  1. IMO strength stat should affect weapon handling. How fast you can recover after you swing your weapon. For example if Buggzy misses a swing, he would recover almost immediately. Currently Strength stat is a flat stat that only increases damage from melee weapons. Strength must be an important stat. Currently Buggzy is useless compared to Vanessa and Chad because low Luck. So my idea is to make Strength more useful is you should run fast and waste less stamina while carrying a part. Because they are heavy things and you are wasting extra energy while you carry them. And let's add a new effect to make Jason HP instead of Mask HP. This stat is a seperate stat from stun. When Jason HP reaches zero, he gets knocks out and enters a recovery state. This state requires button mashing which is determined by Defense. I made this thread because Buggzy is becomes useless after demasking Jason. Because he has low luck. And we should have a new mechanic to fear. Each time you stun Jason your fear will go down.
  2. 1. I'd say, make the scared characters paranoid when the screen gets darker, the characters should start seeing shit. like shadows, on the walls.. of jason so the character can get scared. maybe make it where they have to press the x button quickly to calm down. (<- meh) imagine they open a door and Jason grabs them and then it turns out they are just choking themselves like in Evil Dead 2 Just in cooperate a bunch of the insanity effects from eternal darkness sanity's requiem. would be sick to have better jump scares.. also when the power is off it should be scary dark.. not dark to where i only use my flash light to keep calm. 2. Jason should be able to pick up bodies and place them to scare you like sense should go to be honest.. like it should be a mist, of the area of where a curtain counselor is instead of the sense we have now.. it's to easy to find counselors.. which will then need some new ways to fix cars and boat on top of what we already have.. 3. also getting gas, should work like this you must find the gas container, but its empty. so therefore you must go find the place to fill it up.. this would work best, because then you could give Jason a kill where he lights you on fire with the gas that way, the gas container can be refilled and it won't disappear. There should only be one container of gas, and two batteries.. 4. In order to add the car kill from single player, what they could add is another mechanic where you'd have to fix the lower part of the car.. this would be very risky as Jason could simply insta kill you, unless you are a pretty good fixer, which means.. this would make sure that good fixers are a must. After each kill, animation you can have Jason remove the body from underneath.. that way another person can go and fix the lower part.. that way the Jason player doesn't leave some under.. that would be fair for the counselors. 5. the front car kill can only work, if there is no battery placed in the car, which Jason happily smashes your head with the hood of the car.. 6. The phone should need more than just a fuse to fix, i'd say what if you need a phone specific piece or key, that will open the phone box.. then you can put the fuse in.. this allows for a Jason kill as well.. Jason could open up the fuse box, and either smash the fuse into your mouth killing the counselor, and removing the fuse, meaning youd have to put it back in again.. (if the cops weren't called.) or he can open the box and smash the panel into your skull (similar to the door kill) 7. The boat, the propeller would need, two pieces the propeller and a special wrench.. to fix it, then the gas.. a kill can also be done.. with this.. one Jason can use the kill, from part 6 used against him by the girl Tommy fell for.. but on the counselors.. when you knock them off the boat.. this would mean you would have to introduce, a water grab.. for the specific kill.
  3. You...... Yes you! You have forgotten what it is like to feel hunted. You have forgotten what it is to feel helplessness. You have forgotten fear. But you will remember. Oh yes you will. Very soon now you will remember that you are nothing more than meat for the grinder.........
  4. In the films when the characters are by them self's they have these crazy hallucinations(Part I, III, V, VII,and VIII). I was think why not hallucinations into the fear system. Note: These do not effect the Jason player. Examples: When you're in the woods by yourself - You see this shadowy figure walking the woods but he doesn't notice you, this shadow figure is why ahead of you running the wrong way from you (then the real grabbed you from behind). When you're near the lake - You're past the lake but then your camera pans to the lake and your character screams. You see this boy screaming for help, he screams for his mother to save him, you ignore him and hear the poor drown to death or you can try to save him but that doesn't work either because he still drowns. When you're hiding under a bed or hiding in a closet - You see these shoes walking past your bed either entering or exiting; hiding in a closet Jason walks past or away from the door. When you're driving the boat - Instead of seeing zombie/human Jason you see this boy knocking you guys out of the boat and dragging you to the bottom of the lake. When you're driving - You see this teenager (any teen like Chad or Kenny) running in front of your car. (when you hit the teen nothing happens expect your teen screams) When you're walking in the forest alone (Again) - You hear Jason footsteps around but he in reality he isn't near you at all or he is? (this can also happen in building to) Walking near the lake (Again) - Jason (hallucination) walks out of the water and he is walking towards your direction. When the Jason hallucination touches you he disappears or when the Jason player arrives. Walking near the shack - You ki-ki-ki-ma-ma-ma often around the shack (pointless a little bit) Walking into the shrine in the shack - Mrs.Voorhees laughs at you while the head smiles. Starting up the car - The Jason hallucination appears in front of the car with static and he is either powerwalking/running towards the front of the car. Tell me what you think or tell anymore hallucinations for Jason.
