Please submit your definitive list of such individuals for scrutiny instead of pissing in people who are lamenting the dearth of quality frontmen in Rock.

And if Kurt Cobain or Eddie "All My Vocal Tracks Sound The Same" Vedder are on said list, do not Pass Go, do not Collect $200.

Just on the top of my head not best to worst:

Rob Halford

Bruce Dickinson

Eric Martin

Joe Elliot (Hysteria pretty much the decade defining rock album of the 80's)

Vince Neil (before he swapped substance abuse for fast food abuse)

Steve Perry

Dee Snider (there's a lot you can make fun of Twisted Sister for but you gotta admit that guy has such a voice on him)

Kevin DuBrow

Ooooh definitely can't forget Michael Sweet

Okay...if that's true. I didn't know that, and I apologise for that post. I've suffered from depression before - so I kinda know how that kinda shit feels. Genuinely - I'm sure we'll continue to disagree, but I certainly didn't mean any offense .

There's a lot we can agree on.  I notice a distinct lack of Lemmy, and I'd still put Freddie above most of the people on this list, but everyone's list is different.

Edit: I feel like putting Bruce on there was deliberately pandering to my well documented soft spot for Maiden, but I'll allow it.

Well isn't Lemmy's and most punk/thrash band's vocals intentionally bad and rough for effect?

This song always brings a tear to my eye featuring those 2 angels Kevin DuBrow and Randy Rhoads. :( It's so inspiring yet so bittersweet in tragedy. It's a shame pretty much no one knows this song. :sadchappa:

Has anyone asked @Freddie Mercury what he thinks of all this?

Well, darling i personally find it offensive that @J.J. doesn't think I'm the greatest rock singer of all time... I've proven many times that I am indeed... The Great Pretender.

OK seriously I don't care, that @J.J.  thinks Freddie isn't the greatest rock singer. Thats his/her opinion, everybody has there own taste in music.. And I'm not going to try to change it.

Gotta agree the "engine" of Queen was Freddie Mercury. Brian May has said countless times that was the case. You can't doubt Brian May who is a brilliant guitarist and bloke...but they all freely admit they went a few notches down when Freddie died.

No real surprise.

You're talking about someone who recorded this song:

Lying down on his death bed with not enough energy left to stand up, but was determined to sing one last song. (Google it if you don't believe it). Brian and Roger definitely know they were working with an accomplished singer, songwriter and multi-instrument talented guy...and have always said - he was the the guy "that got us there".

Actually Freddie's final vocal song was Mother love, after innuendo was released Freddie said to Brian " Keep writing me stuff, because I don't have much time left".

So Brian started to write Mother Love, Freddie sung the song until the Last verse. Where he said to Brian " I'm not up too finish this, I'll go home rest, come back and finish it when I can".

Well... He never came back😢. So Brian sung the final verse.

This song still brings a tear too my eye...

Anyways... Let's get back on track, or this thread will get closed.

You say that like it's something I should be embarrassed about.

Full disclosure: I don't embarrass easily.  Case in point, there is a time that, as a fully grown man, I shit my pants at work within the last 10 years.  It wasn't planned, and I didn't have any warning.  I took a step, and the next thing I knew, it sounded like a fastball hitting a catcher's mitt in my pants.

Thank God I wore underwear to work that day.

and this......as well as many, many other posts puts @Bropollocreed79 at the top of my list for laughs as well as @TheHansonGoons, @bewareofbears, @Cokeyskunk, @Splatterhouse, @The Tommy, @Ahab, @Thatguyinktown, @AdmiralJT, @The Gloved One, @BrokenFattHardy, @Hell Toupee, and I am sure many that have slipped my mind at the moment. As I have had coke shoot through my nose and was crying from laughing so hard at the above story by @Bropollocreed79.

As for mods, @NthnButAGoodTime, and @Kodiak even though I have had to be reprimanded by him twice over the course of a year, but was fair and consistent so no problems here.

Edit: Knew I was forgetting some..... @Freddie Mercury, always so nice and positive no matter the dumpster fire that is going on and @Alkavian, who always brings reason and some great info to the table as well as @AldermachXI

Edit #2: Knew I was forgetting a few, One should go without saying though as she is my wife @Shes.A.Rebel.88, but is new here and gets on very little due to her phone being so damaged. Time for a new one lol. @JasonLives86, @Maddogg_8121, and @RustInPeace for the fun match I had even though they whooped my ass around the map and left me with 0/0. Man I need to get more practice in.

