Items in the middle of the lake

Recommended Posts

How am I suppose to get the key when some Jackass was so selfish that he got the key and went on the boat and died in the water and the key sink to the bottom?

Is there a way the dev can fix this?

Thankfully i was able to see it on my map.

Is it possible for a counselor to pick up a battery or something, swim out into the water, and drop it to troll everyone else?

I don't know.

I know I was trying to fix the boat one game, and Jason showed up..my only route was to dive in the water and swim for it to the coast, but he got me then the propeller appeared in the lake.

Just remember OP sometimes like with me it was a legit accident.

Maybe he forgot he had the keys?

You can't drop it. But if you die or quit it's going to stay there.

@JasonKILLER report this to Jason Kills Bugs and they will fix it

Hopefully they will.

Key items lost in the lake typically wash up along the shore. It is possible that with the new item marking code something got busted. It wouldn't be the first time.

I tested dropping items in the water.

I can drop them on land. Have not been able to drop them in the water.

I see objective items drop in the water if you are killed by Jason.

The items can't be recovered if killed in the water.

You can hold items in the water while hiding in an exploit area.

Boat exit exploit for example. Jason can't kill you.

Parts will not show up on the map for other players

This exploit is on every map. Needs to be patched.

Its not a bug its been happening for a long while just like when people leave in a car with the items. I think a some items still spawn on the beach but its only things like knives and sprays, not key items. It they wanted to prevent trolling I would have thought this would have been the first one they fixed not the whole showing items on map thing.

Ahh well.

Thanks for the research, my man.

items use to wash up on the shore. there is a little bit of a delay, though, i believe.

maybe the item was ON the boat? if that's the case, it's probably as good as gone anyway. i can count on one hand how many times people have successfully gotten the boat out after it gets tipped.

Unless this was broken in the latest patch. When you die in the water or escape, all carried items will wash up on shore after a ray trace for the nearest shore location. This includes objective items like the fuse or car keys.

It was confirmed months ago so I'm not sure if the latest patch bugged it out.
