My biography

Recommended Posts

Hello guys! My name is Yan and I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

My parents are journalists, I still live here with them and I'm in the Freshman year of the High School. There is not much to talk about besides my family being poor and the fact that I have depression.

I have hopes of living in Mexico or Japan soon.

I also hate living here because:

1. The income inequality is extremely high. This makes Rio a place for tourists.

2. There is a lot of violence due to the drug dealers.

3. The taxes on electronic equipment are also high. So, I cannot play new videogames.

Unfortunately, I don't like to take selfies.

And that's it! If you want to reveal who you are, put down here in the comments!

Edit: Here's a face reveal!

If life ever gets too much to handle, hit me up my dude. My name's Dylan, and I live in Kentucky. My dad is schizophrenic and he draws retirement income because he hurt his back lifting a guy that was morbidly obese on a stretcher (he was a paramedic and also a volunteer fire chief). He also makes about $50 a week walking my neighbor's Yorkie named Bandit. My mom works desk at a doctor's office. I currently work at a camp on weekends and I'm basically a cross between a janitor and a dish boy. I go to college at a place called Lindsey Wilson College and I'm a senior. I graduate in May and my plans are to take a semester off to learn how to live on my own and not be so co-dependent on my folks, to rent a place of my own, and eventually move up to Ohio because I'm going to seminary up there to get my Masters of Divinity. I'm really wrestling with my Christian faith right now because I suffer from severe depression, anxiety, and delusional mood swings that cause me to have violent episodes where I break stuff and yell at people. It's hard to believe in God when you take meds and try to drown all that stuff out with alcohol, food, pop, porn, etc and nothing does the trick. My goals are to becoming an amateur film maker, find prominence as a musician, and to be an author. I want to make horror movies and comedies, I want to play in a metal band and be the singer and the rhythm guitarist, and I want to write both fictional books and books about religion. The books on religion will be self help books and apologetic books, and the fictional books will be my own horror stories that I either A) don't think are made for the screen or B ) I think are better suited for literature

@NoOneK9503

I am certainly not rich! I left school not knowing what I wanted to do and was very anxious about not going to University because I couldn't justify the up front cost and long term loan repayment on a course that might not get me anywhere as I didn't know what to do! I am surrounded by farmland and so ended up working the land literally. I drive tractors unless it rains, they breakdown or get stuck in the workshop. I work to live and live to work - its a double edge sword. I am on minimum hourly wage and have to work between 50 - 90 hours a week depending on the weather and what season we are in, usually its 6 days a week, but on harvest its 7 days all the time. I am a young person, but I feel very drained and tired at the end of the day and usually don't play Friday 13th until the weekend when I have more energy. Ideally I want to own my own house but I can't afford it and without a partner to share the cost I can't justify it either. I don't want to be trapped in renting so I still live in my cramped bedroom at my parents house. Saying all this I don't suffer depression luckily, but can see why others do.

@JF13

I am sorry that you are going through hard times but you will pull through and you will survive. The only one holding you back is yourself, it might not feel like time flies fast when you are depressed but time goes by very quickly. One day you will be standing in the future looking back and thinking about how things used to be and how bad and unending you thought they were, you will then focus on your present and will be happy you got through it and life is much better and fulfilling. Trust me.

@deathbat96777

I'm sure you'll pull through with your strong Christian faith, it seems to be your rock that keeps you going. No one is perfect or will ever be but as long as you follow your Christian morals you will always be a good person who will more than likely make better judgements. I wish you the best of luck with your plans for the future - who knows what will lead you where? Only time will tell!

I worked my ass off in retail... Once with a very high fever worked 13h with like 15min break once... It can be devastating when u just need to work ANYTHING  to survive, and the feeling of how something ( at least in my case ) has a control over u. Good thing is tho I kinda cured my fear of ppl that way. And my self esteem grew when I figured I was capable of WORKING. Even tho I really had no other choice I had to fight my anxiety and work or starve.

Huge X-Men fan here as well..!!  Do you collect the comics?  I did until recently when I ditched them because Marvel are forever rebooting and restarting the title, which annoys the hell out of me.

I used to collect comics. I have about 300. My collection is valued at about $1,400. I'm gonna hold on to em for about ten more years

I have about that many, give or take, from my collecting as a kid. How did you get the valuation? Is it official, or is it your "ballpark figure"?

