    Boat is freakin' HORRIBLE now!!! 5/24/18

    ? I like this game , but, one little toggle Right or Left gets your ass stuck on a rock or worst case -->my last match: me and a poor old newb drowned by Jason. Please, we know the dedication to making it likely that (just like the movies) at best, 2 counselors survive with some stabs and limps, BUT, ironically the rare chance (unless you play 8-10hrs per bloated sitting/gaming) you get to a boat or car undetected then try to escape out of that map,.... Maybe your the last counselor who fought his way past Jason's volleys,, well the last thing you want is movie like STUPIDITY - purposely programmed into the mechanics of the BOAT or car. GUN ! We know "movie teens" in horror movies "twenty somethings" from that genre FILM? are engineered for spectator gawk fetishes.... But my god, we're gamers not sloppy steerers?... Horrible! Siskel and Ebert gave some of the movies of Friday the 13th franchise low depressing scores because of how depressing it was that--> Killer kills, 1 survivor out of a dozen or more. That was a paraphrase. What value is that to a gamer? Whether a player plays to escape, beat up Jason, BOTH , drive around, walk around in a sort of surreal experience that 10% resembles some of these movie recollections (not that it has to come close to movie experience or that you designers are doing a bad job aesthetically -- contrary GREAT JOB AESTHETICALLY!!?). The blueprint and tropes of stupid driver in horror flick is pretty degrading to gamers, not to the movie goer which I am both of these consumers! Well, the feeling one gets from being engulfed by one of their weekly entertainment values by barely escaping or teamworking is good, not great or sub par, it's just good, after a gym workout or work temperatures of 100 degrees where I live; what value does it hold to loose over and over then get the boat and die, due to some patch which made the worst gaming driving or boating experience WORSE?! That's where I start thinking of how valueless it becomes HEARING Siskel and Ebert's criticisms and repeated words depressing, depressing. The people are playing to have fun - generally. They play to be in a "fantasy world" walking around beating up Jason, escaping by run/boat/ car, to be within a few feet from Jason's own breath. And yes, "some of them want to be abused" some play to be the closest to a serial inhuman killer with "magic" powers of appearing out of nowhere (just like the movies) great, it is after all 8 counselors taking up space on a given map within a time frame of 19min and 30 or 45 seconds. Just please fix this boat and car steering. Not that getting stuck unable to interact with any friggin' items and fixtures isn't right out frustrating or inexcusable as well.
  2. I don't know about anyone else but for me this patch has really messed up the game for me, I've never experienced so many bugs since before this update. Every time Jason grabs me and I survive using a pocket knife or a counselor hits me out of his grasp, I cannot interact with any items, doors, windows, weapons Etc. On top of that, Jason has stoped the car and killed me immediately after I stepped out, no invincibility frame. He's also grab me and on other players screens he killed me, but on mine I survived and escaped for the car, but after escaping it showed up that I was dead and I also couldn't view players, view remaining players. So many frequent bugs after this update, I've already reported all these bugs but these past matches on playing is just so frustrating and lame because of all this

Dedicated servers Unknown: 1. New counselor 2. New kill pack 3. New emotes 4. New clothing pack 5. New map did I miss anything? Did I get anything wrong?
  4. So with the inclusion of a new unreal engine update and the team needing to test everything again from original content, to stuff in development. It seems that's pushing back any other new content (Jason X and Grendel more than likely) till atleast after April now the outlets are saying. Suppose on the plus side it's supposedly making dedicated servers for consoles a reality.