  5. Jenny Myers is a tank for composure. I currently have equipped the Night Owl perk for 58% darkness resistance. Controlled breathing - 22% (faster composure increase while hiding) And Ice Cold - 49% (reduction of fear of dead bodies) For some reason I think Ice Cold may not be that good. Is there any sources of how much fear rises from seeing a dead body? Lone Wolf or Nerves Of Steel are interesting choices. Nerves of Steel is overall fear resistance right?
  6. I find it common that people underrate composure. They value stealth much much more, when they go hand in hand. Jason sees you more easily with sense if you're scared. If you're at maximum fear, you will blink red anywhere on the map regardless if you're hiding or not. And if you're hiding & scared, your character will give up their position and get killed if Jason walks by. I always play as Jenny Myers, because she's meant to be the final girl. She has max composure, and it takes a while to get her to maximum fear. If people bring Jason to my house, all I have to do is hide under a bed and wait till they kill them. Jason usually doesn't detect me in the house, so he leaves after that, and I go back to doing what I was doing.
  7. I saw some matches recently... And when Vanessa was next to Jason, she never stumbled, no matter how much she runned. Why? @[IllFonic]Courier Any possible bugs happening?
  8. Perhaps another way for a counselor's fear to rise is if there is way for the player playing as Jason can pick up a dead body and throw it inside a building through the window, scarring the counselor and raising their fear causing the player's screen to turn very very dim. Just thought it'd be a cool touch and had a little more fun. Watching Part 3 right now and Jason does the same exact thing. Love the game!
  9. Please give a visual meter or symbol on how much fear a counselor has AND when Jason is able to spot you through his sense perk. I know about the "look at the counslors Face" but it is not reliable. I've done some testing in private matches with a buddy and I definitely had 0% fear. I had my flashlight on and I was crouching. But he still managed to find me through sense. I've read the threat about the "fear system" and I know the basics about how it works and how to lower it etc. But as long as you are in his sense vicinity you will glow like a Christmas tree unless you have a perk (which is useless since you can deactivate sense and then reactivate with no cooldown) or are hiding in a hiding spot. So either give us a visual smybol to let you know that your fear is so high that Jason can "sense" you (not that he is using it right now but that he could do it) or give us a meter which fills as your fear grow's. It was hoping for some moments where you stand still and see Jason nearby and hope he doesn't see you but since he always spots you with sense thats not gonna happen. To make it clear I'm not asking for a nerf. It's just so frustrating playing super stealthy just to find out Jason could see you all along and that your playstyle is useless. But if I had a symbol or meter telling me "Jason can sense me right know" then I can adapt my playstyle and for example look for the next hiding spot. English is not my native language so don't go hard on me.
  10. Hello! I have a one question I'd like clarification. Which generates more fear? Being inside or outside. One player made it very clear that I am an idiot because I waited for cops to come, inside the cabin (lights on) while he went to a nearby woods. He said that in a loading screen there is a tip which states that you generate more fear inside the cabin than outside in the woods. Is this true?
  11. I think there should be some sort of adrenaline in the game that compliments the stamina system. Think about this: you're running from Jason and you run out of stamina. You are dead right? wrong! You could have a reserve tank called Adrenaline that lets you sprint past your stamina gauge. The difference in stamina vs. Adrenaline. Adrenaline should only be available when chase music is active. A person only uses their body's adrenaline when they are in danger and the body reacts by escaping using any means. No matter the tiredness of the person, the adrenaline allows them to sprint. What should occur is a screen similar to having tons of fear. No hud, no map, and dimmed screen. Adrenaline cannot be regained and should only be used in a situation that has the player literally running for their life. No one would just stop running because they are tired if a madman is literally inches behind them holding a weapon. Furthermore, make adrenaline purple and place it above the radar. This would give the player that one last gas of escape that could ultimately lead them to victory. Thoughts?
