Wow! You must be some kind of new level rebel. So edgy. Fight the power man! I hope your war against gifs goes well. Here is a video for you as opposed to a gif. I think you deserve the extra attention because I know that you will click the option to read it out of curiosity. Humans are funny creatures that way, and very predictable. Enjoy.

@Rexfellis I'm gonna have fun with him not knowing what we're doing!

Once you hit in the level 50s.  There isn't really much left to do so Im not sure.   Its not that fun being a counselor this patch, so Unless I can get Jason most of the time, I may be tired of it in a month.  And the bots are just TERRIBLE

What are you talking about?  There is still a shitload of new stuff to do after level 50, you still have new kills to unlock, the awesome bloody Jason skins, the additional variations on Mitch, Fox, and Shelly!   Now if you were to say once you hit level 147, there isn't much to do, I'd agree.

It's pretty clear that my point was made. You know you read my response and watched the video, and are probably still singing the song in your head now.

Again, back to the original subject. I think there might be a small drop in player activity before the patch drops, but I really don't think it will be significant. I feel that most of the real fans of the movies and this game are going to stick around. There might be some casuals that fall off until April/May, but I don't see it making a huge impact.

I think we'll see more people come back once new things are added. I know a lot of people will go for SP because they want that. I myself am looking forwards to that but I'm gonna try and play when I can.

Time to get back on track, yes I will still be playing the game till April. If I've played the game(pun intended) when Jason was Darth vadering counselors and when Jason become an amputee. Then I'll continue to play now.

I can't wait to see what Illfonic & Gun have in store for us in April and the months after that.

I probably will, but only as Jason, cos i've acchived everything as a councelor (lvl 150, all tapes, all badges).
The only thing that pisses me off is that i almost always get to be a councelor so i have to disconnect and try like 10 times in a row to be Jason.

Why not still play it? If you are a fan of the game and franchise you play it. Not just try new content after patches then put it down for a month or two.

You guys know what I'm going to say already.. stop the arguing.

As for the GIF images, if people continue posting GIF images as responses without adding anything to the conversation, then it will be considered spam. Jokes are fine but remember to post with intent. Posting GIF images to represent your response to a situation and not adding any actual words to your post will firstly make the thread load slower (much slower for those not on computers), secondly will clog it up with images that are frankly getting to be annoying, and lastly will likely cause the thread to devolve into users posting dozens of GIF images and consequently will derail it.

I'm keeping my eye on a few people who are particularly guilty of this. GIF images are not to be used as no-word responses to boost your post count up.

Whilst I'm here, here is my answer to this thread's question: I will still be here but probably not playing every day. Generally, I tend to play games until I get bored, then I take a break and I usually return later if a game is really good. I've put 380 hours in on Steam alone :) F13 has a lot of lasting appeal to me because it's my favourite 1-vs-everyone type game, and I love playing these games where one person is heavily empowered.

The game is boring, it’s always the same either escape by boat, car or police.

Killing Jason doesn’t work most of the times due to a glitch that protects Jason from stuns at least from my experience.

As a matter of fact the game itself has too many bugs and exploits.

It’s just not fun after 100 of hours since it’s always the same thing, either do objectives or be chased and as Jason it’s too easy killing people.

There’s little to no variety imo, it’s either walking or running Jason’s or fast dumb or slow repair kind of counselors.

Perks don’t do much either except for a few META perks that nearly every experienced player has on all their counselors.

It’s kind of sad because I really wanted this game to be something but it’s going downhill from this point on, I don’t mind the toxic, immature community on PC since I can mute people but the fact that I get ran over with the car or face teamers every once in a while really takes a lot of the little fun that is left within the game.

And even worse most of the mistakes could be easily fixed, look at DBD they have it sorted out, you can decide to either play a killer or survivor therefore teaming with Jason is near impossible and people won’t leave midway due to not being Jason.

Imma take a break until Illfonic sorts their mistakes out.

I really hope half a year from now on this game will be playable.

@Ghostboy20 That'll be you, take heed and grow up. Agreed. I've stopped arguing.  As you probably read. The ignore button is a thing of genius. Numerous notifications of tags and nothing to see.

Facts.

The grind is always the same, there is nothing new that has been brought to the table besides the new map and Jason being a threat again.

When I first got the game I expected there to be many different tactics to survive and many different strategies.

Jason isn't scary anymore, I don't think he has been for a long time. It's not because he isn't a threat,  it's just because he really isn't.

I still have fun moments on this game but the constant server issues, hosts quitting, hosts timing out, losing connection to hosts.

All I got to say is damn, no wonder a lot more people play dead by daylight.

Quick question for clarification, @Kodiak?

I think many of us are guilty of occasionally just posting a GIF response when it makes sense and gives most a chuckle. Is that okay if it is just occasionally (and appropriate), or are you asking for an all-stop? I just worry that if it's an all-stop, people might just start adding obligatory "bloat-text" just to fulfill the requirement.

That being said, I do heartily agree that it should only be a periodic and sparingly done thing -- and not even near half of a members' total responses. It does get irritating when more than half a person's posts are simply GIFs. In fact, yesterday, I asked a member to cut down on it, myself. That kind of frequency is not really very contributory to the forums. I agree that text should be contributed whenever possible to add to the conversation, but of course, this should remain a fun place to visit and make others both think and smile.

Just wanted to clarify, as I think the majority of us prefer to abide by the mods' wishes.

Danke Shoen, Mein Herr.

I agree 100%.

There is no real tactics, if Jason’s force grab somehow connects with your hitbox you’re done unless you have a pocket knife and also where’s the skill?

Randomly finding a pocket knife due to RNG has nothing to do with skill, sure skilled players can stay alive longer but skill isn’t really the most important thing and that alone is a shame.

I don’t like comparing Friday to DBD since they’re not alike but in DBD skill is everything, without skill you’re not gonna survive in Friday it’s more about luck and not being somehow force grabbed.

I just can’t get myself to play this game unless they’re actively trying to improve things that shouldn’t have been there in the first place.

And yea, Dead by Daylight is being played by over 20k people daily on steam which is more than Friday has on all three platforms combined.

There is option #4 - I will play the game a bit, but waiting for future updates to really play a ton, and in the meantime I'll catch up on other games.

I played with someone on PC recently with your exact username. I'm gonna assume that was you, because I doubt anyone else is that...err...creative.

They didn't seem bored at all. In fact, it seemed like they were still learning the basics...

I really thought I would get bored of this game quickly when I first saw it, but I had to get it. I came into this game fully expecting to die a lot as a counselor and perhaps even as Jason sometimes. Two teams have put me down legitimately so far, had to compliment both teams on their skill and execution of their plans, neither used a group of battle Chads. As a counselor, I have died a lot, just as expected. Although until the last patch, I was escaping way too much and too easily, it was starting to get boring. Much better now, more of a challenge. When it gets too easy, it gets boring quickly.
Well, pleasant surprise; I am over 500 hours in and still not bored. Still going strong, hell I am even telling the battle Chads to bring it on these days, though I was never one to run away. Just getting a lot better at killing the groups quicker.
While some of the community can be toxic, there are still a lot of good people to play with (yes, even in quick play). Some people add their own brand of humor to the game as well. Last night I was playing with some friends, long story.... but with the in game escapades in the final game of the night had he laughing for some time. I have not laughed that hard in a while.
Yes, I will keep coming back!!
