Hey Campers, Long time no see, I hope you're well. Been a crazy few months, huh? I know there's a lot of questions you all have about the game, future content, legal, etc, etc. We rounded up the most frequently asked questions from the community and worked with the license holders to answer them. Everything we put out or say publicly (including this very forum post) must be approved by the license holders. Some of you will have more questions after reading this below, however, we are not currently able to answer them. Please do not think this is me, or anyone from Gun ignoring you. Please understand the sensitivity and seriousness that the entire F13 IP is currently tangled up in. I spent the last few weeks with legal and the license holders getting these answers. When we know more and can share it, we will. Q: Does this mean you (Gun Media) can create new DLC now? A: We cannot currently add new DLC or Content to the game and it is unclear if this can ever happen. We can only perform maintenance, balance, QoL fixes and bug fixes. Q: Why won’t/when will Gun Media add Uber Jason/Grendel/Clothing DLC? A: The entire license is currently under a legal microscope. We wish this was a more clear-cut, black and white scenario, but it is not. There is a lot of gray. We hope that in the near future more legal clarity will occur, but this is not Gun’s call. As mentioned previously, at this time we can not add any new content, regardless of where the content falls within the F13 canon (Uber Jason for example). While Uber Jason appeared to be close to being finished, there was still remaining work that needs to be completed in order to finish him. When we got word to stop, we stopped. There were clothing packs and kill packs that were also nearly complete. However, the Grendel map still had months of work to go. When this content was leaked, we were under 50% complete. It is not likely that Grendel will ever see the light of day. Q: Why did you (Gun Media) decide to stop making content? A: The decision was made for us to stop making content due to the sensitivity of the legal process. Gun does not own rights to Friday the 13th: The Game. We continue to work with our partners at Horror, Inc. as more information unfolds. Gun wants to release content, as do our partners at Horror. Until more clarity is provided, we can not add new content. Q: Why won’t you (Gun Media) settle with/pay Victor Miller to create content? A: Gun is not a part of the legal issues surrounding the license. It is not our call to “settle” or “pay” anyone as it relates to the legal issues. Our partners at Horror, Inc have reached out a few times in an effort to settle with Mr. Miller. However, we were informed that this communication was ignored. We hope that all parties can come together in the future, so we can add some new content, but it’s not likely, nor should it be expected. Q: Why won’t Horror Inc. settle with Miller so you can create content? A: As mentioned previously, this has been attempted in the past with no progress. Our partners at Horror, Inc will continue to reach out to Mr. Miller, but until communication lines are opened up, there is very little we, or our partners can do at this time. -Wes Keltner

Our next update for PC will address some issues specific to that platform, including a fix for the speed hack that players have been reporting. The next update for consoles - which will not be day and date with the PC update - will include Dedicated Servers, as well as some other bug fixes. We'll have more information as we get closer to the updates being pushed live.

I'd really love to see this game come out with a patch that actually pays more attention to balancing the 'quality of life' that this game has lost. For example, *Jason being beatin by a group of counselors. It's still silly to see, silly to watch. Counselors should fear him, not want to beat him down. Make him stronger and more dangerous. This is one of the biggest updates that's been asked for... for well over 1 year and a half now, by a lot of people. *Counselors screaming when they are in a hiding spot, just out in the open, ruining any chance of ACTUALLY hiding. Everyone knows it. You hide, Jason shows up, and the counselors screams, letting Jason know EXACTLY where the counselor player is. (How this has been in the game well past the beta is beyond me) There are so many common sense fixes and changes that could have been made with this game that still have not come. The part that boggles the mind is how this stuff has been in the game for so long, when it's just such an apparent bluebook problem with the game. Any other developers would have had this kind of stuff stitched out well at the start of the game's release. This game is practically still in beta.

