  1. I have an idea to let friends join in, in the offline mode (or private match) as coop or vs. To play against a bot Jason, or to play as Jason against friends and bots. Of course that would be an option in offline mode to accept/invite players or not, as you would want to play offline mode offline as well. To be able to fill empty playerslots with bots in both offline mode and private match/quick match. Notified the devs and got an answer on twitter. Hope something might happen soon. https://twitter.com/F13GameSupport/status/873181714671120385?s=09
  2. 2 Gameplay Ideas Tommy AFK System One of the more annoying things in the game is when another person is picked to be Tommy, only to be AFK. An idea I had is when someone in the lobby was AFK during the game, they can't be picked as Tommy, or, if Tommy spawns and doesn't move for a certain amount of time, Another person takes control of him. Create your own Jason or Counselor I doubt this would happen, but I think it'd be cool if we could create a Jason or Counselor with an avatar maker type thing. For the stats, the player could add stats freely, but can only have a total of 35 stat points. The player would also get an option for a random avatar or random stat generator. If having stats become too OP, there could also be a rule that players can't have too much in one stat if they already have a lot in another. I feel like adding something like this would really add some spice to the game, as well as some more player involvement and creativity.
  3. Good Afternoon I trust you are well. More and more in recent weeks I have come to realize that the trolling of Jason is becoming a larger issue once more, like with the pocket-knife debacle not so long ago. Almost every match as Jason over the weekend had counselors group up and actively pursuing me as Jason, stun-locking and taunting me. One thing I do feel has to change is the fact that counselors teabag Jason when he is down. If this were like the movies, you would want to be as far away from Jason as possible. I suggest adding a new environment kill to the game, where when Jason is stunned laying on the ground and a counselor comes to squat over him you should be able to hit 'E' and kill them in some horrific way to punish them for coming so close to you. Also, along the lines of being stunned. I suggest one of two changes: Either diminishing returns, or a rage builder. What I mean by diminishing returns is that if Jason gets stunned, it last for the full duration. If he gets stunned again with a certain amount of time after the first stun, it is halved. If he is stunned for a third time after that within a certain amount of time, it is a quarter of the duration. Or stunning Jason should be adding to his rage timer. Each time he is struck with a weapon and stunned, his rage should increase faster. When he hits enraged mode, he should be resistant/immune to stuns from this point on to make him more menacing. Would love to hear your feedback!
  4. I am curious. With the DLC for Jason X or as many people call him UBER JASON coming out soon. I just want to see some thoughts about this. I for one am excited for the future update, but there are still questions. Such as: what are his strengths and weaknessess, how is the map going to play out, etc... I think the map should include different methods of gameplay. Such as calling the rescue pod crew instead of police, using escape pods as replacements for the cars, possibly having the android or Brodski as the 'heros' instead of Tommy Jarvis. Also they should add the virtual simulation from the movie in game aswell. So the map plays out as normal in a camp, but it is static like and much smaller. What are other thoughts about UBER JASON. I posted my kill ideas for Jason X on my other Lead of NEW KILL IDEAS aswell.
  5. Hey guys, I have a question, do you know if it's possible to do share play on the PS4 with this game? I have a friend who doesn't own the game yet but we would like to do the play together via shareplay. We did try yesterday but couldn't get this to work. Is it possible?
