I think that there are worse things jason players do besides that. Like that whole abduction thing. I get to do that if another player is sliding or something, but doing that stuff when nobody else is exploiting makes it unfair.

And sorry, I thought you were saying it isn’t an exploit.

No worries, even abduction has an counter. Don't get grabbed. Everything has a counter if you're clever. Problem with the double tap, quick knife grabs, box, and hiding spot breaks is there is no counter for the time it shaves off the game for counselors. Every one of those will cut the time it takes to perform that task in half. At least. If done correctly, a powerbox break can be done nearly instantaneously. Saving Jason 4 seconds. That's time off the game counselors can't counter.

Eh...the age old debate about the difference between what is considered cheating and what is considered skill. Seen time and again throughout many games.

Its like the Jason kill scenario debate. Like half the crowd believing Jason should be buffed in some way against the kill mechanic, whilst the other half just calls them scrubs because they don't block in mobs and that's why they die.

Around here, you definitely see more of a lean towards to the Jason side of things. On places like Reddit, I feel like its more counselor heavily.

At least they made the right choice by allowing more customization to private matches and perhaps more to come in that area. Quick match will just be the same bag of trick or treat its been for a long time.

Exactly! Everyone plays the same game in their own way. If you wanna be in on it you learn to adapt to it, or play with someone else. Or just play a different game altogether. The addition of private settings has brought a new level of gameplay, much fun. It's like it was at the start for me. I have my opinions on the techniques, or exploits. But it's not gonna stop me from playing.

I didn’t say that was an exploit, lol. I think it’s a great technique.  I was only wondering if anybody would tell me how it’s done.   I ended up finding the information I was looking for. So if the mods do decide to lock this because they feel it shouldn’t be here, then that’s fine. The thing is, nobody said shit about how to do it, as that information probably isn’t allowed on here.

Again, I didn’t say it was an exploit. I was saying I thought he was a really good player, and used those techniques to his advantage which is good for him. It’s awesome that a Jason who doesn’t have a strength in destruction can destroy a door so quickly.

Umm, I never said you referred to it as an exploit. I asked if you thought it was, I believe it is. Yes, I do. But I never said you did. Many tournaments and leagues allow it that I play in, and I can say from my own experience it makes the advantage for Jason unbalanced. But, I play through it anyway and adapt. It's the ones that can pull it off flawlessly that really make it hard. The ones that don't time it right, and screw up here and there make it a wash. As a technique, it's tough to deal with for sure.

As far as I’m aware this isn’t an exploit, it’s more like a skill for breaking doors down faster. I’m wondering if anybody can tell me how to do so, because I recently ran into a part 2 Jason who destroyed the doors in under 4 seconds by double tapping the door. Can anybody help me with this?

So, in your own words. A part 2 Jason can destroy a door in 4 seconds. Know who else can do that? A +destruction Jason, so by double tapping the door you can turn a Jason without destruction into one with it. Thus changing the game for counselors. This shaves off seconds that they can regain stamina. And double tap can be used in combat as well. First hit breaks block from counselor, second does damage. What do you think? Whould you say that's an exploit? Btw, not very wise to ask how these things are done in here. Mods will shut this thread down. Just saying.

I Noticed that there is less windows in cabins to escape from Jason in the new update.

The many escape windows have been cut down to 2 or 3 windows in big cabins.

Why have counselors escape cabin windows removed.

Please bring back the multiple windows that counselors can escape through.

maybe im imagining things but it seems as there is less windows for counselors to escape through in cabins.

Windows are the same as they've been for years, nothing has changed. At least not in the 500+ hours I played last year, and the year before...

I almost have a full roster to start entering leagues with. I've looked at a few leagues for XBOX and like a the look of a couple, any suggestions for leagues to look at?

I know a lady who plays in Ps4 and Xbox leagues. Her PSN is LSBNLOVE, probably the same on Xbots. She's pretty much the F13 Oracle, if anyone I know can help you it would be her. Search for her and ask about leagues, tell her redrum sent you.

Played in a couple private matches last night with @Redrum138 and @RustInPeace. We played with no med sprays and no maps to be found unless you used the perks to start with them. Mini map was turned off unless you were using nerves of steel and power was cut to start the match. The only real buff the counselors got was double health to compensate for the lack of med sprays. It was more fun than I've had playing F13 in a long time. It was tense, exactly how the game should be. I managed to survive the night in one match by hiding in the kitchen pantry of Packanack when I was the only one left. I'm not one to usually use hiding spots, but when the deck is stacked against you, you do what you gotta to survive. It was great.😎

Yeah @Vaderspupil @RustInPeace ,so much fun! Hopefully next time we'll get a full lobby to play like that. Loved the hardcore settings that we came up with! No sprays, no hud, no maps, lights out, max fear to start, Jason has no sense in rage and double counselor health. Very movie like settings, intense and fun! @mattshotchaGreat patch, nailed it!