  12. Hello there, i hope you can help me with four questions about the sense ability and fear. 1. So.. we know that Jason can sense the counselors fear (which one let them light up red), but how it works on the buildings, does the buildings light up everytime when a counselor entering or just if one of them have fear? (really hopes just if they have a high fearlevel...) 2. Will the counselors "REALLY" just lights up when the fearlevel is high or maby too randomly with a lesser chance? Will Vanesse with the lowest stealth show up everytime as Chrismastree with red lights or just if shes scared? 3. You see can notice on the minimap that you make noises as counselor with white circles, but the circles become bigger the more noise you makes... Can Jason see your blips from a farther distance or will he see them everytime no matter from what distance while sense is activated? 4.(one more question!) The counselor have one or two perks that allow you to avoid Jasons sense ability with xx% chance, but what it means? When the perk success, is Jason not able to see your blips while his sense is activated or you dont will light up? (sorry when my english is too bad) Thank you for reponses!
  13. I've noticed from watching a few Let's Play's of the Beta (console player, so I won't be able to play the game until it's out) that if you're trying to be stealthy, and trying to hide, your character will give away your position when you scream --even though Jason hasn't spotted you. With that, now he knows that you're in the area. I totally love the screaming aspect, it's one of the small, neat things about the game that drew me in as I was watching it. While I don't want it removed at all, I'd like it to be a little bit tied more into Composure and Fear. With that said, I think it may be a good idea to have whether or not you scream be tied into Composure and how high your fear is. This isn't to say that if you have max composure and you're unafraid that you'll never scream, but it gives you a chance to try to sneak past Jason or hide when he enters a room and not have your counselor scream when you're hiding behind a door and he walks in but doesn't see you. Because IRL if I'm hiding from a psycho killer behind a door and I see them enter, the LAST thing I'm going to do is scream lol The more afraid/injured you are (even if you're hiding) the more likely you are to scream. The less composure you have, the more likely you are to scream (if you're unafraid/uninjured) The more composure you have, the less likely you are to scream (if you're unafraid/uninjured)
  14. This is an idea that came to me in a shower while I was thinking about how to make part 7 Jason more fun, unique, and let his non running capabilities actually not be as big of a drawback as it is now, all without making him overpowered and without even having to touch counselors. Coincidentally, this idea of mine could also potentially fix the Vanessa problem and actually make her speed and stamina have a drawback to it. Basically, this idea came to mind as I was remembering a past match of me pursuing the last Vanessa left of the survivors, and how long it took for me to finally get her. As a player living outside of the popular 1st world countries, my ping is naturally high, and therefore I could not use shift to instantly grab them out of their sprint like so many seem to suggest, so my thoughts shifted to how would it be possible to catch running counselors, but without making them overly slow. The answer was to simply make the counselors more clumsy. Now this is simple, I thought about how the higher their fear level, the more prone to stumbling the counselors are when they run, and how this mechanic right now doesn't particularly play a big role in assisting Jason on catching up with them, so my idea is a simple one, if they can stumble, why can't they fall down? If a falling down mechanic is added, making it so fearful counselors jogging will only stumble, yet fearful counselors sprinting will trip and fall, this could be used as a way to discourage constant running away and encourage a bit more of hiding. This would also give the Composure stat something else to it, as a counselor that tripped and fallen will have to perform a skill check to get back up quickly, if this check is governed by the Composure stat, this means Vanessas that trip and fall will get up slower than other counselors with a high Composure stat, making it so that if a Vanessa is too afraid, running away won't help her much as she's just going to fall down and Jason will be able to catch up to her. Now, about how this could tie in to make Part 7 Jason and other Jasons that can't run more fun and unique. Well, he's one scary ass mother, isn't he? But how scary can one be when you can simply lightly jog away from him? We have this ragged, decaying, walking corpse walking towards you with the intent to kill, that's gotta be scary! Yet with his shift ability not being his strength, it tells me the developers wanted to make Part 7 Jason more of the "I'm going to walk towards you because I know you can't escape me." kind of guy, which can't be done with counselors easily being able to juke him around with a light jog. The solution could be a simple one. If the fear causing stumbling and tripping is added, then simply make Part 7 Jason's mere presence increase counselor fear levels very, very fast, after all, this guy isn't exactly a pretty sight. With that, you could end up with Part 7 Jason stalking his victims, aiming to make their fear so high that they won't be able to outrun him out of pure fear, stumbling constantly and tripping down, trying to desperately crawl away from him. This I think would feel nice for every Part 7 Jason lover and be a nice change of strategy compared to Parts 3 and 2 Jasons, which are more about chasing down counselors and intercepting them rather than stalking them out. I would like some feedback on these ideas, as admittedly I have not thought about it much besides how it would affect Parts 2 and 3 Jasons and other counselors outside of Vanessa, I just want this game to be the best it can be, and if these ideas help out in some way, that's all I could ask for!
