Think about it. Pamela poisoned the water, murdered the two counselors in 1958, set a bunch of a fires. We know later that Jason would resume the killing around the location for many years. The one person who doesn't get talked about much in all this is Steve Cristy and its always been so strange to me. Yeah, he seemed like a normal guy, just trying to make a buck, and get in good with Alice it looked like. Yet he knew the stakes going in and STILL proceeded with trying to re open Crystal Lake. He knew about the fires, he knew about the bad water, he knew about the two murders. Hell he knew who Mrs. Voorhees was, obviously not that she was the one causing all this trouble. She obviously hid those intentions after her son 'drowned'. But like Enos said...he was up there fixing up the place for over a year...dropped 25k and for what?...ASK ANYBODY. So is Steve Cristy at all responsible for what ended up happening at Crystal Lake for years to come after? What if he just saved that 25k and did something else with his life? The evidence was there to suggest trying to reopen Camp Crystal Lake was not a wise investment?