You have roughly the first 8-10 minutes of the match to make repairs to the cars and boat. Get a call off to the cops and allow the timer to start counting down. Everyone complaining about Jason be invincible after rage are more than likely the players that only want to knock Jason on his ass and dance. You can still do that for the first half of the match. Everyone saying it has broken the game for counselors obviously hasn’t been playing the game as it was intended to be played. Escape options are still there. After they fix the bug preventing Jason to be brought to his knees during the sweater stun, the kill option is still there. I’ve played over 15 matches since the update. Players have escaped in all but 3 matches that I have played, and two of those matches, we were all dead before rage. And as a side note, Jason needs to be a little OP in the grand scheme of things (although I don’t think he is in his current state). You are trespassing at his camp and he blames you for his mother’s death. Jason is the main character of Friday the 13th, and he’s a killer.

Are you guys ever going to address the fact Jason is terrible to play currently and his grab is absolute trash? You fixed him and made him fun to play again previously then completely broke him again with the new engine update when you added the new grab animation. The animation is great but the grab mechanics are back to being broken. Counselors can run circles around you to troll you because if you're on even a slight arch to Jason when he makes his lunge, he misses. It's so easy to avoid and makes Jason frustrating for even good Jason's to play. And the boat change is absolutely mind boggling. Do you guys even play your own game? If Jason stops the car, you can still get out and escape. If you get grabbed as you get out, pocket knife or someone hitting him can get you free. You still have a CHANCE. With the boat, if Jason stops the boat, you're dead. You can't use a knife or attack in the water. You can't dodge him like a shift. It's a death trap. So the entire POINT of the boat not alerting Jason on startup was so you COULD potentially get out on it without him noticing. You guys even SAID YOURSELVES it has less parts to get to start it because it's high risk, high reward. If Jason sees it going, you're dead. But if he doesn't, free escape. That's the definition of high risk, high reward. Alerting Jason to the boat startup means anyone attempting the boat escape will die unless the Jason is a low water speed Jason like Savini and they suck. You guys just completely removed a means of escape. I don't get the logic in this at all. And then you guys get perplexed and frustrated at US when we complain about this stuff like we're the problem....

Hey Campers! Since we are not allowed to add new content, we are focusing our attention on what we already have, and how we can make it better. With that in mind, let’s talk about our Perk system. It’s too grindy. You know it. We know it. It should be smarter and follow a player’s progression in the game. What we are proposing is that when you spend your hard earned CP to roll a perk, the system checks your current level, and then rolls perks that reflect your level. This way, higher level players should see a significantly higher percentage of rolling Epic and Legendary perks compared to the current system. This should reduce the chances of higher level players rolling perks that aren’t indicative of their level. That makes sense, right? To help wrap your head around this change, here’s a theoretical example. This is only to help explain our current thoughts, and will NOT be the exact change. When a player first starts out in the game, they’ll see perks around the Poor or Common tiers. As they progress into the 20s, they’ll see more Common and Uncommon perks. As players get to higher and higher levels, they’ll see the perk tiers that they roll becoming better and better, culminating with players typically rolling perks no worse than Rare, and with a better chance at Epic and Legendaries. So when can we expect this? We’ve got to finish designing it so it makes sense, then we’ve got to implement it. After that we’ll have a lot of testing that we need to do to ensure the new system is running smoothly and can’t be exploited. And then we need to get it through QA, and then through console certification. All of this takes time, so we ask for your patience. In the meantime, we’ll be continuing to roll out bug fixes and other Quality of Life improvements. But wait, there’s more. We’re aren’t happy with Legendary perks. We like that there’s a pro/con to Legendary perks, but we feel like some of the pros (on certain perks) don’t really feel like a “pro”. Or at least they don’t move the needle enough. So here’s where we open up the discussion to you: should all perks (Poor, Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary) have a pro/con or just the Legendary perks? What perks do you think need a slight buff? What perks are overpowered? We’re here, and we’re listening. -W

Dedicated Server Update 9/26 – All Platforms Fixed a search cancelling issue where a player could become stuck while cancelling out of a Quick Play match search Fixed an issue where server uptime could cause a handshake failure when connecting to a game server (this caused the "infinite connection" issue) Today's HotFix update should start going live for all players at approximately 4pm Eastern. Please keep in mind that the update may take a while to roll out to all players on all platforms. This hotfix represents the final update from IllFonic for Friday the 13th: The Game.