  6. Hello. Myers here............. And I am here tonight to discuss the apparent most important topic regarding Friday The 13th The Game... Quality of the gameplay Here are the general topics that we will be discussing, which will be regarding the upcoming update. The Upcoming Update Virtual Cabin 2.0 Offline Bots The Patch Theory of more upcoming updates Okay let's begin. Virtual Cabin 2.0 Okay so if we use the Friday The 13th The Game roadmap we are standing right between the Halloween pumpkin "My favorite Halliday" "Yes I said Halliday" and the Virtual Cabin 2.0 update you can obviously tell that our next update without a doubt will involve that specific content. However if I am to be honest with you I am not to hyped for this content though it still sounds like a good addition to the game. All we have to do is look back at our sources from the official site. From what we know it will still contain a F13 museum experience with according to them will have Easter Eggs, secrets and unexpected jump scares... Sounds fun. It will also be in a first person view while playing... One could only guess what lies behind the secrets of this content. But we've had a Virtual Cabin before on the PC. However it is confirmed that this Virtual Cabin 2.0 update will indeed make it's way to not just the PC but consoles as well such as XBOX One and PS4 which I reckon is good for me considering I am a console player. Not much more details to go into with this update so that leads us to our next topic which is my favorite discussion thus far... Offline Bots Yes this is what I look foward to the most and what I can say about this update which includes the last I mentioned is that we do know unless plans change that the next 5 content/updates are suppose to be here between now and Winter according to the roadmap the next icon is a snowflake mark rather if that means the first day of winter "December 21st" Christmas day "December 25th" or the last day of winter "March 20th 2018" that is central time of course. However I refuse to believe that all this content between Halloween and The snowflake is a time period between now and 2018. I would like to think that the snowflake means Christmas in general. What I do know is that the informers of the game have informed on this website just a couple days ago this new update will be content focus with minor patches and we should be seeing very shortly. Pretty much in the next couple of weeks. I'd like to say two weeks but I'm gonna say three-four weeks. The Offline Bot mode will allow players to play Offline without an internet connection which is good for many players. Not just the fanbase but the developers as well because that means more money comes in for them. There are many gamers who want to enjoy this Friday The 13th experience but incase you didn't know there are loads of gamers or have no internet connection, not only that but many gamers prefer singleplayer experience and doesn't like playing online due to the unfortunate fact there are many bad sports and screaming people over their microphones. Sure you can mute them but there's still a huge list of things that ruins gaming experience for other players while playing online, thus is why it's a really good move to give players like myself or even you the Offline Bots mode to enjoy at least til the actual singleplayer mode is released which we'll discuss in another topic. The Offline not mode is just like the online mode just offline. You will be playing as Jason and only Jason so you can hunt down councillors and skill and level up your Jason. Plus it's a good break from surviving as that for some players may get tiring after awhile. The reason you can only play as Jason in offline mode is simply because the developers are having a hard time programming Jason to feel like a real Jason. Programmed Jason has an issue with running into walls rather than trying to properly chase you which as they said and as I agree is not fun, nor is it scary. I hope and believe that this content will be released the same time as Virtual Cabin 2.0 update which should be very soon. The Patch There are a lot of huge issues regarding the game. Achievment issues and my biggest issue with the game of all are hosting sessions. Let's face it. If you've played long enough we've all waited forever for a chance to play as Jason and when the moment finally comes the host will quit and if the host quits you and everyone else in the session will be kicked. That's terrible! What they need to do is make it to where when a current host quits a session a new host takes over out of the selection of players. I remember the first time I got the game I waited forever to be Jason and the first time I got to be Jason my first time experience was ruined because my first kill was literally the host and before I got to kill anyone else the host quit because he/she didn't want to wait for the game to end. That really sucked. I think when it comes to patches that should be the biggest concern to fix rather if you disagree or not. As the informers posted there will not be major bugs and fixes unlike the previous update. They fix some minor stuff though. Many players are heated by this fact and that's understandable but I think what we need ASAP is the offline mode because there are many players who don't have a connection to the internet to play and wants to and has been waiting longer for this game than those who have a internet connection. Besides the offline mode as for the rest of the content I think should be put off until the major issues are fixed. All we do know is while there will be some minor fixes, this next update is content focus which will contain Virtual Cabin 2.0 and most likely offline Bots as well, possibly more. Last but not least. The Theories Well as for more upcoming content soon we will be getting a Singleplayer demo which will contain challenges, new councilors and a new map. While as far as I'm concerned there are not much confirmations of these contents. I theorize that the upcoming new map could be from crystal lake from the beginning of part 8 but there is not much to show from that considering most of the part 8 film took place on a boat and Manhattan, New York. I've heard somewhere that one of the new councilors will be Mark from Part 2.... Only problem is... Mark is in a wheelchair... How would that even work? But just cause it's Mark doesn't mean that he'll be in a wheelchair which I'm sure he won't. As for councilors I'd like to see the female lead from 1980 The original Friday The 13th or even the lead from part 2. As for the demo I have not much to go on about that. Like I said before they will be challenge based but with story elements from the movies. That's all I have left to say and I will post more news and topics whenever more announcements are made. I may do a post about the possible upcoming new Jasons we are getting soon. Leave a comment and leave me your thoughts on these topics. What would you like to see? What are you looking foward to the most? Sincerly, Michael Myers

