Nothing new for Halloween?

Right. We have the Environmental Kills issue the team is working away at and we're investigating some other things may take some time, as the team is going to ONLY approach these items similarly to how we approached the roof fix after the bad patch. Which is to go through with a fine tooth comb and make sure the entire system is gone over before release to the public.

As for the double event, it is really great that you may have reached 150 and got all the tapes already. But not everyone has. It's something fun we can do and we can be flexible with, so we thought it would make for a fun event. We recently launched on Switch, we have sales going on PS4 and PC, and we're free on Xbox. That's a lot of players who could use the 2XP and Tapes.

Perk drop rates and such are something we're looking into, but it's a tricky thing. We don't have IllFonic on hand for that and we want to take time to be cautious and know what we can and cannot do, rather than introduce an issue.

We'll have more info on where we are as we get closer to the new year.

Wonderfully stated! and I wanted to ask about PC settings not saving preferences which I have to play on the lowest settings to play and I hate having to go in the settings each time to keep changing it any idea on why it wont save?

I know this has been reported and I think there might be a workaround. Let me check in with support.

How about getting it fixed instead of having to rely on a workaround? I don't mean to be rude and I understand a temporary solution is better than nothing but c'mon, this is an ongoing issue for the past 18 months.

I spoke with support here and while this is something we've seen reported, it is not all that common, at least in report volume. Unfortunately, I was mistaken on the workaround, so please do reach out to the support team at JasonKillsBugs.com, if you haven't already, and provide any details you can.

ppl have reported this issue on steam and here on these forums myself included but it was never addressed. A quick search on the steam forums brings at least 11 different topics from users having that problem. Basically, every settings made below High automatically revert back to High every time the game is closed. It's been like that since the patch that brought the engine update on May 2018. Considering it was working without any problem before that patch there's no reason why it would be impossible to fix.

And yes, maybe there's a workaround. Some steam users suggested to change the settings directly in the .ini file and than make that file read-only. I did not try it myself so I cannot confirm if it's working or not but still, this issue should be fixed because there's no reason for a basic thing like that to not work.

What are y’all talking about, settings as in gamma, volumes and what not?

I’m Xbox and maxed out the account but i actually just but it for steam because the graphics look cleaner. Unfortunately I have to play on low quality mode I still have a 130 ping so I basically wasted my money and I have the recommended requirements to play. Kinda sucks

I dont expect this development team to release things 'for free'(are they not getting paid now?).  Did this game not just release on an entirely new platform?

 

Is the only work theyre allowed to do 'fixes'?  (I cant even ask that with a straight face, they have made more bugs in the game than they have fixed)

 

I get that you can't sell DLC.  Im not asking for that level of content.  What I was saying, and offered examples for--is tweaks to the game to entice new players.  Like you did do with Rage mode.  Something besides just a 'fix'. 

Map revisions(Pinehurst loot?) Would be nice.  A perk rework would be amazing(swimming perks?  Standing next to a radio to gain stamina perks???), but if thats too much trouble, than a simple higher chance of legendaries for higher levels would be nice. 

 

Or to really be cheap, just turn it on next event?  Yes, Im 150.  Have been for a while.  The last YEARS worth of events have simply handed out XP CP and tapes, with nothing to spend it on, so dont give me that 'good for you' crap, it benefits EVERY player, including ones that have stuck with you.

a special spooky tour of Gun Media Studios.

details on how Gun media was involved with Layers of Fear 1 and 2.

Maybe a Thank you and Happy Halloween to The Backers and fans that have supported Gun Media.

I'd love to do something, anything fun for Halloween. But in game is a no-go and live content is extra tricky with everyone being on work from home still due to Covid.

Could there ever be a dvd documentary of Gun media for sale showing the beginnings of the company and how Friday the 13th the game started.

When will Gun media Official Horror video game company t shirts and Hoodies be available for order.

Has Wes Keltner thought about releasing an Autobiography book about his life and beginnings as the go to Horror video game guy and company.

What about questions from the forum thread to ask for Halloween night.

Will there be a Gun media Studio in Hollywood California someday.

When can fans expect to see a good artist for Gun media t shirts For sale on Fright Rags and Terror threads.com.

@mattshotcha Im sorry to be bothersome. im just a HUGE Fan of Gun media.

Hopefully years down the road there will be an official Gun media web page with official books,soundtracks,t shirts and merchandise.

What’s wrong with posting in threads over 6months old and why do they instantly get locked? 
 

There was a thread about counsellor scream sound bites that you locked for the same reason. I didn’t know that thread existed in until it got necroposted and I wanted to post on it to see if someone actually had them for a video compilation I am making from my saved match videos.

In a busy & active forum it makes sense. Does that really matter now though? When there’s only a handful of posts on the forum per day is there need to police it more than the actual game has ever been? Especially locking helpful threads that people are actively posting in whether or not they are over 6months old.

@Top_Cat, just start a new thread about the topic. Clearly state what it is you are looking for and then maybe it will take off and you can get some helpful feedback. 
 

One good reason not to necro-post around here is, if the post is over 6 months to a year old, most forum members that were in the conversation probably aren’t around anymore.

As for necroposting old threads, it's a common forum rule not to do so. We're pretty mellow on new threads, especially if the topic is similar but not identical.

So @Top_Cat in your case, best bet would be a new thread with exactly what you're looking for. And @Kodiak is 100% right in the handling of it. Hell, it's an infraction on some forums, after a warning. It falls in line similarly with "bumping" threads, etc.
