As  backer myself I will buy anything they put out for the game because I believe in the game  but please let everyone have their own  experiences.

How am I preventing them from "having their own experiences"? I said to get over people using the emotes. I even offered up advice on how to AVOID the emotes. If they want to let emotes get the better of them, that's on them. I will continue to use them as I please. Everybody wins.

I agree, people are choosing to let the emotes ruin their sense of "immersion".

Besides you can blame the emotes all you want but the real one to blame is the person abusing them.

It's like blaming a gun for killing people when in reality it's all about who controls it.

Emotes don't have a mind of their own, people do.

Blame the individual not the object.

I meant to change it to the party emotes. I figured it out on my own actually haha. I didn't know until just now that you could change them around.

In the movies the only dancing that happens is before people are aware that Jason is around. A dancing emote never should have been included...totally out of place.

Neither was every Friday the 13th movie after the first one, never should have been added and the director thought it was totally out of place.

In fact Jason as a killer was never supposed to happen in the first place if you wanna get TECHNICAL.

Unlikely they can change emotes at this point unless they want to issue refunds. Besides, people are going to troll regardless if there is a dance emote or not.

Maybe if they also remove the ability to crouch, stand in the same spot for too long, take the weapons away, spawn the parts next to the objectives, make people bounce off the cars instead of getting run over, etc. Emotes are not the problem, the toxic players are. I don't think anyone would care if I was standing next to a radio dancing. Knock Jason on his ass and now dancing is the worst sin of all.

haha, yes. The sad truth is no matter what you do you're never going to get rid of trolls. They will always find a way.

I think it's time for Illphonic to sell us some more dancing emotes, I'll buy them instantly lol. Let me see how much that angers folks on here.

I like playing as Jason but I'm actually bored of playing him all the time. How many times can you do the same kills over n over?

So this is a bit contradictory. You are bored with a large aspect of the game due to the same old kill, yet you would rather they spend their time making more dancing emotes. That is what a lot of people take issue with, the devs are wasting time making emote packs when there is much more that needs to be addressed. I love this game but it isn't going to last much longer if it remains unbalanced and just not as fun as it once was. Maybe you're OK with getting into a game of Crystal Lake Dance Party, because if you have your way that is all its going to be eventually. But a lot of people don't play this game to just dance around, and it's annoying when you actually want to play the game and that's all people are doing. Not saying you're one of those people, but there are a lot of them out there.

Yeah, right. They will give a refund to everyone who bought the emotes. Ha ha ha, right. (but HEY, I don't want a refund, I want the emotes).  If you don't want emotes, then don't buy them. Don't use them. Stop telling people how they should play the game. Annoying as fuck. Private matches exist for a reason.

People who don't want the emotes don't buy them or use them, but thanks for the tip? I don't mean to tell anyone how to play the game, but all the people who troll emotes constantly dictate how I am now forced to play the game, so what is your solution to that? Do you realize that the people who want to dance the entire time are absolutely free to play how they want, but the people who actually want to play the game don't get that choice?

You do realize that maybe you shouldn't blame the emotes themselves. You should blame the people that are abusing them.

How exactly do they change the way you play the game? Why does it have any impact on you?

How do you "not have a choice"? Don't use them. Play offline. Play private and mention "no emotes" in your post. You have options, you just choose not to acknowledge them.

Dance emotes were always going to cause controversy and divide the community. It's incredibly unorthodox for a horror game to have dance emotes in them. You'd get the same response from other communities if there were dancing characters in Alien: Isolation, Resident Evil, Dead By Daylight (and every other horror based game ever released) etc etc. It's just way "out there", makes no sense in the context of the game and there was always going to be people who hated it. Strikingly obvious.

if i see someone dancing around in game any F13 feeling is gone. all i can think is "go play ddr?"  it´s doesn´t fit in the game, it doesn´t fit in any horror game.

i see more dance parties than good games. that´s the problem. that´s why it ruins immersion, the game, the feeling or what ever. and it is basically a invitation to troll jason. advanced teabagging. exactly what online gaming needs...

i stopped calling/escorting people to the police as tommy due to dance parties.

I get that to some people it ruins immersion. But they're also acting like they have NO possible way to avoid seeing them be used. I rarely see people use them anymore. Every once in a while I'll use them, but not very often.

You are choosing to let emotes and costumes affect you, they don't take away anything from the game.

There are plenty of other more important issues to address but you are complaining about a fucking skin and an emote.