  8. For me, I don't go for the sweater unless I'm going for the kill. Or, creating a distraction for teammates who are working on something. In the latter example most times I won't grab the sweater, unless I have a PK. If I have the sweater I'll go for the kill, the longer I stall on that the higher the possibility of teammates dying. But, if Tommy is dead then it's used as a extra stun.

  9. If you are a day one player like me, that has played many hours per week. It depends on the Jason player really, but yes it's simple if you set it up right. Give me Buggzy, and a machete. But, to the newer players. It must seem impossible at times, especially against a competent Jason. Giving Jason's mask more hit points is fine by me, I welcome the challenge. But, newer players would not like this. So, I get it. All it takes is to watch a few videos on YouTube, or listen to what people tell you if you're new to the game. And you can kill Jason too, there are so many ways to get open shots on Jason with minimal chance of repercussions. Baiting him to grab a teammate, windows, stun or pk animation... Where most newer players go wrong is they use the wrong weapon, and don't understand that stunning Jason causes very minimal damage.

Do you have a video of this since the July patch? I haven't seen anyone be able to get on the roof since the patch.

I had a Jason throw a knife at the car I was driving, the car flipped and threw me out and way up into the air. I landed on the roof, one cabin up from the lodge at Packanack. If I was next to the lodge, guaranteed I would have landed up there. I walked off the edge and made it out to the cops. I am on ps4, Maybe situations like that are leading people to think you can still get up on the roof? Sure If I wanted to I could have stayed up there, but I got down as soon as Jason left to chase the other counselors to the cop exit.

Counselors can cancel any x-prompt with r2 (ps4). NOTE:  If you jump though open window and press r2 midflight, you can get though the window without the landing animation. Also works through broken windows WITHOUT talking damage! Gamechanger?  Jumping through close windows cause damage  , though the animation cancel prevents the landing animation.

Also matchmaking is again affected; creating and joining parties are pretty damn hard.

From what I've heard that's just the tip of the iceberg, you can jump out a 2nd story window and take no damage using this. Also works on any X prompt such as doors, drawers, picking up items and repairs. I haven't had a chance to play yet, but this is word from around the camp.

I despise this "meta" that the majority of the community swears by with TS/Medic/Hypo.  I like my games to reflect the horror and survival aspects of what the game is geared towards.  Having just Thick Skinned, to me, takes away from the thrill of just barely escaping or just making it to another cabin if Jason is in pursuit (and possibly, but not always, breaks off to chase someone else) & combining it with Medic and/or Hypo takes me right out of the feeling entirely (like tanking a trap and not even needing to spray is an insult to the heart of the game, to ME anyway) .

Yup, you know my build is NOS, prep and Lightfoot on my girl AJ. I only use No fear for all my counselors, and the 3rd perk varies. Mostly swift attacker or marathon. That definitely makes the chase harder, and fighting more of a challenge as well. Going without perks we have done a time or 2, that's definitely hard mode! Especially on random when you get Eric "the white panther" LaChappa.

Right, yesterday, due to the random counselor glitch, I got LaChappa, called the cops in 2 mins then just harassed the Jason for 10 mins, I had 2 PK that I didn't even need to use, tunneled me for most of the game, then Rage quits once I got to the cop exit. 🤣

I love getting Chappa on random, so many people laugh when I spawn in and go "Yes! White Panther!" Had one guy laughing so hard, he said "I've NEVER heard someone be excited to get him on random." I love the challenge, sometimes Jason gets me. But my favorite games are when tunnel bots try to run me down, as I'm beating their ass across the map to a chorus of Chappa squeals. 😆

The LaChappa-ThickedSkin, Medic, NervesOfSteel(I use him when I want to fix shit.   I pick him over Deb because the urge to grab the sweater is too strong for me :D and he is sexier.  After I do my repair, I'll still attempt a demask or otherwise annoy the Jason, lol.)

Love LaChappa! That's the build I run on him too, Jasons tunnel vision is strong when he sees the White Panther!

This is probably one of the few games where that never applied to me. I typically set my counselor to random and play the role I'm dealt.

    This is me too

A.J. Mason is the Queen of the game.

This is my personal choice, I like the challenge of surviving with her. Early game she's a ninja, and once Jason gets rage her 1 luck means it's definitely hard mode. Whenever I get her, Jenny, Eric or Deb I get warm and fuzzy. If I get Vanessa, Tiff, Bugz or Chad it's just not the same. Obviously great counselors, just kinda easy mode for me. Depending on the J player!
