  5. So I can't exactly remember where, but either on the F13 game website or one of the loading screens in-game, there's a sentence along the lines of "Having difficulty escaping Jason? Unlock the priest in the graveyard by finding the secret Pamela (or tommy but I think Pamela) tapes" Anyone have any info on this? I've scoured the internet with no avail. Maybe they removed the feature? Haven't seen it on a loading screen in a while either and I can't find it on the game site anywhere or in the forums
  6. Ok, so, I have been a very avid customer I donated alot of money back on the backer kit, close to 215$. I purchased the counselor clothing pack, and savini Jason, even bought a few extra and did a giveaway. i even bought and gave PSN cards to friends just so they could get this beautiful game I've been waiting my whole life for. All around I've given this franchise close to 500$. I got my savini and clothing codes for Playstation, unfortunately I was banned from PSN with my account being hacked and used for whatever nasty stuff the hacker used it for and PSN aren't doing anything about it. I ended up buying an Xbox after weeks of nothing from PSN. I was excited to jump back into your beautiful game even without my save data and friends. After rebuying the game I decided to also rebuy all the dlc too then realizing my beloved savini jason and clothing pack weren't here, it hit me like a ton of bricks. One of my prized possessions were stuck on a hacked banned account....my slasher backer and Kickstarter account used to buy and donate this money was used with this email address. so I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find out I'm not lying just to get a code out of the amazing developers. I've been a fan of f13 my entire life and put so much money down on this. I am begging you please for Christmas or for the fact I was screwed by PSN or for the fact I have given a load of money to this franchise please. I only ask for one Xbox savini Jason code please I can forward emails from backer kit and gun media itself confirming I did donate and purchase these items please I'm begging you guys.
  7. When playing F13 I noticed my game lagged due to a terrible pc and internet, While lagging, I try to play and when I do that it runs behind so the camera is stuck in a position looking at the trees. I am still able to run around but not see where I am going, Please contact me with a fix IF you can.
  8. I know it was a pretty odd kill, but it was pretty cool and brutal. However, somewhere down the line, it seems like the kill was removed and now Jason just does the fireplace kill now whenever you take a counselor to a campfire. Any reason why the change was made or is there some other method to do the Marshmallow Stick kill now?
  9. Right out of the gate... SPOILER WARNING!!! I wanted to create a walkthrough, from beginning to end, for the new Virtual Cabin 2.0. This decision came through because, through streaming, I found people didn't know where to go or what to do, so I thought I would explain it. I hope this helps! You load into the Virtual Cabin 1.0 beta. In here you can look around at a large majority of the props and just explore. Your main goal is to solve the Word Guess Puzzles, on the back of all the news papers, and magazines. You can find 4 news papers and 2 magazines: Newspaper - Downstairs, next to the couch, on end stand Newspaper - Downstairs, on the kitchen counter Newspaper - Upstairs, on the end stand by the couch/TV Newspaper - Upstairs, in the "weapons room" on Tommy Jarvis desk Magazine - Downstairs, next to the computer Magazine - Downstairs, on the coffee table by the fire place. Word Guess Puzzle Solution: Word Guess: Week 1 "Furry friend with a purple bow" My Guess: MUFFIN Highlighted Letter: "M" Reasoning: Muffin is the dog from part 2 Word Guess: Week 2 "Cured meat and famous counselor" My Guess: BACON Highlighted Letter: "O" Reasoning: Kevin Bacon was in the first movie. Word Guess: Week 3 "Movies featuring T.J." My Guess: THREE Highlighted Letter: "T" Reasoning: Tommy Jarvis appears in 3 movies - parts 4, 5, & 6. Word Guess: Week 4 "Original Mask Owner" My Guess: SHELLY Highlighted Letter: "H" Reasoning: Sheldon “Shelly” Finkelstein had the hockey mask in part 3 before Jason killed him and took it. Word Guess: Week 5 "Most films in mask" My Guess: FIVE (Second Guess: Kane) Highlighted Letter: "E" Reasoning: He didn’t dawn the mask until part III, and Jason wasn’t officially in part V. So he had the mask for 3, 4, 6, 7, 8. We stop counting with Jason X and on. (Second Reasoning: Kane Hodder played Jason more times than any other actor. He spent the most time in the mask.) Word Guess: Week 6 "Doomed Ocean Liner My Guess: LAZARUS Highlighted Letter: "R" Reasoning: This is the ship that took out students of Lakeview High School, bound of New York, in Part VIII Final Word: MOTHER Put this into the computer by the door, in any code section, to unlock more features. After you put this in, you unlock Virtual Cabin 1.1, with update features and options. You now have access to the basement, the "Red Door Room", Collectibles, an inventory, crouching, and restored telephone functionality. With this newly gained power, we need to start collecting thing to unlock badges, to put into the frame, on the kitchen wall. First, I recommend looking around at the newly accessed rooms, and make sure you have your barrings. When you're done dicking around there are 4 badges, there for four puzzles. There is the Pedestal Puzzle, the Mask Puzzle, the Diorama Puzzle, and the Blue Phone Number Puzzle. Pedestal Puzzle Solution: The pedestals are numbered (to the 12 days of Christmas song) from 1 to 4. Each item is a prop from films 1 to 4. 