  9. I'm a huge fan of your game , but ever since the recent update , every time I play as Jason , the teleport won't work ! Which makes things so hard for me when I'm playing as Jason . Basically the cursor won't move . As a matter of fact there is no cursor on the map when I'm trying to teleport. It's like invisible . I say this because I can teleport , but I can't see where the cursor moves too . Please help ! My gamer tag is oOKidAllStarOo on Xbox live . Please and thank you

  11. Some of the players on so many forums and media outlets are crazy to me. I guess I just see it differently. This game is not Dead By Daylight. It's not supposed to favor the counselors. Jason is supposed to murder people, multiple people, every game. There should not be frequent games where every person is surviving. The entire point of the game is to show the movie slasher maniac Jason Voorhees chasing & murdering teenagers. You're supposed to feel panicked, like you're on a time window & that you're constantly struggling to live/survive. You don't WANT Jason to find you or grab you or catch you outside of a building. Everyday there's new threads that pop-up wanting to nerf Jason. Saying his skills are too strong. Saying counselors are too weak. Yet as much as I've played this game, I see people survive every game. I rarely see games where Jason kills everyone. I see people that work together & achieve objectives. I see people that rope-a-dope Jason for a pretty lengthy amount of time every game. I see people, strangers, that communicate & group up. You get to play Jason like 1/8th of the time - do you really want to feel like it's a chore to play as him when you finally get him? It should be fun! You should feel super strong! Do you really want to play as a counselor and feel like the game doesn't have any challenge? Is that worth it for the 1/20 games where he grabs you from farther than you feel you should have been grabbed? Jason goes for a grab & misses (it happens a lot). Jason gets hit with fireworks & stunned. Jason gets hit with a weapon & knocked down. Jason finally grabs you & picks you up but gets stabbed with a knife. Jason grabs you again & a teammate hits him & breaks you free. Jason gets shot with a flare gun & stunned. Jason is frustrated but finally gets you & kills you with a grab kill. OK, that's 1/7 (1/8 if they call Tommy) of the counselors but Jason is too OP because that person still died so it's bullshit..? And that's not counting if that person has a big stamina pool & is close to cabins (as you should be) to be able to window jump & go back-and-forth between two. While Jason has to break windows, break doors, hope to slow you with a throwing knife, listen for if any of his traps go off & wait for his cooldowns to comeback while you're bouncing between. Or if Tommy comes back to help you get away. Or if another teammate comes to help you get away. Or if he leaves because he hears something else that's more important (like a car engine) or believes you when you say into the mic "just take the boat & go, he's on me!" You know when Jason dominates? When people are silent, run around with a thumb up their ass & don't try to accomplish objectives. You got killed in the woods? Why were you in the woods? How much noise did you make? What items did you have? Does anyone else in the game know what items you died with? Did you die to a grab? Did you die immediately, or did Jason have time to walk you out of the brush to an area that required more space for his animation kill? Were you completely unarmed? If you were out in the woods unarmed & got shift+grabbed & died I don't care how far away he snatched you with his grab, that's your fault. Where did you spawn? How many drawers did you get to go through before he found you? Did you have a map? A walkie? What objective were you working toward? Jason is not too OP. You think they put all of those kill animations in the game & had all of those Kickstarter backer goals of kills so that the random Tiffany counselor can escape with the cops every game? C'mon, man. "Oh but it's a bug!" "Oh, but it's a glitch!" "Look at this animated .gif of his grab for the thirtieth time that was set-up by two people in a private game that didn't happen in a game I was in!" You died. You can play again. It's not a big deal. You're supposed to die a lot in this game! Think about the circumstances of how & why you died, even if you died to Shift+Grab into Asphyxiation. Did you have teammates around? Did you have a knife? How early in the game was it? Why were you not in a cabin? How much noise did you make? Were you installing something & messed up? What's the repair of the counselor you were playing? I feel like a lot of times there's other reasons for deaths other than "that's BS, Jason is OP. Nerf pls." Were you communicating with teammates? It sounds like some want the counselors to win all the time & that Jason is supposed to work hard to achieve one kill on a nobody when he's expected to kill multiple nobodies per game. The game is about Jason, not the counselors. Jason has four Skills total. Four. Morph, Shift, Stalk & Sense. I've seen threads already saying that Shift, Morph & Sense are too strong. I've seen threads that his Grab is too strong. That his animation kills are too fast. I've seen threads that a Jason that swings his weapon is "cheap" & that his swing is too fast. I've seen threads that Jason's traps are too OP & putting them on objectives is not fun. Like, I don't know what people want? You want a Jason that only has Stalk & Throwing Knives? It's frustrating to keep seeing all of these nerf threads pop-up when I'm playing & enjoying the hell out of the game. I die a lot. I survive a lot. I've been Jason quite a few times. Sometimes I get quite a few counselors, sometimes I don't get as many as I think I should. That's the name of the game. Ask yourself questions & think of the circumstances surrounding your death after Jason gets you. What could you have done differently? Was the death your fault?
