

A Nightmare on Elm Street.

This could have easily been avoided if they did the scene right where Freddy comes out of the wall while Nancy is sleeping.

Worst movie remake: Ghostbusters

All will be made right again with the release of Ghostbusters Afterlife this summer. Then we can all forget about the horrible Paul Fieg BS.
Can you believe he actually asked Reitman (the director for the true upcoming Ghostbusters sequel) if his version and Reitman’s version can have a crossover? I guess he doesn’t understand most people are trying to put that train wreck behind them and bury it in the past, lol.

Judging by the trailer, the upcoming GB movie could definitely  bring back the feeling of the old Ghostbusters‘ times.
