Yea I think you can say that. 

The 70s and 80s was the last great age of horror so far. The best horror that has come out since has mostly been reminiscent of 70s and 80s horror (It Follows, Stranger Things, etc).

Agreed. Blair Witch was good too. Kinda reinvented the genre...or invented its own genre.