And as far as my favorite rock singers,

Bruce Dickinson

Dio

King Diamond

Freddie Mercury

Rob Halford

Phil Anselmo

Dokken

Layne Staley

Gregg Allman

Randy Blythe (Because no one can scream and growl like he can with the range he has within)

Lemmy

And Tom Araya because no other voice would fit Slayer in my humble opinion.

Almost forgot Johnny Cash even though he was outlaw country, that man's voice was phenomenal.

Thanks! I try to keep topics positive, no matter how toxic\useless they are.

Oh! I forgot to make my list.

@wes & Ronnie(i don't know if he has an account on here or not)are the King and Queen of the forums, they have control over every one and over everything that happens on the forums.

@GunMedia_Ben is the former messenger, basically had the same job as @ShiftySamurai.

@ShiftySamurai is the new messenger, whatever Ronnie or @wes tells him. He informs us about it.

@Kodiak is the sheriff of the forums, he checks that no one is making duplicate threads or Savini threads. He also has an arch nemesis, Darrin Howards.

The rest of the mods: @NthnButAGoodTime, @JPops & @Ralph Wiggum777 all work at @Kodiak police station.:D

@bewareofbears is the Brock Lesnar of the forums, any challenge you throw at him. He conquerors it easily.

@Ghostboy20 @Bropollocreed79  @Cokeyskunk are the jesters of the forums, always finding ways to make jokes. Even if the topic is a serious one.

@Truth & @jameson87 are the realest guys on here, they tell it how it is. And don't give a damn about the consequences that follow.

@Alkavian & @AldermachXI are the teachers of the forums, spreading their knowledge with the rest of the forum members.

(if i missed any one, let me now).

Now we come to the forum users that were "unfortunately" banned:

@TheButtonMasher, @Darrin Howard, @TADAARAIS.

I can't think of anyone else, so. RIP i guess?

Ben is a producer here at Gun, and - as much as it pains me to say this - he's really good at the job. I am the Communication & Community Lead, so any screw-ups in communication are my fault (this includes last week's posting of Thursday's news). That also means that Ben isn't in community anymore, or my boss/supervisor/manager. Though if you have issues with me, or forum admin, moderation, or anything like that PLEASE PM BEN. :D

Wes & Ronnie are our co-founders. Wes is the President, Ronnie is our Creative Director. They are the bosses and my job reports directly to Wes.

My introduction to the forum probably wasn't that informative as I hit the ground running, but we can try to clear that up after this next update comes out.

Oh, my bad. I thought Ben was the president, and wes was creative directory. :P

Ah well, i'll do a quick edit then. Thanks for letting me now @ShiftySamurai.

At least i got half of it correct.

You can thank George Carlin for that, who, in one of his books pointedly noted that EVERYTHING can be made funny with minimal effort.  I took that lesson to heart, and his example made me laugh until my sides hurt.

Lol very true!

I think we all work at the Gun Media police station :) We get some pretty sweet perks too, like having big and shiny sheriff's badges with the words 'Forum Police' on them. We also get laser engraved ban hammers, although they're mostly kept in glass cases with the words 'BREAK IN CASE OF FORUM EMERGENCY' on them. I think a few of them are actually a little bit dusty :P

Thats the funniest thing I've read all day @Kodiak:D

So... How many banned imates are held at the police station? I know there was Darrin, but he unfortunately escaped again. But, is there any familiar faces siting in those cells as of right now?

(without naming names) Is there anybody who might "visit" the jails soon?

Or are the cells empty?

Well the Gun Media PD is kept under lock and key and there's only a few keys, so I can't say :) There may be people in our cells or they may be empty, who knows? You'll have to just stand outside the door and wait to see who comes out :)

Lol, as I am more active on here, the more I come across some of your posts. You sir moved from just the liked mod list to both columns A and B. And seeing how @NthnButAGoodTime was one of the first to welcome me and invite to the ps4 community he belongs in both columns as well.
