Favorite Freddy One Liner

Recommended Posts

What is your favorite Nightmare on Elm Street? Which kill? Which one liner?

I like the first or fourth film the most. I would say 1 for terror, but i watched 4 the most growing up. I did like Wes Cravens New Nightmare, even though it's idea is taken from Lucio Fulci's Cat in the Brain.

Favorite one line may be "How's this for a wet dream?!" Then he pulls him into the waterbed. Loved that scene. Another one was the "Wanna suck face?" Then kills the asthmatic girl.

Freddy playing video games was incredibly cheesy, the film was awful, yet this kill is one that stuck out to me for years. Another kill I enjoyed was the girl that was afraid of bugs and she gets squashed in the roach hotel. Dan from Part 5 on the bike will always stand out to me as one of my favorites.

I lived on a road that connected to an Elm St. a block away for a little while. If I remember right, the street was chosen because every town does have an Elm Street.

Welcome to Prime Time bitch was absolutely classic.

I forgot the puppeteer kill from Part 3. Always thought that seemed so brutal. Dragging him along by his tendons and veins.

For the comedy toning down the darkness and sometimes disturbing deaths, they were all kinda great...aside from Super Freddy. 4 and 5 had the best: "How sweet. Fresh meat." always stands out as well as everything with Greta's death in 5. Greta and Debbie's were pretty disturbing and his lines were great in them.

For being the worst of the series, Freddy's Dead had the best one liners.

"No screaming while the bus is in motion!"

"Every town has an Elm Street"

I also love part 4's:

"If the food don't kill ya, the service will."

I always smirk at:

Debbie - "I don't believe in you!"

Freddy - "I believe in you."

"How sweet, fresh meat" is the most famous and has become lexicon in the U.S.

I love a ton of his one-liners, but one I like using the most is "You've got the body.  I've got the brain." from Part II.

When Freddy was straight up scary.

His run was the best back then and it sucked when the movie creators didn't use it more in the films.  Best horror villain run ever.

One I like to quote to my daughter:

"What's with kids today huh?  Noooo respect."

Favorite film is Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. Just the right balance between scary and funny.

Favorite kill is probably the Puppeteer one from Part 3 as well. The idea of being pulled slowly to your death, you know it's happening and you can't do a thing about it. Absolutely terrifying. Awesome FX too.

Favorite Line: It's a tie between "You've got the body, I've got the brain" and "I'm your boyfriend now, Nancy"

"Told ya' comic books was BAD for ya" after he kills Mark.

And as corny as it is; the Power Glove was hilarious

I absolutely loved the power glove kill. So cheesy, but "ooh. Cool graphics" really spoke to me as a youngster.

And holy crap Mark's character portrayal of early 90s hipsters.... classically awful.

Man you guys mentioned all the great ones, with some deep cuts too.

Part 3 - "You're mine now, little piggy". I say this all the time to people and sometimes I accidentally let it slip with girls and it does NOT go over well.

Part 3 - "Who gives a FUCK what you think?!"

Part 3's got a lot. "Aw Will. You look tired. Have a seat." These are all the ones that echo through my skull thoughout the day.

I don't give a shit what anybody says, Part 6 is gold!

Part 1 - "I'm here" That's a subtle one.

I better stop before I start quoting entire sections of the movies.

Part 1 - "It's Rod Lane takin' Lantz down just 3 yards from the goal line! What a brilliant tackle! And the fans go wild!"

Part 1 - Rod: "What's going on here? An orgy or something?" Glen: "Maybe a funeral, dickhead"

I've seen Part 1 easily over 100 times.

I live near the real Freddy house and it's the greatest shit ever. The owners went out of their way to make it look like the movie (with the red door). And right across the street is the real Glen house that looks just like the movie too. For a lifelong Freddy fan, it's one of the coolest things to see in the world. I've been to Rome and seen the Colosseum. I grew up in NY with the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. I smacked the Liberty Bell. The Sistine Chapel....and nothing beats that street!!! Fuck the Mona Lisa!

The only thing that can contend is the Ghostbusters fire house in Manhattan.

Where is the real Freddy house?

Right off of Sunset Blvd on Genesee Ave.

I'm not the type of person to use the word "blessed" but being able to walk down that street and see it whenever I want and it's the real fucking deal to the 9s, is a blessing.  Every time I'm near there I always try to pay my respects.

Another favorite quote:

Part 1: "I'll kill you slow"

I say that all the time when I'm driving

Lol.  I live like 5 mins away from the Freddy house too!   Drive by it every now and again just for fun.  Came across an article a few years ago that showcased how the owners did a massive renovation on the interior/backyard of the house to the point where it looks nothing like the film anymore, but love how in spite of all those changes, they've perfectly preserved the look of the front of the house to still look exactly like the film!

Favorite film?  I'd probably say Dream Warriors with Parts 1 and 4 following close behind.  While I still on occasion enjoy watching Part 2 and Freddy's Dead, I don't really feel like it fits into the continuity of the series all that well.  To me the series is great as just Part 1, 3, 4, and 5.  New Nightmare, while great, sort of stands in its own universe.

Favorite kills?  Philip getting turned into a marionette with his own tendons made my skin CRAWL the first time I saw it.  Utter creative genius behind that.  Also loved when Jennifer got her head slammed into the TV and when Debbie turned into a cockroach in Part 4.  Absolutely loved the idea of Alice and Dan being stuck in a dream timeloop while Debbie progressively moved closer to her demise in the roach motel.

Favorite one-liners? "Welcome to Primetime, bitch!", "How's this for a wet dream?!", "Bon Appetit... bitch", "Help yourself, fucker!", "Welcome to wonderland, Alice!" and then for some reason it always creeped me out in part 1 when he says "Hey Tina!  .... watch this!" all menacingly and sliced his fingers off just to mess with her.  Just so maniacal to me haha.
