  1. I felt compelled to post a sincere "thank you" to the devoted developers of Friday the 13th the game. Very often, particularly in regards to games that begin their infancy in a persistent on-line format, the developers spend long hours cramming in as many updates as possible while tweaking the game according to player feedback. More often than not, these types of games are more focused on the present moment at the expense of the long view. What happens down the road? What happens when the servers finally unplug? Thankfully, mercifully, Friday the 13th is NOT one of these games. I fully intend to slash and bash on-line to my hearts content for as long as the servers allow. That being said, it warms my heart to know that years from now, after swearing my way through a play-through of the former NES version of Friday the 13th, I can pop in the disc, load the menu, and continue to stalk helpless counselors for many years to come. I want to express my gratitude to the development team for honoring Sean Cunningham's brilliant idea by ensuring that gamers can stir up a serving of blood-curdling nostalgia long after Tom Savini has finally hung up his last bag of prosthetic bloody limbs. So, from an old-school horror fan like myself, with as much sincerity that I can muster; thank you for your hard work and sacrifices. Jason is alive and well, and because of your well-crafted art, the franchise is so much better for it. You guys really killed it. Well done . . .
  2. There are only so many Friday the 13th movies, meaning that there's only so many maps and so many Jason's that they can add into the game. Eventually, Gun will have to start to introduce custom maps and custom Jasons, like they did with eight bit Jason. After taking a look at the new Friday The 13th phone app [Friday The 13th: Puzzle Killer] I came across this. I think it would be fucking awesome for a 'Crystal Lake Ski Resort' map. Taking Jason and the counselors to a completely different setting with snow everywhere. Along with the new map could be a new Jason. 'Frozen Jason', donning a blood-stained winter parka, wielding an ice pick (or a ski pole) and a frozen face underneath the mask. This also opens up new possibilities to new kills like a Hot Tub kill, a Ski Lift kill or something like a new winter-themed counselor clothing pack.
  3. I have an idea for what Alice Hardys stats would look like if she was added to the Friday the 13th Game franchise. Composure - 6/10 (Able to break free from Pamela's grab quite easily but staying somewhat calm with a physio woman in the woods) Luck - 4/10 (Her ability to find things in the movie were not bad, but not great either) Repair - 3/10 (Didn't fix very much but was able to brew up a nice pot of coffee) Stamina - 5/10 (After seeing Bills dead body, she ran back to the cabin, gasping for breath) Speed - 6/10 (Not horribly fast but not to slow either) Stealth - 7/10 (She was able to stay somewhat quiet in the pantry while Pamela was lurking) Strength - 4/10 (Again she was able to hit and fight Pamela okay for a girl) Tell me what you think, I am just trying to bring many new ideas for counselor stats that could be added into the game!
  4. If swimmers go out to the boat exit near the orange cones, there is a semi-circular area Jason cannot swim up to to the swimmers. Needs to be looked at.
  5. I saw someone in another thread related to map questions suggest that they add Crystal Lake from the old NES game to the list. I had been pondering about this myself and his post pushed me to create this thread, so shout outs to @Manny1985 for presenting the idea to the forums first. I would like to see how people think about adding this map to the game, and if they would like the layout. If it a lot of people like it, I will create an official thread in the Suggestion subforum for us. I think the layout is great for the game, roads and paths are already in place. It could maybe use some more trees around the whole map instead of just the two dedicated forest areas, but the caves should be included, and that is where Pamela's head and sweater should be, just as her head was in the old game. The lake could possibly be extended off to the right in order to create an exit for the boat, as there was a rowboat in the original game as well. It actually astounds me how similar the NES game is to this one, now that I think about it. They took inspiration I believe. They could probably recreate the original NES game using assets they already have, but that is another topic altogether. What do you guys think? Would you like to see Retro Crystal Lake as an official map, maybe even with it's classic music recreated?
  6. Person swam out to a rock, couldn't be killed per the exploit. This is on the PC version on Steam, on the map Crystal Lake.