1. Pedestal One - Green Pear: Red Bandanna Location of Item: Downstairs, last room on the right (Bathroom). On the back of the toilet. Location of pedestal: Downstairs, first room on the right (Red door room). To the left of the red door. 2. Two Blue Birds: Police Badge Location of Item: Downstairs, first room on the right (Red door room). On the table, to the right of the red door. Location of pedestal: Upstairs, last room on the left (Kids room) 3. Three Chicks: Blue Yo-yo Location of Item: Upstairs, last room on the left. (Kids room) Open the wardrobe, it in the box on the shelf. Location of pedestal: Upstairs, first room on the right (Weapons room). 4. Four Birds Chirping: Blue Hat Location of Item: Downstairs, on the hat rack (Living room). Next to the front door. Location of pedestal: Downstairs, very back room (Exit room). Behind the door. Just place the items on the pedestal and the badge should pop out of a drawer, on the last placed items, pedestal. Mask Puzzle Solution: You need to find a few masks: Downstairs, first door on the right (Red Door). Behind, and to the right of, the door is a few boxes and one is open. (Mask 1) Downstairs, to the right of where you spawn in (Living room). Inside the fireplace. (Mask 7) Upstairs, last door on the left (Kids Room). Crouch inside the tent and the mask is in a wooden box. (Mask 5) Put them in order from part 3 to part 9 (7 masks all together). After you have them all in order, remove the part 5. Order is as follows: ***Damage is explained as if you’re wearing the mask*** 1. Clean mask, with the red markings still intact. (part III) 2. Has a busted left side (top) and the blood still fresh on the mask. (Part IV) 3. Clean mask, with blue markings. (Part V) 4. Dirty mask with chop taken out of the left side (top). (Part VI) 5. Waterlogged mask with the red marking now brownish black. Chop taken out of left side (top), and a missing lower section on the left. (Part VII) 6. Slightly cleaner mask, with red markings, that make it look closer to the first mask. It’s more dingy, and has a small chop taken out of the top left. (Part VIII) 7. Most destroyed mask, with a chop taken out of the left (top), a missing lower section (left), and a chop taken out of the right opening the right eye. Make sure, after you place them all, you remove the 3rd mask in, the one with blue markings, to activate the drawer to the right. It will grant you the second badge, for the plaque in the kitchen. ***My theory here is, you remove this mask because in part 5, Jason wasn’t really the killer. The killer was Roy Burns, who was trying to get revenge for his son who was killed with an axe. Diorama puzzle Solution: This puzzle is by far the easiest. First, you’ll have to find the missing diorama figure. The Chris figure is in the bathroom (with Jenny), in a box next to the toilet. I recommend just going to the diorama's and picking up all the figures, so you can quickly place things. Also, these figures are place from left to right. Voorhees House diorama (Living Room) Jessica, Jason (without machete), Steven. Higgins Haven Barn Diorama (Red Door Room, Downstairs) Ali, Jason (with machete), Chris Blue Phone Number Puzzle Solution: Items with numbers (in order): 1. Script Location: Downstairs, first room on the right (Red door room). To the left of the red door, on the desk. The number is located on the bottom right of the script located closes to the edge of the desk Number: 1 2. Potato Sack Location: In the kitchen, in a cabinet, under the microwave Number 5 3. 3D Glasses Location: In a drawer, in the kitchen, right next to the garbage can. Number: 0005 (5) 4. Forest County Sign Location: Upstairs, on the wall, opposite the TV, behind a lamp Number: 4 5. Starlacon: A New Beginning Book Location: On the bookstand, next to the couch (Living room). Number: 3rd Edition (3) 6. Moonshine Location: Under the sink, in the kitchen Number: “Bottled March 7th” (7) 7. Matches Location: Drawer, in the kitchen, next to the cabinet with moonshine in it. Number: There are two matches. (2) 8. New York Picture Location: Upstairs, at the end of the hallway, on the right. Number: #009 (9) 9. Inferno Lake Book Location: Downstairs, on the bookshelf, to the left of the fireplace. Number: This one was the hardest. It pertained to the part 9 movie I