With all of the negativity floating around I wanted to take a moment of my day to thank anyone who had anything to do with the creation of this game. Im old in video game years this game was the soul reason I purchased a playstation and pay for ps plus. It has led me to rediscovering video games after what was about a 12 year hiatus. When I was a kid I used to hope and pray this game would get made. I am a huuuge fan of the franchise. This game exceeded my expectations. The details on the maps especially packanack are a thing of nostalgia that matched my highest hopes. The things we did not get were a part of the worst Friday the 13th film in the franchise(Jason X or manhattan take your pick) This is by far my favorite casual game on the ps4. I see so much whining and knitpicking every minute detail. Some of it is genuine, and some of it rings false. The sheer magnitude of the game for someone who loves the films is incredible. My father a 70 year old man loves it. This man loves nothing. So thank you to Gun Media, The development team(s), and anyone else involved in this game. You have 1 extremely satisfied fan. Heres to a part 2 on the next gen of consoles cheers.

You know, I've also been playing since this game released. I'm not great at video games. But I've become pretty good at this one. I kill everyone most of the time. I like to kill counselors alot. Pretty good at killing them and avoiding their attacks The times I don't kill em all It's because they get lucky stuns from those fucking "freebies" , shitty battle mechanics and a crappy grab animation. It is the most bullshit aspect of a game that is almost entirely comprised of bullshit aspects. I know why it's in there. It's because grieving counselor mains kept crying abput "forcegrabs" and OP Jason. I nevee liked the idea. And if it happened once a game, ok fine. It happens 10-15 times per game. Does Jason have have somekind of spasms that freeze him in place after being hit with a fucking stick? How in the whole fuck is this any way fair? Counselors have no equivalent. Jason just freezes 20 times a game after being hit by whoever with whatever I realize all this has been said before. It's just been irritating me for a while so I thought I'd whine on the internet. Wahh! Ahh. Better. Lastly, I would just like to extend a hearty "go fuck yourself" to any players who exploit these absolute fuckeries. If I've been killing counselors for 20 minutes, and then you "win" because my character froze after raging through a door or being stunlocked, please understand this in no way constitutes a victory on your part. Ok that's all. Let's see who's the next loser who comes here crying about absolutely nothing.