  5. I know that decidicated servers are coming soon, but just want to put this out there for possible changes or just an idea. I love Friday The 13th The Game, but there is just one major issue, the quitters. I hate it when you are in a match and are picked as Jason, but never get points. Just when you are about to win, the host just leaves, or maybe you grab somebody, and just to be a jerk, they quit before you can even kill them. This bothers me because I can hardly ever get a 7/7 kill count since people always quit. I have ideas to fix this. 1) Temporary Ban) If there was a temporary ban system it would keep people from leaving every other match. Such as a 1-5 min ban at first, but for repeat offenders an hourly ban may need to happen. 2)Reputation) For those who still feel the need to quit, a reputation system may need to be implimented. For every quit early match that occurs, that person's reputation would go down. Depending on your rep, you are suited with games with other players of that reputation. E.g) Player doesn't leave any matches = 100% rep and are matched with 80-100% rep players, players with moderate quit early matches =50-70% quit early players, constant offenders = 0% rep players. This will be sure to prevent people from leaving in-gmae matches since they don't like the taste of their own medicine. (Rep will go back up in intervals of 10 after a ceratain time period) 3) In-Game Xp) If all else fails, why not collect Xp during the match. For whatever Xp you earn, it immediately counts towards your level progression, and at the end of the match, it tallys up your Xp just to tell you what you have earned in the match. Sort of like an overview of what happened with the match Xp. Like I mentioned, Dedicated Servers are coming, which is great. However, i'm not sure if it is going to cover those in-game not going to get a kill from me players. . .(also I didn't account for people who disconnect on accident)
  6. Okay right so now that the new patch is out regardless of your opinion of it, is there any way to help make Ps4 users stay? I am consistently just seeing people insta leave if not Jason twice as much now. Most of my games have only like 4 vs Jason so like its really not fair anymore. (6 or 7 with new patch if I get that many now feels fair, although I miss my wrenches). Once again does anyone know of a way to solve this or whether it will be solved? Just because otherwise the game will die for me and that sucks as I really enjoy this game, just sick and tired of rarely ever getting full/ish matches.

  10. While we wait for the next patch, i have been contemplating what the next patch will bring. Will it be just a bug and balance patch or will it be a mix of bug/balance and new content? Either way i don't have high expectations considering the track record that has been set. As i have mentioned before i am honestly expecting to have a repeat of what happened with an expected patch in Nov to be told at last minute that we will not be getting one until Dec. I can honestly see us getting an announcement on Jan 30th or Jan 31st telling us there will be no patch for Jan (Real good timely notice) and will have to wait until Feb. I have been thinking as to what else could possibly get worse for Jason with the next patch? Since Randy said on his stream that Jason is just fine and counselors have gotten better leads me to believe that it is just going to get worse for ole J. So i am gonna list some things i think could be implemented to tip the power even more in the corner of the counselors and castrate Jason even more. 1. Longer cool downs for all Jason's abilities 2. Jason can no longer grab counselors but counselors can now throw pocket knives at jason which stun him for 5-7 secs (don't worry guys, it was a glitch. we will fix it "soon") 3. Jason cannot place traps around any repair items such as the car, boat or fuse box 4. Counselors can de-mask Jason in 1 hit no matter with what. )Yes even a pot) 5. Jason's sense ability can only sense counselors within a 3 foot radius 6. If Jason goes to slash a counselor near a cabin/car/tree and it hits those objects Jason is stuck for 10 secs in an animation where he has to dislodge the weapon from the object 7. Stalk stops working after 2 uses. I know these are outlandish and extreme but hey, going by the dev's attitude and the track record of Jason's nerfs anything is possible. what would you add to this list
  11. Curious to see when everyone thinks the next patch will drop and when they will tell us about it. I think that either on Jan 30th or 31st we will have a post update telling us there will not be an update this month and maybe some vague information about stuff but that is about it. i honestly think the next patch won't arrive until mid to late Feb. I think the sp challenges demo might show up with the next patch but most likely will get delayed, and we won't hear anything about dedicated servers either. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the next update was solely a balance/bug fix patch and no new content will be included with it. I think we will see new content either in march or latest April. What do you all think?

  13. I have played for ages and was mostly always good at stopping the car in either direction. Since the patch, I've had a much more difficult time stopping the car with shift. Often times I'm doing what I used to and it's just not stopping. (I have only been experiencing this the last few days). Has anyone else noticed this?
