People are Supposed to Die Period. No Plot or Story.

Recommended Posts

I Remember people saying that its not possible to have a story mode with Friday the 13th.

The Story is that The Killer stalks and Murders everyone.

There is no plot or story sort of like a porno.

To me these ideas are Boring and Friday the 13th could have very well had a story campaign mode.

Why do people belive that Famous Horror monsters like Jason and Michael Myers are just supposed to kill people with No defense or story.

Recently i was watching an episode of SLASH N CAST Where one of the guys suggested that if A Halloween game is ever made that there shouldnt be any weapons or Beating on Michael Myers.

I Can not understand why people actually belive that these slasher Horror games are stupid and simple with no story or plot and the killer murders everyone.

People saying there couldn't be a story mode, simply lack the imagination needed. That said, for this kind of game, it'd be a hell of an undertaking. The single player challenges I'm sure were a big investment in time, and resources. In order to do it correctly you'd have to basically write a movie plot. Probably several of them. That's alot of cinematic animation. Not to mention alot of dialogue. While a game like Friday could certainly have a story mode. The costs would be prohibitive for all but a Triple A studio.

I know i wouldn't want to watch people beating the shit out of Michael Myers in a Halloween game... definitely not scary.

It's an issue I've had with F13, the fight back mechanics could of been better.

All of these Franchises have a story otherwise there wouldn’t be 10 to 12 sequels in them..... a story campaign would have been great in F13...the same goes for a Halloween game if one ever gets made.

I think it be cool if Jason had missions kinda like now but maybe in between missions, there are flAshbacks of Jason  as a kid. Maybe the story is important events from Jason being young to where he is now. each mission has something that reminds him of certain events. They could tell us about Elias Voorhees.  Maybe tell us what Jason did between movies. Like being in the sewer at the end of 8 to being in that cabin at the beginning of 9. Maybe they could tell or let you play the drowning incident and show what he did after the drowning. Show ho he survived, built his shack etc. there could be a side story of the female hero all leading up to the last mission where you have to avoid being killed by her  or they change it up. put you in her role in the last mission. Man thatd be sick.   not very likely but I know I’d pay $1000 for it

Agreed. In all actuality,  Halloween had plot of Michael Myers trying to kill off his sister and later his niece until the 2018 sequel.  The killer has a target and goal and anyone who gets in the way is killed. The original F13 was about a deranged mother avenging the death of her child, followed by her child avenging the death of his mother.  Not much in the way of room to stretch the storyline, true, but the plot line does exist. But that's just my take on it.

Hopefully, future games in this genre keep that in mind from the beginning.

There will be other games in the future. A story mode would be ideal from day one in Halloween, or any other slasher based game.

Even another F13 game with a story mode from the beginning would be a great thing to have.

Hey that's what every slasher movie ever made has been!

People are meant to die, there's no plot, there's ridiculous and idiotic teens that are basically lambs for the slaughter.

Well If a Halloween game was made it wouldnt be any fun not to be able to defend yourself against Michael Myers.

In The Halloween movies of course Michael Myers is less likely to get stunned or Hurt Than Friday the 13ths Jason.

Guns,Knives and other things have proven useless against Michael Myers in the Movies.

My Guess is to Be able to Stun Michael Myers in a Video Game with a Fire Axe and then swing again Decapitating him.

Having a Revolver and shooting him in the eyes can stop him from finding someone.

There has to be a story i agree.

There has to be a way for Babysitters to defend against Michael Myers in a Video game Online multiplayers game setting.

Yes but if a Halloween game is made and there is a online multiplayer mode the teens and Babysitters would have to have weapons, axes, guns to defend themselves.

Maybe if Michael myers took enough damage he would collapse to his knees where a player could then Be head him with an axe.

In The Movies we know that Michael Myers only dies BY Burning him with Fire or Beheading him with an axe.

there has to be a way to kill the monster villan just like friday the 13th.

They never beheaded Michael to “kill” him in the movie. That person in H20 that got beheaded wasn’t Michael it was a fake. Really, they’ve only burned him alive to put him down for only to have him come back. In a Halloween game, burning him alive would be the way to defeat him.

@Strigoi, I have merged a double post of yours.

A double post is when you post a second time after a previous post of yours without anyone else having posted in between.

If you have more to say after your initial post, simply edit that post to include your additional thoughts.