I used a website that gives you price estimates based off condition. Most of mine are one of three things: near mint, very good, or just good. It took me about four hours straight because I did 'em one at a time.

@NoOneK9503, go to the thread "Create A Counselor" that I recently bumped in the suggestions section and go back a page or two and there's a picture of me. I still look the same, I'm just about 40 pounds heavier. So just picture that guy, but fat, and that's me :)

Edit: Don't know the name of the site I used

Second edit: Just realized I can use the same attachment twice without it going towards my attachment data usage limit.

I do that with everyone. I thought one user on here was a girl and I also assumed they would look like Deborah Kim. I was confused when they sent me back a picture of a guy in glasses with a scarf on haha.

I don't generally post info or pictures of myself online because some nasty people like to dox people with that kind of information, but I'll contribute what I'm comfortable sharing about me.

I'm no younger than 28 and no older than 32, I have two degrees in forensic based disciplines from two different universities. Got a right arm covered in tattoos, left is a work in progress :) I'm also a guitarist and I'd say in terms of style, I'd describe myself as being alternative. Been a gamer for over 24 years and I've been shooting since I was about 5-6 years old (only targets though, I don't dig hunting without a purpose to it).

I've got a fair amount of hobbies. To name some, it'd be gaming, designing artwork or media in Photoshop & Vegas, writing music and playing my guitars, shooting, reading, watching movies & TV shows, writing (currently have a book I'm working on) and some others. Tend to spend a lot of time with a few of my best friends, even though I'm friends with loads of people.

For those who are musically talented, I'll tell you a bit about my music. Been playing guitar for 6 years now I think, and I currently own about 5 different ones. I have 4 Ibanez guitars - one is a 6-string RGA42TFMZ tuned in E standard with standard light strings and I tend to use it for most general practice. One is another red Ibanez 6-string (forgot the model number) tuned in drop C with heavier gauge strings for when I want to play hard rock or metal. The next is an Ibanez RG8 8-string with some really fat gauge strings on it tuned to drop E, mostly for when shit needs to get real heavy. Next one is an Ibanez acoustic 6-string (forgot the model number again), standard light strings on it in standard tuning and the final one is some old Shine 6-string guitar in a sunburst pattern that I used to learn with.

My love of horror movies and survival horror games is what brought me to F13. I've always liked the Friday the 13th franchise, even if some of the movies were crap. Jason is one of the original and most iconic slasher movie killers, like Freddy Krueger and Michael Myers and even Leatherface. When I found out that one person got to play Jason and the rest were counselors trying to escape, I knew immediately it would be my kind of game. I always love being a super powerful character whilst everyone else is weak :) It stems from when I used to play Star Wars Galaxies and I had a Jedi character. Jedi characters took a long, long time to get as Jedi was a secret profession hidden within the game. I put my time in to become a Jedi and after that, my character became exceptionally strong. I used to take on 3 bounty hunter players simultaneously with a double bladed lightsaber and win - that's how strong my character was. The next time I felt that kind of empowerment was when Evolve came out many years later.

So, that's a bit about me :)

I also think like this, but I did just this time because I love this forum!

Even though I cannot play the game, that does not mean I cannot involve with people that like it. This franchise is awesome!

Hmm...as far as my biography,i said most of it in my introduction post.Grew up in an abusive home,got abused all through school life.Had a long string of abusive ex's that treated me badly,made fun of my learning disability,some of my ex's stole money/personal possessions from me.Tried being married once,but her family was even more abusive than mine,so i've been single for a few years now.Customers where i work still think i'm only in my 20's because i look younger than i actually am(I'm 42).Due to the abuse in my life,had 2 suicide attempts,both of which thankfully failed.Have great friends now,great co-workers too,so i'm in a bit of a better place now,though i still get stressed by abusive customers at the grocery store where i work.

As far as my interest in Japanese video games,got tired of seeing interesting photos in magazines,and online or neat games,plus other games that weren't getting released here,so i've been importing Japanese video games for about 20 years now,and learning how to play them.Last night i beat my Japan PS3 version of Resident Evil- Code Veronica X (It has a very easy difficulty added in that wasn't in the American versions of the game).The text in the game is in Japanese,but the voices,and Trophy descriptions are in english,which is nice.
