Since the new spring break update, the controls for when playing as a counselor feels wierd. Like for example when i start jogging sometimes the movement of the animation would feel more delayed or would stop mid jog. This is for the ps4. Has anyone else had this or just me?
The movement in Friday the 13th is a little clunky. I've played with gamers who use the movement flaws to their advantage and escape certain situations in unrealistic ways. This can become frustrating if you're Jason and you spend more than needed warping to a counselor and not being able to catch them because they're moving around radically. Maybe implementing better movement mechanics that cause counselors to change movement direction in a more realistic manner. For example if you are running away from Jason and decide to do a complete 180 turn, there should be a stop and slide animation or slowing down before you can change directions that quickly. Or maybe peanalizing players for changing direction so quickly by making them stumble. These suggestions should allow players to stray away from exploits and use smarter tatics to avoid Jason. Rather than just running around erratically. I think this will also add some depth into the gameplay and allow developers to create more chances for those cherished cinematic moments we all look forward to when playing.
I apologize if this has been talked about before, but I couldn't find anything. The small rocks and hills need to be reworked as to allow both counselors and Jason to simply walk over them, plain and simple. I can't say how many times I'm running away from Jason and my character just stops going forward, I look down and notice there's a tiny rock blocking me or I'm going up or down a hill and there's an invisible wall, so I either get killed because of it or he gains on me with less stamina at my disposal because I had to go back TOWARDS Jason just to go around said rock or hill. It's even more relevant when he's been chasing me for awhile and I'm low on stamina with limited vision because of fear. It's also annoying as Jason but not as much considering he can see perfectly and has infinite stamina. It is however really annoying when you're using shift and you get caught on every bump and pebble.
