Really? It's like a whole industry, starting with the "Tijuana Bibles" of the past and one of Pornhub's top searches. Also, since pretty much every magazine centerfold (Instagram model, etc.) is often digitally enhanced (as well as make up, lighting, etc.), you are never truly viewing reality anyways.

You do make an excellent point about everything being digitally enhanced. But, yeah, the whole cartoon thing has always dumbfounded me. Never understood it but, to each their own.

My guess would be imagination/fantasy. Same reasons people read (and enjoy) erotic fiction despite a lack of pictures, etc.

If a game forces me to stare at a digital tushy for 20 minutes, I'd much rather it be a nice looking digital woman's booty than a dude. Because, I'm a huge perv and that's how I swing.

Great idea! Let's have more ways to taunt\bully a 6- foot tall, mentally handicapped man-child, thats sometimes referred to as Jason <_<.

That will go over great with the forums .

Women seem to love erotic fiction and I think it's been scientifically proven from research that women are more emotionally sexually stimulated and men more visually sexually stimulated.

It's why erotic fiction has always sold modestly well for the female demographic and on the flipside - the porn industry is one of the most watched and biggest industries on the entire planet.

Don't you know, just because you said it was probably those folks (meaning a portion of folks like that, not all in the world) it automatically means you are a racist, bigoted, sexist, ageist, blah blah blah. Can have no opinion of anything or point out anything someone is doing out anymore without being labeled as such. Check your privilege! LMAO

I apologize for coming off the way I did. I do truly love this franchise and game, and seeing that people slam developers over the smallest things really got to me I think. I'm not overly excited about new emotes, but it's just one part of a massive update coming. I appreciate what this game is, a project made by fans, for fans.

Also: Sorry about double posting?

Hey no problem man, I understand both sides of the debate get heated. I am not against emotes for the players who want them, just want a compromise on the mechanics of them a cooldown/stamina/toggle to cut down on trolling. Everyone has an opinion and is entitled to that, I am just trying to think of ways that benefit all players outside of the trolls because fuck them. No harm no foul here man. I like open discourse.

Dancing cartoons have no place in THIS horror game. This game was SUPPOSED to be based off of the movies, and Those of us who actually grew up watching the f13 movies expected the game to hold up to it's title. Why many players are so upset has absolutey nothing to do with being sensitive or salty, its more like complete disappointment in what was advertised vs what actually is. This game has been steadily making a mockery out of f13 and it is beyond frustrating for f13 fans to sit back and watch this happen. With all they've done to mock the movies I'm surprised they can even get away with keeping the title what it is.

I'm as big of a fan of the franchise as anyone. It is a video game though and it's supposed to be fun. I personally don't own the dance emote packs or anything but it doesn't really bother me to see people dancing in the game. I get it if you don't like seeing them, I'm just happy to be able to play a game that has movie accurate Jason's with movie accurate maps. Also I said that sensitive comment last quarter, why you gotta bring up old shit?

She is new here and trying to figure out the forums on her phone that is shot to hell and back, she probably didn't pay attention to when it was said.

Regardless of what's old or new, the game is supposed to immerse you into the movies. I understand that for some the emotes may be fun, and that's fine. To each their own. That being said, the original concept of the game is what seemed "fun" to many of us. Being thrown into the f13 movies, having a badass horror movie icon from your childhood chase you around with little means of defense, or actually get to play as the badass himself. All the extra that goes beyond that is unnecessary and pointless. Damn, I bet id make a killing making a survival horror game with all the legendary killers and have the gameplay be a mash up between the Sims, DDR, and GTA lol! Hmmm....

I think it's that you made a generalization about women which is what many would consider as sexism.

Wouldn't it be the opposite? Horny guys definitely want to see the female characters clad in skimpy or non-existent outfits. Low testosterone seems to correlate more with a lack of sexual desire. I think it would be the men complaining about the addition of more sexy costumes that can no longer get a chubby.

Is it sexist to acknowledge that approximately 60% of the player base of The Sims franchise is female? And this in an overall market dominated by males . . . quite a striking statistic that highlights an apparent female penchant for dressing up virtual dolls and making them dance, etc.