  12. *Reposting this here because I think other one was in wrong section First, allow me to say that I've been hearing this not only on this forum, but many message boards and it is most definitely the biggest elephant in the room regarding strict game-play concerns. Getting right into the topic; SHIFT-GRAB INTO INSTANT KILLS IS NOT OVERPOWERED. It may seem like an overpowered cheesy tactic at first, but over time in the context of the actual game through higher levels later down the road, it is actually needed to keep Jason "competitive". I cannot fathom with how many players come to the conclusion of "wow, this tactic is so unfair and should be removed" by playing random pub games online or a night with friends. Have any of you actually ever played against an entire team of COMPETITIVE counselors that know what they're doing and how to play the game at a very serious level? It is very difficult to stop a team from surviving in this game and over the course of getting to play against MANY competitive players together (some very good old school team-orientated survival competitive players over the years from LEFT 4 DEAD, DBD, etc.) Once you are put to the test against SEVEN OTHER competitive survivors constantly and grinding the games in and out, you realize some of the flaws and disadvantages that a team can pick apart and abuse on the Jason user. And NO, I am not talking about searching in public games randomly until you find a team of people using "mics", it's much deeper and more complicated than that. Let's quickly breakdown why shift-grab deaths are needed: 1.) It's Jason's best and only way to successfully kill a counselor more often than not (unless they have a pocket knife, which completely negates this option) wasting 2-3 minutes trying to kill a counselor juking, stalling, or receiving your full attention is VERY detrimental to the overall pace of the game and most often must be abandoned to multi-task other areas and ensure openings do not happen. Keep in mind you only have 20 minutes to kill each survivor, so you can't possibly spend close to three minutes trying to chase, attack, and kill each one. 2.) Counselors out run and maneuver Jason throughout most of the game which would make him almost completely useless if it were not for skills such as morphing, shifting, and throwing knives. Map morphing and throwing knives while they are indeed "options", are in no way reliable or comparable to the viability of shift. A counselor that knows what they're doing is going to be zig-zagging, feinting, cross-path juking, bluffing their movements, 180 quick turns, etc. which Jason it is not as simple as "just shift grab and kill", you must PREDICT the counselors movements ahead of time and make a BALLSY read which forces you to COMMIT. Yes, it is easy to grab predictable players in public search that don't have many hours put into the game and are just playing on their Friday night off for some fun. It is entirely different to successfully grab and read movements from a competitive player that knows the map and generated random layouts in and out. 3.) Against competitive groups playing together the tactical stalling and defense trying to make an open can be severely difficult and time consuming which is why banking for a shift-grab kill every time it's off cooldown is sometimes the ONLY offense opportunity you can get. If they have weapons, flare guns, shotgun, firecrackers, etc. this is all going to be very time consuming and force each of your attempts in a manner of "make it count". Let me ask you, how on Earth would you (as Jason) even attempt to kill a team of counselors together with melee items such as bats, machete, etc. without shift grab? You are most likely going to be eating a LOT of stuns and wasting a LOT of valuable time in which other counselors can heavily take advantage of the scenario. It is not fun and very demoralizing. Especially in the way that this scenario is quite common and easy to recreate at high levels. 4.) You must multi-task the map and always be aware of other counselors and their options, agendas, and what their plans may be. ALWAYS have to keep the house with the phone section trapped, and be knowledgeable as a few seconds off your focus shift could mean a VERY bad and early game with a call getting through. This means as Jason the most optimal way to play is with background noise boosted so you can hear if phone is tethered, picked up, car engine starting, etc. BY THE WAY (IMPORTANT) - The negative penalties of 'sound ques' of counselors messing up with gas, battery, etc. barely does not happen at a high and competitive level as counselors with high repair are almost ALWAYS in charge of performing these duties and have cover to back them. 5.) PERKS, MY GOD PERKS! If there's something you want to complain that is actually "OP", well here you go! Before you read this section KEEP IN MIND that everything prior to this and strictly based on if "Jason shift grab is OP" or not has been conducted and tested WITHOUT THE USE OF PERKS! We attempted to play some "high level competitive" F13 using some of the best perks... and well let's just say the games did not end up being very competitive and was more of a headache and disaster for the Jason player way too many times than not. Having seven competitive players start with Epic Perk Double healing and First Aid sprays is COMPLETELY BROKEN and made if you did not instant kill a counselor with shift-grab, you had virtually no chance to overall damage, cripple, and kill a counselor. Total imbalance with perks which I'm sure that is how the developers intended to be and not directly affect the core balance of the game. I'm sure it can get much worse with combination of perks amongst a team of seven counselors. Look, we understand F13 is not meant to be played with eight competitive players playing as if it were an actual tournament or the