chose Chapter 2. (2) This was as far as we got before someone in the F13 forum community cracked the code. The theory could be that you move the Moonshine number (7) to the end, because of the X on the bottle (referring to Jason X) and then double it. I’m not sure where the other 5 comes in or why 3 and 4 got swapped. I’ll try to update as more information comes out. Fantastic job to the hard working minds here on the f13 forums! <3 When it’s all put together you get: 1 (555) 342-9277 Each digit corresponds to a movie item in the cabin. I found the movie items and the unique number placed on each. The phone number is the movies in chronological order. (I hope to update as an actual solution is found) Once you get the phone number, I highly suggest before putting it in, testing out a few other numbers.. Numbers to call: You'll have to call most of these several times, to hear Jason at play 911 Crystal Lake Police Department: 1 (555) 555- 0618 SS Lazarus (Free Cruise): 1 (555) SEA-2NYC Pinehurst Diner: 1 (555) 689-2344 Unger Institute of Mental Health: 1 (555) 713-1979 Tapes: These don't really do anything, to my knowledge. I thought they could correspond to the final phone number to get the last badge but I couldn't prove it. I will update if we have further information. ***Update*** The time in the tapes, match an actual scene in the real films. In those films, you'll see Jimbo's hat, a cops badge, a yo-yo, and a bandanna, if you pause it at the corresponding time. Times posted below for those that are curious. 1. Slasher Vol. 1: Summer Camp (00:15:51) Location: Upstairs, first door on the right (Weapon Room). On the pedestal, next to Tommy Jarvis’s Desk. 2. A Long Night at Camp Blood: Part II (00:24:19) Location: Upstairs, on the coffee table, in front of the couch. 3. Star Mummy III: Dead Heir (00:34:44) Location: Downstairs, to the right of the fireplace (Living room). You have to open the drawer, to the desk with the vase on it. 4. Roy’s Revenge: Part IV The Return of Reckless Reggie (00:45:18) Location: Upstairs, under the TV, on the TV stand. Radio Locations: You can listen to all of these, at this point, except the last one, as it's out on the dock. More on that soon. Behind the couch (Living room). Sitting on the desk behind the couch. On the left (Red door room). Sitting on a chair, on the left, as you enter the room. Back room (Exit Room). On the desk, next to the exit door (the door that’s still locked). On the left, at the bottom of the stairs (Basement). On a desk, with a bloody newspaper, as you get down the stairs. (access after you get to the basement) On the dock (Outside). Sitting on a box, with a lantern. (access once you get outside) Finally, once you put in the number, from the puzzle - 1 (555) 342-9277 - (...and you're done playing around), you'll get a creepy message from Pamela, and then the final patch. Make you're way to the kitchen to insert the four badges into the plaque, across form the model of Deborah Kim. This will unlock a hidden door, and give you access to the basement. In here you can view all the Jason character models, in the game. But two of the display cases have sheets over them, you ask? Don't fret, we'll get to that. There should be a phone ringing, in the back left corner of the room. Once you're done gazing at the models and reading the information, Answer the phone. This will give you another creepy message form Pamela, and will bring you to the end of the first major section of the Virtual Cabin! "You still with me?" With the completion of the Virtual Cabin, you'll be returned to the main screen. Just click on Offline again, and head back in. This will load you into Virtual Cabin 1.3 - New Game Plus. You're welcome to explore but the key area you want to go is the basement. Upon going to the basement, nothing has changed. No sheets removed, nothing unlocked, nothing. After some community work, and several of us chatting about what to do, we ended up back at the Computer, by the front door. We figured out that if we changed the date, you can get some interesting results. I encourage you to change the dates, to see what happens for yourself, before inputting the date June 13th, 1979. That is the date of the first events of the first film. This will cause a phone to ring. The phone in the basement. Muster your courage, and make your way to the phone. Upon answering it, you get a creepy message from Pamela. You hear glass shatter behind you, and the light cutout. when you regain control, inspect the power box to the right of the phone. You'll discover an axe has been gingerly slammed through the connecting wires, cutting the power. JASON IS ALIVE, and on the move! You'll hear footsteps moving up the stairs, so follow them! (He will leave a collection of bodies behind him, so you can check them as you go, or save them for after you have access to the outside area.) Here you'll be playing follow the leader. As you head upstairs and progress back towards the front door, you see Jason walk by. It looks like