Why would you add a sound for the boat starting? You already were taking a huge risk with the boat. Now the boat is useless.
  14. 14 points
But then that once again raises the question..... these kills were CLEARLY done before the cutoff date. So WHY exactly can’t they be included?? You guys keep avoiding that very simple, logical question.
  15. 13 points
Ok guys, I've read enough these days, even after the update, about the "unfairness" of Jason killing teams, and how try to stop them (which is, I remind you, a way to team with Jason) is justified as "killing Jason is too easy" and shit. Well, I've been a player since day 1. I am part of a Jason killing team, and I can assure you that 70% of times one of us spawns as Jarvis, Jason is dead meat. On the other hand, as the killer I've been put down like ONCE in the last 6 months. Keep in mind we play everyday, for hours, my spawning preference is put on "none" and I consider myself an average player and an average Jason. You wanna know what the problem is? It has nothing to do with "game mechanics", "how the game was intended to be played by the devs" or "naughty counselors teaming up and turning me in a pinata Jason :_( " The issue is simpler: 90% of Jason players are absolute simpletons who have to this day NO IDEA how to counter a Jason killing team, or a group hunting. The scenario I come across is almost everytime identical: - My team charges Jason so one of us will die and spawn as Jarvis, and maybe we'll unmask him too in the process. - Jason doesn't see through the obvious strategy granting us exactly what we wanted in the first place - As Jarvis spawns we go get the sweater, usually without bringing the mask so Jason can hear us, and the killer just mindlessly charges us EVEN IF UNMASKED and gets quickly killed. Guys you can get all the buffs you want, and last one was a big one, but if you just charge everything that moves like a raging bull, don't blame the devs or the "teams" if you die. As I told you, I'm a mediocre Jason but I got killed like once in the last 4-5 months because even If I'm no genius I'm smart enough to -disable and trap radio tower - ignore counselors who charge at me with an obvious deathwish until I'm sure I've put down 2-3 players who are not in their team. - Avoid taking groups until you are in rage mode. And even then COMBAT STANCE AND BLOCK! COMBAT STANCE AND BLOCK! JEEEZ! - Avoid the classic "trap the phone, trap the cars" strategy, and instead save my traps for later in game. Again, I'm a mediocre player at best, but I play everyday and I just don't see all the issues you see. Maybe you are part of the problem, ever thought of that?
  16. 13 points
Right, after playing this game it made me confused. I can’t understand how a game can be soo broken and badly made. The killer is so over powered that the survivors might as well end themselves. Teleporting cross map and being able to see red outlines of players is about as retarded as it comes. You can’t choose what server to join and get forced into a US server. Meaning that everyone outside of the US lag like spazmoids. The wait times are incredible and that’s probably due to people not hating themselves enough to put themselves through this......game? As the killer is OP and the stupid US servers causing mass lag it makes the game hilarious as opposed to the scary strategic game I think you intended it to be. I was expecting a fun and thrilling game rather than a BTEC dead by daylight. When I watched the film, I don’t remember Jason being able to teleport and sence peoples location to the point he can literally see the characters cross map. Neither do I remember him being slapped about with a frying pan. It’s a shame you disgraced the movie. It really is. I can see the team tried their best. Unfortunately I won’t be opening this app again any time soon. Unless i need a good laugh in which case I will just load up the game to laugh at its many flaws. The graphics and textures are a let down, the emotes are pointless as by the time you have finished your emote. The killer would have teleported on you and hacked up your face. Why have hiding spots if Jason can see your every move?
  17. 13 points
