  1. Yeah there are 10 counselor choices total (If I counted them right) and we can only use 7 so there will always be left overs for that cutscene to use as the starting kill. ^^
  2. Im no dev of course but I think I have the correct theory to why the Flirty Girl was killed off. The counselors need a reason to know why they are running away and doing these things unlike DBD. In DBD you have been kidnapped and are already in the killers lair trying to escape that is not the case in Friday though. So my theory is since there are more then 7 counselor characters and you can only have 7 players max whichever counselors are left over will randomly die in that cutscene to trigger why the counselors are trying to survive. ^^
  3. So I just watched the IGN game play and LOVED IT I couldn't stop re watching it. There is one thing about it however that I wanted to discuss. I noticed the map gave you so many hints including telling you where the cars and other players were and that got me thinking. Just like Battlefield 4 and other popular online games can we have a option in the full release to have normal/hardcore servers? A few examples being toggle stuff like: Don't have player names/markers above heads Don't show players on the map unless they are right next to you Don't show where the cars are Start the game with no power etc. In other words just depending on the player hosting they can have certain things about the level switched on or off to make each round slightly different id love to hear you're guys thoughts!
  4. I think the map should show you where buildings and such are but I don't think it should show where the cars are parked and such. Thats one of the only few changes to the map id like. Also maybe a option to not show where other counselors are on the map either.
  5. Basically in short I think Wes was saying that sometime down the line they will start slowly reducing the number of servers ran by the company itself and slowly going to player hosted games. Battlefield 4 works like this (as he gave as a example) they have like a handful of dedicated servers ran by the company but then they have like 5000+ ran by players. So yeah if this games servers turn out like Battlefield we won't have anything to worry about we will still have a enjoyable experience!

  7. Even so you can't deny that 3 days in the middle of a work/school week won't limit the player base. All im saying is the beta starts on a Tuesday and ends on Friday why not just budge another inch and make it last until Sunday? That way people have the weekend and that will boost the player base without a doubt and help the devs find more problems/bugs with the game.
  8. Exactly I wasent trying to be selfish really by complaining about the 3 days im looking at it from a design standpoint as well. Gun Media is wanting the beta for our feedback and for us to help with bugs we spot and problems we run into. But theres a huge issue with that with the 3 day beta and the date for it. Almost none of the backers will be available for the beta therefore losing the company viewer feedback and will have less players looking out for problems. So we won't be able to spot as many problems and give as much feedback due to less players and such a small amount of time is what im trying to get at.

  10. I know you guys said the beta wouldn't last "weeks on weeks" but 3 days? I haven't criticized anything you guys have done yet at all I LOVE your work. But can't the beta's last at least a week each? One week will get you more testing time and more players because many players may not even be available to play during those 3 days because of real life issues or work within that tiny time span. So yeah could you guys please at least make it 5 days or a week or something?

  13. Haha well of course I didn't mean my friends don't matter! XD I more so meant a game where you can play with friends but can't find them to play with except in off the record games would kind of defeat the purpose is all hehe. I am very happy to hear we can group up though!

  15. I was wondering if anyone could give me a answer on if you can play with your friends in public matches in the beta and full game on release? Dead by Daylight did not add this option for several months after release and you had no options to play with friends in any public lobbies where you could gain EXP. It would be nice if we didn't have to keep joining and rejoining lobbies constantly on the slim chance that we end up in the same lobbies as our friends. It would kind of defeat the purpose of having beta keys to give to your friends if you have no chance of playing with them except in private games where nothing matters.
  16. The open beta will be coming out before Winter the devs said and then you will receive your keys and 5 extra keys. Winter officially starts on December 21st so if they keep their promise we should have them before then.
  17. Unless they did it just to spice the trailer up I have a theory on how Tommy Jarvis works. I noticed hes using a RADIO and not a phone in this video and the police are specifically called from a dial PHONE you find. So what im thinking is a radio is a thing now and how it works is if a counselor player is already dead and currently spectating when a counselor finds the radio they spawn into the game as Tommy Jarvis armed with a gun to come and help when he responds to the call. Any thoughts on this guys?
  18. Id say at least half of the entire Friday the 13th franchise shows weed in their films so theres no problem. Im not even saying to add weed though just add a guy who is obviously a stoner even if no drugs are added in the game itself. You know give him the shaggy hair look, the hippie look etc.
  19. So I love that all the character "classes" are based on stereotypes and personalities so I was wondering wheres The Stoner? A huge trend with almost all horror movies including a lot of old ones like the Friday the 13th series was stoners. Quite a few of the movies had a stoner character(s) soooo yeah will we ever be seeing a Stoner counselor? I imagine his perks would be he gets scared way less because hes so relaxed or he gets more time in QTE's or skill checks etc because hes so focused.

  21. Maybe it doesnt have to happen strictly that way. But it would be super amazing if it was possible to blow up one of the cabins maybe like one cabin per match has a gas leak or something else to trigger a explosion. It stuns Jason for a while if it happens then he stays on fire for a while when he gets back up.
  22. So there will be fog in the levels? I hope it has kind of a RNG system going on. Like where it can get thicker or thinner at random that would be so cool! You wouldnt need to add wet textures for that either.
  23. Yeah its basically DBD's idea but learning from all the mistakes DBD made! This game also was in development for DBD ever was so yeah its gonna be amazing!
  24. @Jpops do you know if there will be any weather system in the game at all? Even if it doesn't affect anything will there at least be chance cause the map to get stormy/rainy? If anyone can answer this for me it would be greatly appreciated! :3
  25. Like I said in a earlier comment its confirmed in the F13 universe that hunting rifles are on camp grounds. The first movie Alice gets one from a building full of gun cabinets but fails to find ammo before shes chased away.