he's going up stairs! Follow him upstairs, and say hello to Chad (He's a dick/dead). There should be some commotion downstairs, somehow, so go check it out. It should be coming from the room that housed Tiffany and Kenny's "snuggle" session. You'll find that Tiffany didn't quite make it, but where is Kenny? If you enter the room, and close the door, you'll find him pinned to the back of it. He also has a key around his neck. You should have also heard the front door being broken down, as Jason makes his exit. With the key in hand, follow the hulking monster. Crouch through the doorway, to freedom. Before going too far, let's use that key. As you exit, turn right and head to the shed up the path. Use the key on the padlock, and grab the shovel from inside. This item will help you get two of the three badges needed to escape Camp Crystal Lake. This is a good time to explore. Go check out all the new character models by the fire, by the tent, and down by the dock. also, you can check out the graveyard, and Jason's cabin. I recommend staying away from the woods - it's marked with a red warning sign - as you will die, if you stray. You should notice a glass case, housing a gas can, down by the beach/dock. You should also notice that there is another plaque with three badge slots. After you're done, regroup by the fire, right outside the cabin. There are 3 badges, therefor three puzzles. You have the Radio/Mother's Return Puzzle, the Resurrection Puzzle, and the Woods Puzzle. Radio/Mother's Return Puzzle (Outside): The radio holds the key to unlocking one of the three badges outside, if you know where to look. If you leave the cabin and go right, you’ll see a radio on top of a pile of dirt. You can manipulate the dial to access different radio stations. If you head down the path further, you’ll find a graveyard on the right, and see Jason’s cabin, up the path in the distance. Just past the graveyard, there is a light shining on a downed sign. The sign is pointing to the clue. There are ten rocks, offset, with a sick between the 8th and 9th rock (closer to the 8th rock). Translate this to the radio, and you’ll find there is a code being “beeped” out for you. Morse code: 5312 Use the code from the Radio Puzzle on the fridge lock. The fridge is located in front of the car, outside the cabin. Turn left, after exiting the cabin, and left again at the car to find the fridge. Up against the house. You’ll find Jason’s mom, Pamela’s, severed head in the fridge. Not a big deal! Put that shit in your pocket and make your way up the path to Jason’s cabin. It’s passed the woods and graveyard. Once you’re in, drop it on the table, and pick up that sweet badge! Graveyard Puzzle (Outside): This one is easy. Make your way into the graveyard, with the shovel in hand, and locate Jason's grave. Use the shovel to dig up Jason, then look to the right side of the grave (it was behind me, in my play), and you’ll find a piece of a fence. Open the casket and impale Jason with this to uncover the second badge! Woods Puzzle (Outside): This is a puzzle of precision. First off, you’ll need the shovel. With the shovel and head to the woods area, just up the path, on the left, before Jason’s cabin. When you enter, keep in mind to stay on track and be quick. When you enter, you should see a machete on the ground, with a healthy amount of blood. Naturally, we will follow the blood trail in the direction the machete is pointing. Next you should find a heart, with a few initials carved in it, in a tree. Follow the arrow, going through the heart, to the next spot. The arrow should lead you to an actual arrow stuck in a tree. Who shot this arrow? To find out, head in the direction the arrow came from. This will lead you to a trio of ducks. Where are they going? Lead the pack, and swiftly move in the direction they point. This will lead you to a pile of dirt at the base of a tree. Use that shovel to dig up the final badge for the outside area! Now that you have all the badges, you can head back to the dock! On the way, make sure to check out all the character models, as everyone has died and has updated information. Once you're done checking it all out, put the badges in the plaque. Grab the gas, fill up the boat, and enjoy your ride to "freedom". You should be met with a "Completed the Virtual Cabin, Again" screen, prompting you to return to the main menu. Click on Offline and head back into the Virtual Cabin. This will load you into the Virtual Cabin 1.6 - New Game Plus Plus. It also informs us that it's launching the VirtualCabinDebug.exe program. When you load in, I encourage you to look around. The basement has uncovered a new character model, Young Jason! When you're done exploring, head back out to the docks. Remember that radio sitting on that box out there? Give it another listen? The dev describes a situation with the games development that doesn't seem to go quite right. He adds that they access an override menu by using a code all gamers know. Everyone know that's the Konami code. It