I concur. It's not too far off 2 years since the very first time I got to play F13. I've definitely noticed throughout my entire playtime that Jason is not effective enough at dealing with groups. He just isn't, there's no two ways about it. I play a strong Jason (don't mean to toot my own horn too loudly there) and haven't been defeated once, despite being rather ruthless when I play. It's not often groups get the opportunity to gang up on me, but when they do it's far more work than it should be to disperse the crowd. Balance can be a bit tough to gauge in this instance. Jason is perfect for fighting individual counsellors, it's just groups. Catching people who run all game isn't an issue because knives and stalk make short work of them. So, we have to think "how can we make Jason stronger against groups without making him a nightmare for single players". We can't buff knife or melee damage because everyone would be getting crippled every two minutes. We can't give him any more traps because they're already balanced between each playable Jason. We just need to balance it against groups. So that narrows down what things can be changed; powers and charge times, animations, item spawns/durability, max Jason health (before demask) and damage/stuns inflicted by counsellors. Based on that, my suggestions would be either one of or multiple of the following: #1 - Add a function that lets you flick the thumb stick/click the mouse whilst in combat stance to change your target lock on. Maybe even a little hockey mask icon above them so you can see who you're targeting. Make holding R2 perform the standard weapon attack (one you do when not in combat stance) and make tapping R2 perform the move you usually do in combat stance. Make it so that knives can be thrown whilst in combat stance and decrease all damage taken whilst in combat stance, even when not blocking. Good thing about this is that counsellors can still run or still try and surprise him with sneaky attacks, but it will dissuade people from wanting to attack him when he knows you're coming because he'll move slower but be harder to demask in combat stance. These changes let Jason fight more effectively in groups and shouldn't cause any issues for the copyright suit that's on going. Just change some values and reuse the hockey mask icon from the private lobby when someone is picked as Jason before the match starts. #2 - Remove the ability to chain stun (it seriously needs to go anyway) and add diminishing returns on stuns. This has been suggested before and seems like a good idea to me. Simply give Jason 3 seconds of immunity when he stands up and for every time he's stunned again within a short time frame after (say 1 minute), he's on the ground for a shorter period of time with an extra second added on to his stun immunity when standing. After a few minutes of no stuns, his resistance returns to normal. #3 - Increase the amount of stamina needed to attack Jason whilst at full fear. When grouped up, counsellor fear levels tend to reach maximum fairly quickly in a long fight with Jason due to being around him. To dissuade people from ganging up and relentlessly beating you, make melee attacks cost more stamina as your fear rises, and maybe make them less effective at higher fear too. This dissuades people from being around Jason because their stamina will run out very quick if they try to fight him, but they can still run just as effectively. Players will have a higher chance of demasking him when they're not standing around trying to bash him, which should dissuade gangs from looking for you. A good thing about this suggestion is that it will stop counsellors taking lots of swings and will reduce the effectiveness of groups. Say there's 5 people attacking Jason. After a minute or two, they're all at full fear. Say it takes 75% stamina to swing your weapon in this state. You get 1 good swing and probably 5-10 seconds after, you get another. If you miss, you still have a little bit of stamina to try and run away. This stops loads of attacks being made at Jason and will encourage players to manage their fear before fighting him. Make it so that when you're at full fear, your combat effectiveness goes way down. You get a good few moments to stand toe to toe with him in the beginning but at full fear, running away is a better option. It'll reduce group effectiveness without overpowering or underpowering individual counsellors. #4 - Last but not least, make Jason more fearsome during rage. Keep everything the same but double/triple his mask health, slightly increase his melee and knife damage and make him take only tiny, tiny amounts of damage whilst blocking. This makes it so that Jason can go about his business until he gets rage, and then he when he does he'll kick a group's ass, but won't be too overpowered for any single players to deal with. They can still run away, but players need to be very heavily dissuaded from attacking him when he has rage. When he gets rage, people should be genuinely afraid to fight him. These are a few of my suggestions that could be added without causing issues with the copyright lawsuit. No new assets require making and only some parameters need changing. I had considered other things like an area attack for Jason, but that would mean a new animation would have to be added, and that can't be done.

