  1. 1. Should they bring back Team Killing (if they added something like a kick for killing more than 1 player, or marking you for death by other players after doing so)

    • Yes, Please bring back Team Killing for Public Matchs (But make some fixes)
    • No, We are fine with the new changes.

it´s actually only a problem because the devs aren´t able to policy the game properly. just not enough staff. they still produce new content and the engine update coming up. take a wild guess how many of the 30 people have time for actually reviewing reports. now add a decent playerbase of 15k like at start and you have tons of unviewed reports. propably still not looked at from last year. wich is clear, ain´t nobody got time for that.

a strict policy that makes sure reports are handled fast and fair is the only thing that could make friendly fire work. cryfest back then may have been a bit of a overreaction ofc, but ya know, when there is smoke there is a fire. and like said, i got killed more than once only at the radio to call tommy, not because of teaming with jason but because they wanted the 50xp for themselves. it´s not about beeing killed btw, it´s already a pain if people only try (most couldn´t do more without a shotgun, trolls be noobs like always) they might not kill you, but the match is still ruined.

and finally the fact that it is still a problem with the car. in QP you better stay away from a driving car if you don´t know the driver. 300 ppl online in steam and 3 topics raging about getting teamkilled.

These comments don't make much sense. If someone wants to troll you right now, they can run over and kill the entire team by car and then commit suicide if they don't want Jason to have the kill. They can also easily hold on to the fuse, keys, or any vehicle part to prevent you guys from getting it started. I've even seen Vanessas run around the map and waste all shotguns, flare guns, and etc. on purpose so the team does not have them.

You will never get rid of trolling in any multiplayer game. But there is no reason to botch and ruin the original experience of the game because of a few bad apples, which is precisely what Gunmedia did by completely removing Friendly Fire altogether.

Few bad apples my ass

If you wanna kill people go play a private match and leave this shit where it belongs, in the dumpster

If we have salt mines maybe they will teamkill back? it was really useful for example, when Jason in team with another counselor

If team killing is turned back on, the trolls will not be the ones rage quitting.... it will be the people they are trolling. These would not be the people normally quitting, why should they have to deal with this AND be thrown into the salt mines? This would simply reduce the play base beyond the point of resuscitation and certain trolls would finally consider their job here to be done. Perhaps they will move on to your next favorite game to harass you there, leaving the desiccated corpse of this game to be forgotten by all.

I agree with some of the OP points, but the community is much, MUCH too toxic to even think about returning friendly fire.  Even with all of the various improvements, trolls are still out there way too much.  Friendly fire coming back would completely ruin the game.

I don't know why the devs decided to eliminate the friendly fire, it makes the game more interesting, and more realistic in my opinion

I actually agree, but it should NEVER BE BROUGHT BACK TO PUBLIC MATCHES. It was abused in almost every match back then.

+ 1

But for the teamkilling there must be a more severe punishment. May be level decrease? (for example -1000 xp = - 1 lvl)

What about just making friendly fire hurt the person that did it? You still have the risk (even more, really) and trolls would just be dying.

Thats f**kin interesting. I like it.

That was pretty much the same thing I said to myself after thinking about it lol

I can't believe I didn't think of that sooner... I always said "there's NO way it can work". I think this IS the way.

@Truth I think unfortunately it'll lead to people being less inclined to try to save their fellow counselors. I do agree it'd be a fascinating mechanic, but feel it'd back fire really fast. Also you'd have trolls intentionally diving infront of people swinging weapons/trying to shoot Jason.

I disagree. You SHOULD be careful with weapons. And how many people currently feel inclined to help? I think those that do now still would. Regardless, this could work great in private matches.

@Truth I'm not saying it can't work. I'd love to see it attempted. As for people helping I always try. I do think it would give others pause though. Especially since you risk being penalized for doing the right thing. My biggest concern is it potentially handing another weapon to the trolls.

That's pretty funny.

How about:

1. The person that commits a friendly fire incident immediately loses control of their counselor (frozen in place).

2. They (the team killer) have a cut-scene play (like when Tommy comes into the map), but it shows a gyrating Chad from the waist down wearing his banana hammock in an endless loop. The cut-scene plays obscure 70's porn music and cannot be skipped or exited (short of hard crashing the system).

3. Jason immediately has the offender marked on his map for ease of locating them and dispatching them. Jason earns double XP for dispatching the team killer and the team killer loses 1 level.

Ta da! ?

Teamkilling is still able to be done in private matches. Leave Friendly Fire there... and not in QP.

It's also still abused in private matches. If the player just ended up hurting themselves instead, there's pretty much no way for them to troll with it.

@Alkavian sounds a little excessive, but that would be hilarious.

I do agree with friendly fire coming back. It would help Jason in mobs.

HOWEVER

The key is you would no longer be able to kill someone...instead only causing them to limp and the limp is a powerful enough incentive in itself.