might take you a few times to input it properly, as you have to be quick and precise, but enter: Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, circle (B), X (A) This will unlock the “debug interface”. Here you can check out the frames per second, reload the level, mess with map collision, and show map collision. Nothing else matters here other than swapping the Map Collision to “unknownError” and toggling Show Collision to “ON”. This will highlight every edge of all the basic structures and unlock a door. Make your way to The Red Door room. It's downstairs in the cabin, first door on the right. You should notice some weirdness going on with the door. Popping in and out of being textured. Head on in and you’ll find yourself in an untextured room. Once in, you’ll notice a lot of blood, and a table that holds a radio. Interact with the radio and listen. When the dialogue is done, turn around and grab the floating bugged badge. Then turn another 180 to find another floating icon. Walk into it, and experience the glitch of a lifetime. The game will bug out and start loading again. It’ll drop you into Virtual Cabin 1.7, warning you it’s an unstable build. It starts you upstairs. Just follow the badges through the house, and don’t worry about Chuck, until you get to the basement. Here you have to find three more camp patches. Good thing all the “prop” Jason models have had their glass cases broken around them and have their hand extended. Just walk up and snag the final three badges. One of the Jason’s will choke you out, but don’t worry; nothing in the cabin is real. When you regain control, you’ll see more badges. Follow them back upstairs to the “Coming Soon” door. A small scene should play out and you should be able to view an item on the floor, of where you spawn, and a computer, in a connecting room. Access a switch to open the final door and enjoy the show. After you get the final scene, you can load back into the Virtual Cabin 2.0, where you have the ability to check out the character model for the Uber Jason, and you can walk straight through the "Coming Soon" door. Feel free to explore, as you now have everything unlock, but i still recommend staying away from the woods... I hope this helped you experience everything that the Virtual Cabin 2.0 had to offer. I'm also going to drop my lets play here so you can see this, step by step, yourself. the_real_Nightswarm on Twitch If you like this and want to keep up with me on the daily you can check me out on twitch.tvthe_real_Nightswarm! 11. Hi all, can't hear any player talking but when I talk they can hear me. I tried reinstalling, verifying cache, all my windows sound settings are fine and steam sound settings are fine. Tried it with 3 different audio outputs one at a time. Weird because I can hear game sound just not players voices. Google has nothing on it so hopefully someone here can help:) Had this issue since getting the game
  12. To anyone here who is still new to the game, and wants to know how to fix the Fatal Error on the beginning of the introduction to the game, make sure you install everything in the folders around for the game, even the error of launching the game. No need for you to change your Administration, into a Standard user, because it has nothing to do with the type of user, just follow the steps given, and I hope this works for you. Here are the steps of what you need to do: Make sure to Install Easy Anti-Cheat for Friday The 13th Game for the launching of the game - Go to where you installed Steam folder. - On the steam folder, go to steamapps folder, then go to common folder, and go to F13Game folder. - Go to EasyAnti-Cheat and install the setup. Make sure you install the UE4, so that you would not get a Fatal Error for the Online Session Interface - Go to Steam Folder. - Go to steamapps folder. - Go to common folder. - Go to F13Game folder. - Go to Engine folder. - Go to Extras, and open the Redist folder, and then en-usa folder. - Install the Setup of UE4. If there is anything else missing or an error that need to be fixed, do let me know and I will add it down for ya.
  13. Hey I’m new to the game, playing on Xbox so if there’s anyone who wannna help me learn or is also new to the game give me a shout

  15. Hello everyone, I'm Brazilian and I face many problems when trying to play this game, I only find servers hosted by other Brazilians and the quality is horrible! Before it was not like that, when I bought the game in the pre-sale I fell into dedicated and non-hosted servers, after some updates I have only fallen on hosted servers that almost always give black screen and does not start the game! Can someone tell me a way to fall into gringo server? GRATEFUL!!!!
  16. is sacrificing a pocket knife the only way to deactivate a trap? I feel like they should make it so you don't need a pocket knife to deactivate a trap especially when you have those jason's who put 2 traps at the phone fuse, and a trap at each of the cars making it almost impossible to escape.