finals play offs to something similar to a superbowl. We know that F13 is mainly made for public game searching, having fun with strangers, and seeing hectic things go afloat that Jason takes advantage of. In public games as counselors you have to worry about team killers (friendly fire), people not knowing the map, players with not much experience / hours, terrible decision makers, lone wolves, language barriers etc. etc. These are all natural pub problems that do NOT EXIST in a competitive environment of a full team of players playing F13 together which is probably what makes it so excruciatingly hard for Jason. Here's the catch, we believe a team of counselors playing properly gives Jason a MUCH more difficult time with the ratio being they TOO OFTEN survive with a few being shift-grabbed killed (if it happens). We think F13 is a VERY FUN and enjoyable game we just wish it was a bit more balanced for the higher level players who like to play games very seriously and competitively. Would some smaller buffs to Jason and some fixes to things we think this game will be AMAZING at a competitive level. Jason could use some buffs or reworks and I hope if any developers read this they may think of possible ideas to implement or something they like here: JASON BUFFS FOR FUTURE: 1.) THROWING KNIVES - They're good for what they are but main downside is sometimes it can be too time consuming to pick one up unless you're just waiting for morph to appear back and there happens to be a knife next to your current location. They also do not have any headshot advantages and sometimes it takes three or more knife tosses to have a counselor enter "cripple" state. - Having a bit less of a collecting animation and recovery. (or add this as a possible perk for a new Jason) - Inflicting more damage. Two throwing knives to the chest area seems reasonable to always put a counselor in cripple state. (or add this as a possible perk for a new Jason) - Add headshot capabilities with throwing knives that will either instant kill a counselor or immediately put them in the cripple state if headshot. (or add this as a possible perk for a new Jason) 2.) TRAPS - Ability to recover or pick up traps (or add this as a possible perk for a new Jason) - Ability to place down a "fake" bait trap with just leaves. These could be set to expire after 30 seconds to a minute or so to prevent abuse. Max of two "fake" traps out at a time. (or add this as a possible perk for a new Jason) - Ability to place traps on the boat dock 3.) TIMER - Add lobby option or ability to increase timer from 20 minutes to 25 minutes or 30 minutes for players that want a bit of a challenge (or add this as a possible perk for a new Jason) 4.) "Ki, ki ki, ma, ma, ma" - Give Jason a new ability to create fog on the map that will make the counselors mini-map on screen freeze temporarily or for him to select an "area" on the map to engulf in fog and the "Ki, ki, ki, ma, ma, ma" sound queus. This would be used as a bait to alert or potential scare / play mindgames with a group of survivors at a part of the map to make them THINK you're there and maybe force them to play defensively WHILE you deal with the current group or have them flee their original plans. In the fog area Jason sounds alert music would be disabled so this would make it ambiguous. Right now, there is NO way to effectively deal with two groups of survivors on a mission, you have to pick and choose your poison and let one of them get away with doing something. This would be a great alternative to add an extra layer or mindgames that counselors would have to think about and buy the bluff or not. That is all for now. Thanks for reading. Back to playing more F13... If any of you are curious or believe "Jason shift-grab is OP and must go", I invite you to PLEASE COME PLAY with my group and we will guarantee after some games you will start to see it is very different when you're up against a group of competitive counselors and not random casuals in public search strictly playing to have some fun. None of us run any perks while playing, we all play the game with vanilla counselor stats and defaults to not skew balance and keep it on even and consistent playing fields. We all play on Steam (PC) and we have a serious group of over ten competitive players pouring hours and hours into this game each day grinding together.

PERKS, MY GOD PERKS!

  15. Hi everyone, I have a question, its still not launched in the dutch (the netherlands, West europe) PSN stores do you guys know maybe when they are launching it?, Because i want to play the game.. -Randy
  16. This should be a time of celebration, not hatered. We finally got a date after all this time and people complain? Because it's not in April? Think about it. It could've been a lot worse! But the Devs did their best. I hope people can just respect the hard work they put into this project.
  17. So during the beta I survived a few times from the match timer and the game automatically ending. But I always felt like this lacked...substance? I think it would a really cool idea if during the last few minutes of the game the sun began to come up and how you survive the match by the timer is surviving until dawn basically. So instead of just boom the match being over the sun would slowly come up and just as it starts to the match ends. What are your guys thoughts on this?
  18. So im one of those people that dont really know about pre-ordering just yet, since i still got some questions that i feel havent got answered. So heres the questions. 1. On the Steam page it says ''Cross-platform'' will this mean i can buy it on PC and my friends on PS4 will be able to play with me? (If that is the case, halleluja.) 2. What will the recommended PC specs for the game most likely be? 3. Do Jason's kills become unlocked as you progress in the game? and are there anything the counselors can unlock?