  14. I know it was a pretty odd kill, but it was pretty cool and brutal. However, somewhere down the line, it seems like the kill was removed and now Jason just does the fireplace kill now whenever you take a counselor to a campfire. Any reason why the change was made or is there some other method to do the Marshmallow Stick kill now?
  15. Right I am usually Al for anything we get I love the game despite the bugs and enjoy it a lot. But now I know we got a lot but only 2 new generic grab kills is a bit meh, I though atleast 1 per Jason would have been added, that I'm not so salty about though they want money for kills fine. But WHERE is the Jason skins and counselor clothing too? Now it did distinctly say on the post for lvl150 that we were getting Jason skins and clothing even if they were just the bloody skins and one or 2 new colours shaders for existing clothes, but nothing? I'm just a bit upset, don't believe me check my other posts I'm always sticking up for these guys but now not so much
  16. I had a question for anyone in the know (most likely @[IllFonic]Courier): According to the Shack Notes on the official website, the UE4 version was "weeks away" from being updated. With that update was to (hopefully) be improvements to various areas (especially vehicle physics) as well as performance in general. Has the newest version to the UE4 engine been integrated, what sort of improvements have been made (better fps stability, solved crash instances, fixes for various window situations, improved vehicle physics...), and will all of this be part of the next title update (patch)?

  19. Tonight I saw Jason die 2 times in one night, including a case where the counselors were hunting down a fleeing Jason. Have a look: Not exactly like the movies, is it? How am I supposed to be fear Jason when he is this weak? Another Jason saw me with the sweater and ran! The counselors are now over powered and Jason must be reverted, both grab and traps, or he must otherwise be made more powerful to bring the correct balance back to the game.
  20. 10.25.17 PATCH FEEDBACK: A Now-Broken, Counselor-Favored Mess That We Must Fix Intro As a person who has over 400 Hrs. in this game and has played it from launch, I have genuinely enjoyed this game, and want it to stay that way. We have a problem; The number and severity of complaints coming from the preferred-counselors is causing Jason to be weakened such that the game is breaking. The movies feature 1-2 survivors per movie and the game should average that. An F13 game that cares enough about the movies to base the levels on blueprints of buildings from the sets would be remiss to neglect on kill count similarity. Survival should be earned and valued. There are too many others, however, who just want counselor survival to be too easy, and in doing so, are not only defeating the purpose of the game (survival horror), but are breaking it and creating an environment where they themselves (human nature) will soon become bored and leave it all together as there will be no challenge left for them. This cannot be allowed to happen. We must push back against this, especially we preferred-Jason's, as this is becoming a pattern that is genuinely ruining the enjoyment of the game for too many preferred-Jasons. First it was - Jason can no longer block flare guns and firecrackers (Shotguns and bear traps I can understand) Then it was - Jason can no longer use combat stance on doors without issue as there is now a hit-detection issue with doors that is still present and has been since the small maps patch where Jason hits the top of the threshold to no effect on the door. (Using the standard animation forces Jason to leave himself vulnerable to a stun once the door breaks) Now it's - Traps are useless as they can be beaten with a single pocket knife, and can no longer alert Jason as multiple traps is not an option, counselors know where everything is located except for spawn, and Jason gets NO buffs to compensate for any of this. Jason is being made weaker and weaker and it absolutely must stop. Sometimes I think that these incessant nerfs are trial balloons being sent just to see how much we Jasons will take before there's push back; Well I'm there. Before donning your hockey mask and performing the Head Punch on me, please hear me out as I come with solutions to many of the problems I am seeing in a game I am enjoying less over time, but really want to stay in love with. Again, let's keep it civil so this thread doesn't get closed. 