  17. Hi everyone, I'm bothered with something in the game that should be added from the beginning, I mean not having the option to report players what makes the game a land without law, I also suggest that you put banishment to prevent players from going crazy during the match or when Jason is performing an execution, in addition to Jason losing points and number of deaths leaves the game boring and with few players, give m a time ban for example: dropped once (15 minutes), second time ( 30 minutes) third time (1 hour) and so on I further strongly suggest that when Jason picks up the monitor and presses the button to perform his death, the death already here for Jason's accountant is when he performs the execution, because you expect Jason to finish the execution so he gives him death! result: many weeping and idiot players get angry because they die and leave the game during jason's execution leaving Jason with no points so you should put the punctuation right when Jason presses the button to kill. Thank you for your attention and I hope the game improves.
  18. A little while ago I updated my AMD Radeon HD8970M driver, after opening Ark Survival Evolved the game was all blue and distorted. Thinking I installed the drivers wrong, I reinstalled them but it didn't fix the problem. Later I noticed that the problem occurred in only Ark and Friday the 13th, every other game I own works fine, I don't know any links between them besides both made with Unreal Engine. Later I contacted AMD Support and asked for help on the AMD forums, I was told on the forums to try a factory reset, so I did. After the reset was done, the problem was still there, so I thought it could be a bug or a compatibility issue with Unreal Engine and Radeon Settings. The person I was talking to at AMD Support told me otherwise, he said it was a problem with the game and I needed to contact the devs, I sent out a bug report but I just wanted other peoples opinions, Could it be the drivers? the game? I thought it could be something wrong with my graphics card but why would it only effect some games? Wouldn't it effect all of them? I don't know much about computer so that's why im asking for help.
  19. Hey Campers, This is a thread that I have been meaning to do for some time but have not previously got around to it. Many times I have new players ask me for advice in game or I see new players lamenting that there isn't more information given in regards to tutorials and strategies. They get the generic, break windows, trap phone first, trap four-seater, don't play Part 7, et cetera but do not actually hear much in terms of specific strategies for specific situations. What I would like to do with this thread is pick a specific scenario or strategy about once, maybe twice, a week and discuss different approaches to dealing with it. Think of it as a playbook where we can share ideas and specific approaches we use for a given situation. The topic was regarding shift-grab and if it was skill or luck. See topic here: WEEK 1 - The Juke (let us talk about the fine art of leaving Jason in the dust) Ok, some might say this is self-explanatory. Don't run in straight lines or git gud or some other such nonsense. New players, and some veterans, have issues with avoiding the aforementioned Shift-Grab. People can be pretty salty about it. There are things that will help offset the skill of the players who have mastered this technique. A. Bear in mind perspective/point of view. A Jason approaching from the rear has YOU as a foreground target. Moving in a linear direction away or perpendicular to Jason's perspective makes you an easier target. Counselors that are walking or jogging are easy pickings in these situations and running counselors are not much better off when moving perpendicular to Jason's perspective. Moving away is slightly better when sprinting because you *possibly* can open up enough distance when he comes out to Shift-Grab you - he might miss. Either way these are less desirable techniques in my opinion. B. Closing the distance of YOU as a foreground target is used by a lot of people. They are trying to throw off Jason's perspective and make him overshoot the target by doubling back on their own path. This can work against short-range Shifts, but it is still essentially moving in the same azimuth (from Jason's point of view) and simply closing the distance quickly. A good Jason can still easily snatch you. C. I recommend using a triangle pattern: You change your foreground presence by moving diagonally. This adjusts your range from Jason in the foreground and makes him consider more than one axis of movement (you are not just moving back and forth or left and right). Figure 1: Moving directly away. Probably the worst option. You are only adjusting your position in the same direction of movement as Jason is facing. Figure 2. Moving perpendicular to Jason. Bad (it gets worse the farther you are away because Jason has more time to steer the hit). A simple Shift approach, leading you like in a shooter game, and Jason has you. Figure 3. Better than 1 or 2 because you are closing the distance between Jason and reducing the time to react. Best used on extremely short Shift distances to throw off the Jason player. It is OK. DO NOT TRY AGAINST A LONG SHIFT. You're just making it easy for shift ninja Jason in my opinion. Figure 4. This is what I do. I change my position both in the foreground and laterally. I move primarily in diagonals and they are strung together in a quick series of adjustments. Don't run any one leg more than a second or so. After the end of two diagonal movements you make a break (horizontal seems best). I would recommend breaking back towards the original center-line for your axis of advance (complete the triangle). This will often throw off Jason's Shift approach and get you out of the grab swath. Remember you can also invert and/or reverse this tactic to make your counselor very unpredictable for a Shift-grabbing Jason. Additional Info: Juking on rough terrain benefits the counselor. Jason has a tendency to get hung up on rocks, trees, building corners, and just about anything else. As you are running/jogging be expecting the Shift and thinking about which way to initiate your juke to put the most obstacles between you and Jason while keeping up your erratic evasion.
