I personally hope that they fix the camera. It's way too close to the character, and when the game is so dark now I literally can't see that much anymore. Before I could play this by daylight, but not anymore :(

Yes on both. First thing I did when I saw how dark it was was to crank the gamma way up. Just wish there way a way to fix how close the camera was to your char too.

I dont think its too dark or that it should be darker. The camera is also fine as its meant to create tension

If it's an issue change gamma a bit. It's not rocket science.

Change the gamma just makes the colors looked washed out, stop spreading this fake fix.

If the idea the devs have is that the game should be dark then the game will be dark. I can work around it to my personal preference by raising gamma a bit.

As it stands, nothing is broken, so there isn't a fix.

I didn’t see him say it was broken, but it’s way to dark for anyone to see. Turning up the gamma just makes the colors washed out and doesn’t help with extremely dark atmosphere. Once you get to full fear it’s over, certain Jason’s are invisible in forest or dark areas.

Yes, game is way too dark, I think camera is fine though.

Yep.   I shouldn't have to turn the gamma way up just to be able to SEE.  I don't have to adjust anything on any of my other games.

2, this is a horror game so you should really expect it to be dark and all

turning up your gamma is easily done in a matter of seconds i dont see how youre all complaining. it sucked before when the games looked like they took place during a daylight thunderstorm and you could clearly see everything everywhere

The game is too dark = your tv and game settings is toooo dark.

Also your 1st question in the poll has no.  "No its fine as is".

No need for it to be darker as messing with option can make it as dark as you want.

……..Oh , man.

You shouldn´t be able to see everything miles away when it should be dark as fuck. It´s also in a freaking forest.

Try to see something at 0:00 in a forest. Crying that it is too dark won´t help you.

The onliest Thing I could agree with , is that Maybe Jason could see better but not the counselors.

But, i don't know what to think about the games new lighting.

I guess I'm on the fence with that...

Well, where I live sun doesn't come down at all at summer.

Some of you really do take this game way too seriously :D There's no fear/horror in this game, no matter how dark it is.

Don't get me wrong, I love the game but it's not scary at all.

Yeah…….

But there are some Points where you can shit your pants (especially if that Jason just killed everyone silently under 8 minutes…….)

But the Lights could be stronger , I agree with that.

And I don´t take this game seriously , this is why I love it!

1.  Not exaggerating at all.  Try Crystal Lake.  Perhaps your tv or monitor's brightness is turned up to an insane level.

2.  Plenty of horror games out there where I can see something inches in front of my character.

3.  The fact that you are making excuses for something that is obviously another one of "the devs" screw ups shows your lack of standards.  This darkness problem exists in no other game I own or have ever played in 30 years of gaming.

1, i know theyre really dark like that but i generally just have my gamma turnt up a little bit.

2, i actually regret saying that to be fair. texas chainsaw massacre is a great example on how you can make horror terrifying even during bright sunny daytime. so ill rephrase that one: its nighttime, so you should really expect it to be dark and all.

3, im not making excuses for the devs screwups. if you took just a second to read my previous posts youd notice that im fairly pissed at the devs myself and love taking every single mistake they make as ammunition against them. which should show YOU instead that even i, as someone who pretty much hates and pities the devs now, disagree with night time being too dark should show how pitiful YOU actually are for complaining about something this little, something that is literally fully fixed by moving the gamma up by like .5 digits (a 2 second effort literally a 2 second effort dude, wth?)

the darkness is like one of the only ~2 good things that came from this update. i finally have a reason to use the flashlight now, and it finally feels like its actually nighttime. complaining about it like you are shows that you are incapable of doing a single 2 seconds worth of adjusting your personal settings. like grow up dude and learn to move in to actual problems, like the thousands that we have right now.

The darkness has made me miss many items, such as the prop. I had to turn my gamma way up...

Yes - It's just too dark outside but especially inside buildings. it doesn't have to be dark and gloomy to be scary.  If no one can see; how does that even enhance playing to make people want to play under the conditions with all the other stuff discouraging players to play now??? I've changed my television settings twice now and still can't find stuff because it's too dark to see. Camera closeness - I don't mind it as much as I detest the darkness in the update.