1. Counselors leaving/suiciding not FULLY solved yet Giving Jason credit at the beginning of the kill is a step in the right direction, but it's not enough: A. Counselors can and still do leave when being grabbed but BEFORE execution, and even when being simply pursued. Evidence: 1. Quitting During Grab 2. Quitting Before Grab During Slash (Ignore Podcast Audio) B. Counselors jump out of second story windows to suicide and cost Jason the kill. C. Counselors repeatedly cross broken glass windows to suicide and cost Jason the kill. Suggested Possible Solution(s): 1. Give Jason credit for a kill if/when someone leaves the match while Jason is within Music range, irrespective of stalk silence, grab or execution. 2. Make it so jumping out of second story windows and climbing over broken window ledges reduces your health, even to the minimum, but it will not kill you, making so that those who try to suicide are merely gimping themselves and making themselves easy prey. 3. Program the "Leave Match" option with an irreversible 20-second countdown timer where the counselor can no longer move, allowing Jason to finish killing the counselor if a person tries to quit. 4. Tag counselors with a 30 minute cool down for leaving a match with Jason within Music range. Increase the cooldown by 30 minutes for each subsequent quit within a 1 week period for a maximum for 24 hours of cool down if need be. 2. Trap Radius Renders Jason Traps Almost Useless A. Jason can no longer properly protect objectives or receive alerts. This works in synergy with visible items to make Jason's job too much harder without any compensating buff for Jason. Have a look: Trap Issues Suggested Possible Solution(s): Restore previous trap function. Simple as that. 3. Grab Distance Was Problematic Enough with Lag Issues A. Period. As it was, skilled counselors were able to stay out of the range of both weapon slashes (Dear everyone, stop complaining about slashing, period.) and grabs. Skilled counselors could kite a Jason for days as it was. Bad ping and connection issues naturally nurf grab as it is. I've missed counselors after two and three grab attempts if the ping is high enough. Suggested Possible Solution(s): Reset full grab distance, at least until dedicated servers are in place. 4. Change Item Visibility on Maps A. This is far too powerful and easy as it is. Even as a counselor I feel as though I am cheating, and I've noticed myself and others being far more reckless than before and still surviving. The first match, we got both cars started very quickly and everyone escaped. The match even ended when I spawned back in as Tommy because there was no one to save. This was a private match, the Jason was frustrated, and we didn't blame him. Consider doing one or a combination of the following. Suggested Possible Solution(s): 1. Getting rid of it all together, thus forcing counselors to communicate as before. Don't rage, it's makes the game much more immersive. 2. Counselors with fear level below X amount can see items on their minimap and/or large map however, as fear increases, items further from the counselor either begin to fade away and/or disappear all together as the counselor loses track as he/she panics more. Item visibility comes back somewhat if fear is decreased. This would make Composure and related perks more relevant. 3. Only counselors with walkie talkies can see items (simulates communication). Can be used in conjunction with #2 where fear screws with visibility even with walkie talkie. Jarvis would naturally be able to see all items from the start as he spawns with a walkie and no fear. 4. Tommy Jarvis is the only person who can see all of the items while no one else can, by virtue of the fact that he is Tommy Jarvis. Limiting this ability to him only would enhance his status as a "Hero" class. Can be used in conjunction with #2 where fear screws with his item visibility. 5. Only items spawning back into the match from counselors who have left are visible. 6. Only items that haven't been picked up in 60 seconds or longer are visible. (Prevents trolls from hiding items) 5. Un Movie-Like Counselor Cockiness/Carelessness especially near Police exit. A. Counselors do not fear Jason like they do in the movies and even engage in a tactic called "bullying" where counselors can gang up and stun Jason in a chain. This cockiness is especially bad near the police exit where everyone decides they want to use up all of their guns, flare guns, and pocket knives on Jason for EXP. This is when Jason then becomes the punching bag as counselors get away anyway. Suggested Possible Solution(s): 1. When Jason is knocked on his back, allow him to build rage faster based on how many counselors are standing within 10 feet of his body, the more, the faster. Instead of tea bagging, counselors will want to stay away from Jason as they would in the movies. Jason would get pissed if he was being taunted. 2. When the police arrive, Jason gets Rage if he doesn't have it already. Jason would get pissed by police arrival. 