  20. I know that some people have requested instructions on how to change the language back to English due to poor translation, hard to read fonts, etc... Here are some instructions on how to change your language settings across all platforms. With Steam, you can change the settings for just Friday the 13th: The Game, or the entire interface. On consoles, it looks like the only way to do it is to change your console language to English. Of course, you can always go back in and change it back, if you prefer, for other games. I hope this helps everyone who has been asking, or is curious about how to do it. PC/Steam To change language settings for Steam Interface: Log into your Steam account Click on "Steam" in the top menu bar (this is in the very upper left of Steam on Windows, or in the menu bar above Steam on OSX) Go to the Settings option ("Preferences on" OSX) Go to the Interface tab Select the language you wish to use from the drop-down menu Click OK and then select the option to Restart Steam Once Steam restarts, you will be able to use Steam and Valve games in the language which you selected. If you have games installed that support the language you have selected, files for that language may need to be downloaded before you can play. To change language Game settings for Friday the 13th: The Game: Right Click on Friday the 13th: The Game in your Steam Library Click Properties Click Set Launch Options -culture= *English = en *French = fr *Italian = it *German = de *Spanish = es *Portuguese = pt XBOXOne Press the menu key of the controller. Go to Settings > System Go to the Location section and select "Language & location". Use the "Language" menu to make your selection. PS4 Go to Settings Go to Language- Select Language & Location Select your language from the drop down menu.
  21. I've heard before that when you set traps as Jason that if they go off and get stepped on the little red icon on the map will dissappear is this false? I've played tons of matches and have yet to figure out where the trap went off at and ended up at the wrong area because the icon didn't go off and I had to guess where it came off at? I've heard Youtubers that say it will show where ect but maybe I'm doing something wrong here.

  23. Hey guys I just bought this game yesterday and have encounter some issues already :/ The problem is, when I try to enter a private match together with some friends, everything goes smoothly at first. Our game starts and there is no problem. After a minute or so though, one of us seemingly leaves the match against our will. Sometimes an error sign is displayed, sometimes we simply are redirected to the menu. Are those connection issues? Have you encounter this problem as well? Please help !
  24. Here's a quick list of things, I think, would make the game a better place for players: A friendly-fire option in the settings. Group the people who have it on together and the people who don't together. Host migration (I know, it's in the works but I wanted to mention it) Experience reduction and a time out for players who quit. If you did a warning and then a reduction/time out, this would lower the amount of players who quit. 75% exp reduction for 5 matches and the player can't rejoin a game for 15 minutes. Make it reset every 24 hours and have the timer go up if it continues. 1 warning, a strike, a second strike, and then the third strike is a 24 hour hiatus for that player. (Been playing some tonight and had 4 players leave. Disgruntle players are leaving between 4-6 out of 10 matches. The problem is running rampant.) The ability to mark the map. Being able to add something as simple as dots to the map, showing specific things, would be incredible. If you find the battery, and the propeller, you could mark the propeller. You could even add an feature that allows you to swap map info with another player. This would make it easier to convey ideas to players who aren't in the game chat. Separate in-game, no chat and people with party chat. I see this, a lot. Players enter, one gets Jason, and their friend helps Jason hunt down the other players. I'm not sure if this would solve the problem but putting all the players who aren't chatting in a room, you're more likely to get a fair game, which is what we're all looking for. It happens all the time with parties who enter a game, less often with people in general chat, and almost never with people who don't chat. Like I said, I don't think this would solve the problem 100% but it would at least create a fair environment for players who are looking for a casual, no chatting, experience. The other two, Party chat, and local/in-game chat, is a bit more complexed. Open to suggestions. This is coming from a huge fan of the classic movies, and the game, who plays on PlayStation 4. If you have things that need added to the list, feel free to let me know. Lets make this game the best it can be!
