  1. Don't think it's too hard if you play it smart. Some people have too much pride to use a hiding spot or something along those lines, but if the cops are a minute away and Jason is busy with a group of counselors, then why not? It's all about smart decisions. Ockham's razor: The simplest choice is normally the correct choice. Simplicity is the name of the game and if it's simpler to hide it out, then why not do it? Just my 2 cents
  2. I totally agree. Before the patch, I became a slasher due to the horrific amount of pocket knives. Now it's not so viable because of hit detection. How is it possible that I strike a tree 5 feet away with a counselor right in front of me?
  3. I see what you're saying, but personally I'd still main as Kenny any day. "Kenny Riedell, Head Counselor, on the case!" ... That's my catchphrase when I play as Kenny
  4. I still firmly believe Kenny or AJ are the best counselors to play as in terms of standard gameplay, if that makes any sense.
  5. I've had a few instances where this has happened, but its never glitched perpetually. Like the posts above, I believe it is the Stalk ability or it could just be a proximity thing. Once he enters a certain radius around you, it triggers regardless of whether he used an ability or not.
  6. The abundance of pocket knives is most definitely an issue. As Jason, I've had to deal with more than one counselor having no less than 2 pocket knives at any given time. It was incredibly frustrating to experience and I resorted to slashing them all to death. The hate messages poured on but I was satisfied. 8/8 kills. At the end of the day, all that matters is whether or not Jason was effective at his job. Whatever his methods, it's sound and not cheating as far as I'm concerned.
  7. I see what everyone is saying. It makes sense it would be abused especially by those in a party with Jason to kill other counselors. Perhaps only Tommy Jarvis can do it? Would that be viable or still just problematic?
  8. This is an idea I've just thought about and I'm unsure if there's a topic discussing it so here goes. For adventurous types who want to kill Jason but aren't great at combat, there should be an alternative to dealing enough damage to remove his mask. Perhaps using a shotgun or even the flare gun to shoot and ignite a gas can for a high-damage dealing explosion? It should be nearly enough to remove Jason's mask, but can insta-kill counselors if they're too close to the blast radius. Damage will also fall off the further the distance to the explosion, so if Jason can move from the epicenter in time, his damage received will be reduced. Keep in mind this will eliminate that particular gas can, limiting escape options. What do you all think about this idea? Should it also be possible to shoot the gas tank and a repaired car for the same effect? Or would the limiting of escape options make the game far too unbalanced? I look forward to everyone's thoughts and suggestions!
  9. I'm truly eager to see what they do with the NES Jason. X is my favorite, but I'm honestly torn between pre-Uber and Uber
  10. Well, I played as Kenny first since he's balanced overall to get a feel for my own playstyle. Personally, I prefer decent speed so Eric is usually out for me. I like Jenny, but her repair is too low for me (if I'm not attempting to kill Jason, I'm actively repairing to escape). Perhaps its similar for other people?