Not true. You can't just look at Steam players and ignore everyone who plays on consoles.

Jason is supposed to be hard, he is supposed to be OP. Jason should absolutely win the majority of the matches, killing him should be very rare and difficult. Fighting Jason should Be a last resort, running from him is the point. How is this hard to understand. I’m sorry some people don’t like losing, but somebody always has to lose and the point of the genre and the spirit of the game is Jason wins most of the time. Escaping should be a challenge

Yup, there will be updates. We’re definitely feeling the “Jason feels weak” sentiment from everyone, and we’re looking at ways to address that. Some of what we’re looking at has been mentioned by the community, some of is hasn’t been. We aren’t ready to talk about the specifics of possible balance changes just yet, but the team at Black Tower is currently working on bug fixes as well.

Simple answer. They don’t WANT to. The Killer Puzzle game STILL puts out new content DAILY. They have a Daily Puzzle mode that is a brand new level everyday. That’s NEW content. By Gun’s standards. Exactly what they claim they can’t do. It appears they just don’t WANT to. But they have completely stopped communicating for no reason. So all we can do is “speculate” of course....

As discussed on BEYOND, this patch is coming in as soon as it completes the process. The patch is rolling out to certification now and should be on it's way to players soon. Keep an eye out here for the date, or on our social media channels. EDIT 1: The patch is now live on Steam, rolling out on PS4, and on the way shortly on Xbox One. PATCH NOTES: GENERAL & FINE TUNING Various Quality of Life fixes implemented to the Virtual Cabin 2.0. Removed helium from various floating objects on all maps. Resolved an issue with environmental kills not displaying on Higgins Haven Small. Fixed an issue with the Emote user interface. Dance like nobody's watching… Various Quality of Life fixes for Menu items. ENVIRONMENT AND COLLISION Resolved multiple issues that allowed players to reach rooftops on all maps. Resolved multiple issues that allowed players to reach areas that Jason could not reach on all maps. Made areas where players were stuck less sticky. Fixed an issue where the Shift ability would allow Jason on rooftops. Cars no longer damage players through walls. Fixes applied to prevent counselors from parking the car and blocking Jason from reaching them. INTERACTION LOCKS Corrected several scenarios that caused players to suffer an interaction lock including: COUNSELOR: During bear trap deployment or interaction. While performing blocks. While weapon swapping. While weapon swapping and entering combat stance. During small item use. While dropping items. After using the map. After aiming the flare gun or shotgun. Dodging while dropping a weapon. JASON: When shifting and interacting with items, environment, or counselors. When shifting into water. (He really wasn’t a good swimmer.) JASON SPECIFIC CHANGES Using the sweater to stun Jason while he is already down will not activate the next phase of the kill progression, and will not allow players to kneel him directly from the down state. This was an unintended effect where players were able to stun a stunned Jason, leading to the Tommy Jarvis kill on Jason. Fixed an issue where Jason shifting to avoid the sweater stun animation still allowed counselors to bring him to his knees without the stun.

I feel bad for the idiots still posting on the official forums, about a game they think is a rip off. Seems a bit pathetic really.
  29. 11 points
Honestly, Counselors are getting burnt out by this non stunnable Jason since we can’t even regain stamina by stunning him anymore. RIP the counselor stun meta, it’s basically unbalanced now. Hopefully Black Tower games reverts this change or something, because the game isn’t even fun anymore for counselors.

Was wanting to share, just hit it after I spent over 4 million CP on Legendary Thick Skin. Motorboating ended the pursuit of all 30.

Gun doing the useless engine "upgrade" in favor of finishing and releasing Uber and Grendel was the biggest mistake in the history of big mistakes. By their own admission, an engine upgrade would fall under the technical maintenance they would still be legally allowed to do, as opposed to creating new content that would have perpetuated an original storyline set in the Friday the 13th universe. By all accounts they knew about the upcoming deadline, so it was stupid to do the engine upgrade first. So Gun exchanged new content that was very much in demand in exchange for more bugs and glitches than ever before (I love Chad's black hair and lack of eyebrows now) and dedicated console servers (that will probably never materialize). Oh, and where all these bug fixes that the devs are supposed to have all of this wonderful free time to be working on now? Where are the updates? The Communication? Anything? I've been one of the biggest defenders here of Gun and Illfonic, but my patience is pretty much gone at this point.

That seems excessive, and a bit of an overestimation. If they wanted praise, they'd have been more communicative and transparent. Announcement trailers that turned into cancelled game modes, the still unresolved Savini code selling campaign, unfulfilled backer kits more than a YEAR after the game officially released, pervasive bugs, glitches, and exploits, prioritizing an engine upgrade over new content, multiple thoroughly documented instances of outright misinformation by employees and agents of Gun/Illfonic.... all these things give the community plenty of reasons to be upset. Continue to like the game and the IP all you want. Defend everyone except the folks who have legitimate complaints, that's your right. But don't denigrate folks who disagree with you. Everything I listed up there is true. Not opinion, not subjective, but verifiable fact. You can argue an opinion, but the facts are what they are. Edit: @OCT 31 1978 is a good dude/dudette, and I'm just frustrated by the whole situation.

