As promised, here is the picture* of Savini Jason(and myself).

It looked really cool in real life, poor Kane could barely see or move in the costume.  In the photo op area they recreated Jason's shack - complete with a canoe outside, with tons of props inside and laying around - Not green screen.  Even had the game lobby music playing in the background.

*Sorry for potato quality - it's a picture of the glossy picture they provide.

Here's my pic with Retro.

It was pretty cool, I have to admit. It was something I had to do, considering the history I have with ol' purple and blue. If any of you have the NECA Retro Jason figure, flip the box over and look at the credits at the bottom. My name is the one labeled "Special Thanks". My second proudest accomplishment in life.

Also, my buddy and I chatted up Ronnie for a bit while waiting for the print. It went about as well as you'd think.

Thanks for the heads up, downloaded mine. I kind of wish that I had been able to spring for the Savini op, but I'm glad I didn't pay the extra cash for the Part 2. It doesn't look right, just like in the game. From what I heard from people at the con, Kane wasn't really comfortable doing it since he didn't play that Jason.

@Dogmatic FYI they finally uploaded the Kane Hodder photo ops to the mad monster facebook page.  Apparently he dressed up as Sack Head on Friday - photo ops are expensive... wish I could have gotten all 3.

The costumes looks great, but must have been rather uncomfortable/limiting for Kane, because he barely moves in the photos.  Usually he's grabbing people, strangling people, etc.

Here's what I mean: Kane in Part 7 photo op

Wow. I never thought retro Jason would translate well to a real world costume, but Kane looks fantastic in purple and blue! In my opinion, it's the best costume of this bunch.

Yeah, meanwhile if you look through the Savini Jason photos, he literally barely budges between them. It almost looks like they just photoshopped different people into the same photo, he moves so little in some of them.

If I had to put my arm around sweaty strangers for eight hours, I'd be uncomfortable too.

That's not a knock on anyone who goes to conventions--it's just the nature of the beast; I go to comic conventions all the time, and EVERYONE is a sweaty stinky mess by noon.

It's even worse when you hit "artists row" at a comic convention, and the washed up porn "stars" are there selling pics and autographs to their core constituency.  Every meme and stereotype you've seen or heard about is true.  All of it.

Nah, the photo shoot are more akin to a cattle call. Come in, hit the mark, snap and you're off. He was only in the retro costume for maybe an hour tops.

i've been in a few of those. i think the retro costume looked pretty rad, and i'm not an especially huge fan of him... in game, at least.

They have a mid-sized one here in Cleveland that's relatively new, but back in my younger days,  I used to drive to Chicago every August for the big "Wizard World" one in Rosemont by O'Hare.  Trust me, you haven't lived until you've seen drunk Lou Ferrigno try to put the moves on a girl young enough to be his granddaughter.

Anyone know what they talked about on the panel?

I was at the panel.  It was pretty uneventful.  I can't remember too many details other than it was mostly about the creation of the game, and experiences.  The 2nd to last question was about some of the bugs in development, and the last question was mine about the possibility of seeing new content.  Wish I had a better response(or even better a video to share).

Yeah, it took him about 45mins+ to get into costume.  He couldn't move, see, and barely talk.  Ronnie had to come up and adjust his costume before my picture.  I spoke to Kane afterwards and he could barely remember/see anything from the photo-ops.  The mask made his head look a bit funny, i think it was the lighting, but the whole atmosphere was fun, and still a pretty cool and unique pic.  How often do you get a chance to see Kane Hodder dressed as Savini Jason, AND get a picture.

I wish i had gone on Sunday, but real life prevented me from seeing retro jason.
