  1. It was confirmed by Ronnie today on twitter that the Savini Jason and clothing pack dlcs won't be available after tomorrow. https://twitter.com/Rontao13/status/847520761778778112
  2. I don't think they are lying, they are preparing for pre-orders. It doesn't mean they passed certification.
  3. Exactly, some big names devs/publishers could learn a lot from them in term of ways to take care of their customers.
  4. Did you order a physical copy for console? My understanding is that the free key will be for the corresponding platform of the one that was ordered in physical form.
  5. This email is a proof of how great those people are! Most companies would say "Sorry for the delay, thank you for your understanding." without any kind of compensation.
  6. Probably because this is mainly concerning physical disc fulfillment I guess.
  7. Now that we know backerkit ends tomorrow, we can only assume that we're even closer to release.
  8. That's what I did in the first place, I bought a digital key to play and a hard copy to add to my F13 collection. The cool thing is that now I have an extra key to gift to someone.
  9. If I understand that email correctly, they're giving anyone who ordered a physical copy an additional digital key free of charge. It's like 2 copies for the price of one, this is awesome!
  10. That's the way I see it too. There's a difference between someone who's looking for help versus someone who's just trying to lure Jason on your position.
  11. There's also a post(#4) by Wes with some more explanations regarding the subject in this thread: http://forum.f13game.com/index.php?/topic/3561-rating-m/
  12. iirc Ronnie said at pax east that the esrb doesn't like it very much when you mix nudity and intense violence + gore, even more if you're aiming for a "mature" rating and not the "adult only" one I guess. Personally, I'm much more in favor that the devs add as much as they can in term of gore elements within the range or the mature rating, than having them to compromise on it just to had some sex or nudity.
  13. Even if this is a game, I think the level of realism in it should be consistent. If you can run someone over with a car, removing friendly fire of any kind goes against that consistency imo.
  14. That was my first guess but yeah, it's a big stretch. Like you said, we knew the steel book was not going to be available forever but now even the regular physical copies are no longer listed. We'll just wait and see.
  15. I just noticed on the backerkit site that both the physical and the steel book versions are not available right now. I know the steel book was limited and I already got my things ordered so I'm no worried, but does it mean they reached the quota they planned for the first run of copies? https://friday-the-13th-the-game.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders
  16. Well, I don't remember if it was implemented in the beta, but Ben made a post on reddit 25 mins ago saying "There is a severe XP penalty for team killing, just a heads up." so it seems there's a punishment in place. https://www.reddit.com/r/F13thegame/comments/61ztbm/to_halt_team_killings/
  17. Unless I missed the announcement earlier, those pics also reveal Jason can use bear traps now. Really nice! https://gyazo.com/7fbb17eb4ce18113050fc7addf41933d
  18. Back in February 2016 I pre-ordered a physical copy for PC, a digital download for PC, the virtual cabin, the clothing pack dlc, the Tom Savini Jason dlc, 2 physical copies of the soundtrack, one digital download of the soundtrack, one physical art book and one digital art book.
  19. For me, part VI Jason should use the machete. In the film he used the fence post on only two victims compared to the eight ones on which he used the machete. Also, having the weapon on his belt and not using it will look like a missed opportunity. And part VII Jason should throw tent stakes and not darts.
  20. Ronnie answer about character abilities yesterday was: "There are no character abilities at this point. They have unique stats but they don't have abilities per se. Not anymore, at least not at the moment." My understanding of this is that they are not in the game anymore, but maybe they are still considering the idea to add them later.
  21. I'm on the steam forum regularly and to be fair, one of the big difference between here and there is the lack of moderation over there. This lead to things going a little too far sometimes. For my part I tend to ignore people insulting me and refrain myself from responding to them. I also think there's nice people too, I made a couple of friends that are really cool with me.
  22. To be fair, like you said, in the 2009 film Clay is searching for his sister. Not only is it the main plot of the movie but he's the main character and she's related to him. And yes, he succeeded at finding her but considering the ending scene at the wooden dock, whether they survived or not is pure speculation. There's a scene in the same movie, where Lawrence goes out looking for Chewie, and I think it's a good example of what happens when a lesser character is looking for someone who is missing. Also imo, saying that since teaming up is a gameplay option it means that it's a team based game, is as much false as saying since you can go on your own it means it's a solo game. Neither are correct because both are optional ways to play, teaming up is a choice as much as going alone. In the game you're just individuals that may decide to team up or not. Ben himself said it: "...it is you vs. Jason, not you and your team vs. Jason. Your goal is to survive; accomplish that any way you can .".
  23. Ben made a post on the steam forum saying the beta requirements are close to the full release. Post #3: http://steamcommunity.com/app/438740/discussions/0/135508489637736381/#c135508489637890951
  24. It's only one of the intended ways to play from what the devs said. Take a look at this from the steam store page: How Will You Survive? The entire focus of Friday the 13th: The Game is multiplayer. Survival is entirely up to you, the player, as you either stealthily hide from Jason or work together as a team to escape or bring the fight to Jason. Playing as a counselor is all about risk and reward, giving players multiple means of triumph over Jason! Want to hide in the woods as you wait for the police? Perhaps you want to band together and try to take on Jason as a group? Maybe you and a friend decide to fix the boat on the lake and escape while leaving everyone else to their fate? There are endless opportunities to survive the night, but every choice has a consequence. Also, here's a post Ben made on the steam forum: "Jason is OP, that's for sure. However; it is you vs. Jason, not you and your team vs. Jason. Your goal is to survive; accomplish that any way you can ."
  25. I'm from Canada, and you?