I was about to say the same thing....thanks

@Strigoi there are tons of story ideas that could have been used for the f13 game....probably even more so For a Halloween game with as many timelines as there are.... I don’t have any problems with characters fighting back with weapons against the Horror icons my issues are with making sure the mechanics are balanced with skill being the deciding factor....If a Halloween game were to be made similarly to f13 I hope the combat is completely different and more things are added to the stalk / stealth mechanics because we all know Michael is more of a silent killer attacking his victims from the shadows instead of full on confrontations....at least till the final couple of chases start.

I think a good story in a game genre like this would go a long way in terms of replay value.

Definitely I kinda always thought the tell tales type of games could fit F13 or a Halloween game pretty well with choice based/ interaction that could change or shape of the story...

I agree. It's too bad that company went out of business.

There can be a story mode for some character like Robb or Duke that's looking for Jason, like a resident evil kind of experience.

That's an Intriguing idea.

Yes but i still think that babysitters and Teenagers, college kids should be able to defend themselves against the killer or the game will be no fun.

I Dont think that college kids or teenagers should be able to gang up and beat the killer.

If Gunmedias next game just happens to be Halloween there should be an assortment of weapons in the babysitters houses and college kids homes and Haddonfeild Memorial Hospital.

Maybe there could be diffrent modes to the game where you must play alongside of Donald Pleasence Character with a revolver gun.

We See in the movies that with enough damage Michael Myers will be brought to his knees for a limited amount of time.

Sure, I also hope if they do this as game that Michael can use different weapons throughout the map and isn’t locked into just one weapon in his hand.

I would love to be able to use Dr. Loomis!!

One of my absolute favorite moments in the Halloween series is in Halloween II 1981 after Dr.Loomis shoots Michael and the Marshal gets down to check on Michael because he thinks he has stopped breathing.......Michael grabs the Marshal slits his throat and rises from the ground seemingly more powerful than before....the figure of pure evil that will not die....the look of Dr Loomis face when he sees this happening is amazing.....you can see he is completely dumbfounded about what will it take to kill this thing....And then the Shape comes Forward and Laurie pulls Loomis away to find some kind of escape route or place to be safe from this evil thing that won’t die.

For a Halloween game to beat Michael the developers should focus more on different ways to stop him not really kill him.........Michael hasn’t risen from the dead in any of the movies......he just seemingly won’t die....

Halloween 1978- stabbed and shot off a balcony gets up and walks away...

Halloween 2 shot again including above the eyes.....room he is in is blown up....looks like he finally dies....

Halloween 3 - no Michael.

Halloween 4 - survived the explosion Shot (a- lot) more falls in a well......

Halloween 5 - survived the gunshots and falling in a well  crashed into a tree, shot some more Drugged and captured.

Halloween 6 - Hit in the head with a fire poker, shot in the shoulder, drugged and beat with a pipe..... gets up and disappears at the end....

Halloween 6 PCut- hit in the head with a fire poker stopped by the Runes......Kills Wynn and leaves the sanitarium.

Halloween H20 - Hit with a fire poker, punched, rock, stabbed a few times hit knocked off a balcony........(not him but we are supposed to believe it is smashed through windshield hit with van pinned against a tree and the van and be headed.)

Halloween Resurrection( yuck)- we find out he was not the person in the van.....so he didn’t get his head cut off......“karate” chopped and kicked by Busta- Bust, hung, electrocuted and set on fire.... wakes up in the morgue.

Zombie-ween 1&2..... stabbed, shot, shot some more.....shot impaled and stabbed some more...

Halloween 2018

Shot, hit by truck, shot, stabbed shot stabbed trapped......and set on fire and died ?? Maybe.....we will see....

Let's not forget that both Laurie in Part 2 and Jamie in Part 5 both appealed to Michael and made him hesitate for a second, just like the Pamela sweater stun. That might be useful in a 'Kill Michael' scenario. And since Michael has never run except as a kid (to my knowledge), choosing a Michael would require different abilities for him to utilize. But Michael has been slowed down by guns, knitting pins, hangers, knives, fire, planks, fire extinguisher,  truck, fire axe, etc. So there are plenty of weapons that can be utilized against him. I think a Halloween game would be awesome. Cheers and game on, my friends

The best horror movies are the ones that have social undertones beneath the surface and tell a good story. Th Just to name a few IT Follows (STDs), The Thing (mistrust and deception among society) Dawn of the Dead (commercialism). Nightmares, red white and blue does a good job of examining the changes in horror films through the decade.
