  1. Happy F13, Forum! And remember this holiday season to Slay Responsibly! :)
  2. What was the name of that game that was about to be released before it was turned into Friday: The 13th The Game? They could just go back to that idea instead. Victor Miller may own the IP rights to Jason, Pamela, Camp Crystal Lake, etc., but he doesn't own the entire Horror/Slasher genre.

  4. I would imagine it could have either: a. A "cooldown" period of reasonable length to discourage overuse and abuse, or b. A slower "charge-up" animation like Voorhees said in order to allow Counselors time to dodge it Either way, I concur that Jason needs some kind of crowd-control attack to avoid the kind of "wolf-pack" tactics I often see him fall victim to. I hope the Devs see the vid.
  5. Instead of a cop, why not a Sheriff character, or a Deputy? I'm pretty sure there was a Sheriff character in one of the Friday the 13th movies.
  6. Again, I never said Roy wouldn't, or couldn't, Shift. The example I gave clearly said garden shears can not break through barricaded cabin doors, and I gave an alternative way for Roy to break through (when NOT in Rage mode). I'm well aware of Roy's ability to appear out of nowhere in the films; it's the reason I left his ability to Shift in the game alone.
  7. This gif shows what would be "Roys' Rage" ability. I never said Roy wouldn't have a Rage ability, I said he wouldn't be able to break through a barricaded door with garden shears. When Roy is not in supernatural Rage mode, he would use the Shoulder Bash ability I mentioned before. Also, please note that the door in this gif isn't barricaded.
  8. I agree 250%. The game would be infinitely more immersive and suspenseful if Counselors didn't have the crutch of knowing where Jason was on the mini-map. Like you said, Jason should only appear temporarily if/when he's hit by the Flare. Then his icon would gradually "fade out" on the mini-map as the effects of the Flare wore off, and his icon would go back to being invisible again.
  9. I have a few suggestions. Really small ones, no big deal: 1. Roy should not have the ability to break down doors with his Shears. What he should have is a Shoulder Bash ability that accomplishes the same thing, as, to the best of my knowledge, Roy Burns was not a supernatural juggernaut like Jason Voorhees. The animation would be him repeatedly throwing himself against the barricaded door, heedless of shock or pain, until he finally smashes through. Sorry guys, but I'm not buying the whole "I can break down barricaded doors with my pair of garden shears" thing. 2. Roy, again, being but a mere mortal, should not have the same ability to stalk invisibly through water like Jason; he should have the same swim animation as the other Counselors, if a bit faster. When he's about to drown somebody, he would temporarily submerge as he draws closer to them, and then take them from below. Same killing animation as Jason, he just goes about it in a different way because, as I said, he's human, and not supernatural. As I said, really small suggestions, nothing major. Other than these two gripes, Roy looks great. Awesome new Kill animations with the Shears, btw.
  10. Like, for example, having the boat beached on shore instead of already in the water, and requiring him to perform a Strength-based QTE to push it into the water?
  11. Not really an expert here, so I don't know if a human can be decapitated by a window pane, but it's Jason so I guess anything is possible At any rate, the repeated slamming of the window upon the Counselor's neck to lop their heads off would still be a necessity, only difference would be the outcome.
  12. I have some ideas regarding improving the "Window Kill" animation in a way that makes sense. I've seen games where Jason throws a Counselor through an open window, and yet, somehow, scores a kill. So my ideas for new kill animations concerning Jason, a window, and YOU are: 1. "The Guillotine" - This kill animation only applies to cabin windows that are open. Jason takes the struggling Counselor, and forces their head onto the window sill, under the open window, where he then proceeds to repeatedly, and forcefully, slam said window onto the Counselor's head until it smashes open: BOTH the window glass, and said Counselor's skull. 2. "The Rake" a.k.a. "The Cheese Grater" - This kill animation only applies to cabin windows that are smashed. Jason takes the Counselor he is about to kill, and rakes their throat over the broken glass of the window, back and forth. 3. "Kiss the Glass" - This kill animation only applies to cabin windows that are closed. Jason takes the Counselor by the head, and then repeatedly slams their face into the window glass until he smashes it through. Those are all the ideas I have so far. I apologize to anybody if this thread has been discussed before; I searched but didn't find anything. So again: disregard this thread if it has been discussed before. I'm not trying to steal anybody's ideas here. But nonetheless, feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.