More emotes / costumes for F13 is essentially following down this path, and you can bet the backers did not have this in mind for the game.

Re. low-testosterone males, these are precisely the ones you talk of who need to fap to 3D models rather than going out and getting laid.

I didn't say you were sexist, only that your choice of language could be construed as such. "I think only women... do this or that" is a generalization. If you brought up statistics and sources you could say "Well according to this study, only female gamers enjoy costuming their character..."

And I'm still not convinced you actually understand what you are talking about. (Or this is a cry for help) either way I Googled it for you.

Hope this helps. If you are just lashing out at people because something else is troubling you (Financial problems, struggling to fit in/ perceived loneliness, etc.) let us know. We might not be able to actually fix the problem, but it always helps to talk to someone. Strangely, the horror community (from my experience) is usually pretty compassionate.

I never said you said I was sexist. I asked you a question directly, and you didn't give me an answer. It could start with a 'yes' or a 'no'.

Also, who the hell speaks in footnotes? I am not writing a term-paper, but as you asked http://www.nydailynews.com/life-style/women-click-sims-article-1.283191

Now, the low sex-drive. It is called 'sex-drive' because it denotes having sex, not staying at home and fapping your life away to cartoons / 3D models. Having sex, I suppose, means going out and finding a person to have sex with, and this requires a certain drive to do, yes.

Sex drive does not mean pulling yourself - that's easy. Wouldn't you agree?  And don't paste me another footnote, please. I'm asking your opinion.

If we were on the Sims message board and/or discussing the Sims, that article would be relevant. You need to find one that would be F13 or just video games in general. But that article is specifically about that game. It makes no comment on what items women purchase in other games.

Sex Drive is also known as libido. The Latin term it originates from literally means "desire or lust." It's not a description of the physical act of love making. So no, I do not agree because you do not know the actual definition of the word.

To get back on topic, I am looking forward to that Violet dance emote, because it was a funny memorable moment from Part 5 and I hope to see the insane Crispen Glover spasm dance from part 4. But outside of that, I can't think of any more emotes that really need to be added to the game.

You seem to be incapable or unwilling to make an educated assumption on whether the same logic (that females are more likely to enjoy dress-up and emotes) applies to F13, and I think this stems from you perhaps feeling like you must fight the corner of emote-loving F13 gamers because you yourself appear to be one.

I know what libido means. However, I will call you a pussy if you are a person who satisfies it exclusively by jacking off because you've got no game to seduce a woman, especially if you are 20+ years old.

An assumption is just that, an assumption. It's not a fact. And yes, I have made it clear in earlier posts that I do LIKE the emotes. I think they're funny. I don't use them much, because I'm too busy repairing things or running for my life. As for your second comment, you continually move the goal posts. You say you know the word, then you state the absolutely incorrect definition of it. You also seem really intent on trying to insult my manhood! Do you really think that someone who openly admitted to a bunch of strangers he's a total pervert has ANY sort of shame??? Lol! :P

And just for the record. I don't hate ya. Heck, I don't even hate that DorianRo guy, even though I disagree with 99% of his posts and just find him exhausting. I assume we are all here because we love Friday the 13th? People should be friends with everyone here, not constantly name calling and attacking everyone else due to a difference in opinion.

While we disagree about emotes, that bit about the being a pervert is gold. And your last points are 100% true, even if it is hard at times with the amount of salt that flies.

Amusingly, I am actually happily married! (I was surprised as anyone else! Lol) My wife used to tease me and call me "The Porn King of Westwood Ave." ( our old address.)

Yeah happily married as well, yet after pointing out to a guy to use the search function for topics and disagreeing with him I was called a queer and then ad hominem attack after attack followed and my wife and I had a great laugh at how salty people get over nothing. That bit about porn king had us laughing pretty hard.

Not to be a dick (like Chad), but your emote ideas are shit... Almost all these dances are bullshit from recent. Not 80's. Not to mention are pure trash no matter what era.