#1 Don't get grabbed. Use windows, LOCK DOORS, use the unbreakable furniture. Try to avoid broken windows if you can by running out of the broken door instead. If Jason is around stay close to the larger cabins and try not to let him see you. #2 Don't get knifed. Run in a zig zag pattern and learn how to juke throwing knives with the rear view button. #3 NEVER run in a straight line if you see static on your screen. Immediately take a left or a right and start zig zaging. Jason is shifting towards you looking for a grab or a slash. #4 If jason is slashing you can trade hits with him. Typically this will stun Jason and allow you to escape. If you have a health spray now is the time to use it. #5 Perks to look out for at ANY quality. Thick Skin = More health Hypochondriac = Start with a health spray Medic = One health spray will have two uses when picked up. Slugger = Start with a baseball bat. Marathon = More stamina Restful = Faster stamina regeneration. #6 This is NOT Dead by Daylight. Hiding crouched in a corner in the middle of the woods is NOT going to save you. Jason's Sense power will light you up like the Predator's bio mask. If you want to try to hide use the larger cabins. Don't use the hiding spots unless Jason is far away and your trying to stay off his Sense. Jason can hear you climb into a hiding spot and typically your counselor will cry out when he or she sees Jason. If you hold your breath they won't but Jason will hear you exhale when you run out of breath. Hiding in a hiding spot only keeps you off Jason's Sense power until he has Rage. Then he can Sense you across the map. Rage occurs automatically ten minutes into the match or even sooner if Jason has been beat up a lot early. #7 Stamina management is key. If Jason is far away and chasing you run and head for the nearest cabin. Cabins allow you to take a breather for a moment and refill your stamina. If Jason is close jog ahead out of grab and slash range running when you have to to keep out of that range until you get into a cabin. Don't be afraid to jump through open windows or even broken or closed ones if you have a health spray. In this game you don't get a bunch of second chances like in Dead by Daylight. You have to learn how to combat Jason when you have to and kite him around with superior stamina management.

I just want to know what’s up? Waiting sucks, and unless it’s amazing news, the waiting will only make us all more bitter. #savecrystallake, for real this time Shifty.

You are a new player obviously , you have no idea how weak Jason is these days.

Campers, we’re rolling out Dedicated Servers on PS4 today. Please keep in mind that it will take time before the update reaches all players globally. The Xbox One Dedicated Server update is still moving through certification, but we’ll share information as we get it and will push the update live as soon as it is ready.

They're not going to just randomly decide to revert back to beta level 16 months after releasing the game and make all the work they've done up to this point irrelevant.

It´s amazingly pathetic that there is not even the slightest info about bug fixing. Big silence about everything game related for ages but as soon as it is about bans someone hops in... Rather care about fixing your game and acting like a decent developer and you won´t have to deal with bans so much.

I don't want to say the devs abandoned the game, but...

Then you guys must be playing a different game to me. I don't get many bugs that stop me playing a full match.

I'm a backer. I backed the game by buying it twice on backerkit (one for ps4 one for PC) , buying Burning Jason for both (learned tom savini had nothing to do with the design, so I call him burning jason), and I bought the bonus clothing pack for PC. Post launch, my PS4 version got all the kill packs, my PC version got the kill packs, emotes, and outfits. I've convinced people to get the game and I championed this game non stop. I've long since done my part and have no reason to buy the game again, especially when the game is "7 people kill a guy with a limp". I'm upset that single player challenges unlock emotes instead of kills or costumes for Jason or anything relating to Jason. I'm upset the virtual cabin ends by telling me Uber Jason is on the way, but he never will be. I'm upset the Fire axe and the spear had kill packs ready but that was put on hold for emotes and an engine upgrade that means nothing because the game is dead and won't be getting anymore updates, so servers and anything pertaining to the counselors means nothing. I'm upset that instead of less buggy game that had more Jasons and more kills, it's a counselor dance off and dress up game and Jason, the star attraction, takes a back seat (30 goddamn emotes are unlocked in the Jason challenges instead of 10 kills or even another weapon to use). The multiplayer component of this game is dead. All that is left is the singleplayer content vs Bots, the challenges, and the virtual cabin. Good going guys, your focus on the counselor dress up dance parties was so important that the game about Jason has very little Jason content when all you have is single player. I will not get this again, and I will steer any of my friends away from it.