3. In Rage, increase stun resistance and reduce stun time by a sensible percentage. 4. When Jason is knocked on his back, make it so there is a %chance (based on proximity to rage) he can quickly reach up and strangle-execute a counselor standing above him. Counselors will want to stay away from Jason as they would in the movies. 5. When Jason is stunned, make it so there is a %chance (based on proximity to rage) he can reach and grab a counselor standing near him, only to have the counselor in hand where normal rules apply. Counselors will want to stay away from Jason as they would in the movies. 6. As counselors build fear, their pocket knives have less of a chance to fire when being grabbed by Jason. This will stop counselors from letting Jason grab them near the police or for free EXP. 7. Bring back a modified, LIMITED, friendly-fire mechanic, for ONLY when Jason is nearby. (Hear me out). When Jason is within 20 feet, counselors can accidentally damage each other with weapons and must now be more careful when hitting Jason back-to-back as opposed to all at once. This will also bring back the need to aim carefully when shooting Jason if Jason is holding a counselor. The 20 feet proximity requirement is meant to protect counselors from team killing since there is no reason to be swinging a weapon if Jason isn't nearby. For those who are worried that this would be exploited for team killing,... it would require that someone work with Jason, which is a ban-able offense anyway; Record, report, ban. 6. Fast Paced Maps (Fast for everyone except Jason) A. 40% Smaller means faster objective completion for counselors. While there is less space for Jason to hunt players, there is less he can do about the faster objectives as abilities build at the same rate. It's not balanced for Jason. Suggested Possible Solution(s): Reduce the amount of time Jason's abilities are gained to compensate for this. I recommend by 10%-40% depending upon what would be most balanced according to an objective analysis, not whatever easy-button preferred-counselors want. Above all else, stop making Jason weaker. Know that for every counselor buff, there must be an equal and opposite Jason buff. This last patch is a doozie where counselors are stronger while Jason is weaker.

  24. Anyone else notice hitting Jason has become less useful since the new patch? I usually run Chad with an epic sucker punch perk, and I had no trouble stunning Jason before. Since the new patch, I've given him a couple whacks with Chad and Tommy with good stun weapons like the axe, wrench, and baseball bat, and it doesn't phase him. He isn't in combat stance either. Is it just me?

Just so we don't have 1000 duplicate new posts about every single bug, let's create one thread that lists all the bugs we have found(that can be verified) so it's easy for us and the devs to reference. Start listing them and I will update the thread as bugs are reported. 8/27/2017 Patch ACTIVE: - On Packanack small, the two middle rooms on the second floor have a door that is hidden in the wall. It can be opened and closed but it shows as just a plain wall instead of a door. - On Higgins Haven Small, their is a a shotgun which can not be picked up in the south end of the map in the new archery range. It shows as flashing but the player can not interact with it. - Items are currently not spawning correctly - Badges disappearing on PS4 and not updating(To fix this hard reset your console. Hold the power button down for 10 seconds and then turn it back on.) This is still a bug even though their is a work around since it is not functioning as intended. - Using Combat Stance on doors is inconsistent. Sometimes it registers the hits and sometimes it doesn't. - Tommy Jarvis will spawn in on the map as an NPC even though the player selected to control him left the game. - Bugzy, Adam and Lachappa still have Kenny's voice lines - Jason's animation sometimes breaks when attacking a door, power generator, or window. - Jason is able to kill counselors with a window throw before the counselor can use a pocket knife on him - Wood damage state art asset is displaying the name of what the texture is - Jason can still take damaged when stunned causing him to stay stunned as long as someone keeps hitting him. NEED MORE INFO/VERIFICATION/ONE TIME BUGS - Sense is inconsistent/might be bugged. (Needs further testing/more reports) - Car teleporting after starting (Need to see if it is every time or just a random bug) - Quickplay is still bugged on PS4(I am getting mixed reports where some say it works and others are having issues hence why it is in this area and not as active) FIXED: - PS4 users are experiencing server issues