It's really unbelievable that Wes is all over the Reddit post about this but not his own forum addressing it.

For all the Friday the 13th licence has done for the game it's brought it down just as much maybe even more. I can't speak for the entire player base but I will say that many of us want more content. We are not going to get it so it's time to dust off the original idea and put it into motion. I prefer Friday the 13th to Dead by Daylight for one simple reason. If Jason Voorhees catches you it's all over but the screaming unless you have a pocket knife. I have always appreciated this approach. Your not a killer in Dead by Daylight your a hooker. It's time to get creative and start putting "Summer Camp" into motion. As a player I want more! Ditch the licence and start working towards an original intellectual property. Keep the same style of gameplay. Include the multiple ways to win. Keep the if caught your dead killer gameplay. And stock it with original characters, maps and killers! If anyone can get this job done it's you guys at Gun Media. @wes @mattshotcha you have your fingers on the pulse of 1980's horror cinema. You can make the camp great again you simply have to reinvent it. Sincerely Six

Hey gang, expect some news early next week. Tuesday most likely. I wanted to get you a status update before the weekend, but it's not firm enough right now to do so. We're working on sorting out what happened with this patch, but also some of our processes here so that we can minimize this happening again. As I said, news/status update early next week, fingers crossed with an ETA, but at the least, a status check in.

(This is not sarcasm or irony, I'm being genuine here) Teamwork. That is what's always grabbed my attention most about this game (other than murdering cocky douchebags who believe themselves to have teh 1337 skillz). I've played a lot of online multiplayer games of many different genres, but I honestly think this is the one where teamwork comes the most naturally (assuming you're playing with decent teammates and not trolls). Even for very new players, no one has to tell them to hit Jason to free a teammate or cover a repair counselor while a repair is made. No one hesitates to spray a limping counselor if they have spare first aid, or drop surplus firecrackers or other supplies. Anytime I've ever played sweater-girl, I've always had players either give me spare PKs or med spray, or escort me around as a makeshift bodyguard. And I can't even count how many times I've been limping to the cops with Jason right behind me only to get saved at the last second by someone I didn't even know was there. Personally, I find this aspect one of the most rewarding parts of playing this game (again, aside from murdering cocky douchebags who believe themselves to have teh 1337 skillz). It's a great feeling to escape/survive as a team, especially since technically, everybody could lone wolf it if they wanted to. You don't HAVE to work together, but most players do, and that's what makes the difference.

How the hell are counselors so overpowered that people actually go "Jason Hunting"? I mean are you fucking kidding me? What kind of concept is this on a game where Jason Voorhees is the antagonist who has to run from a group, not have a circle jerk where 5 Vanessa's can beat the ever living shit out of you, wear the sweater and kill you rather easily with Tommy? Fucking ridiculous. It's also pretty fucking ridiculous how you can stun Jason with a bat Every. Single. Time. Also combat stance is beyond useless. You can't do anything in that mode, and you are still easily vulnerable in the back where you have 4/5 counselors gaining up on you. It's so fucking stupid. Too bad F13 the creators don't give a fuck because they aren't changing shit. I'm taking the game too seriously but really is disgraceful to Jason Voorhees. Call this game "Friday the 13th: Counselors Unite". They can beat the shit out of any Jason. Unreal. And let me be the first to say the only people who will disagree me are people who enjoy using counselors way more than they use Jason, so they'll say the "Git gud" bullcrap.

Sounds like to me you just waited for the first excuse to drop the game. :/
