Hey Campers, Long time no see, I hope you're well. Been a crazy few months, huh? I know there's a lot of questions you all have about the game, future content, legal, etc, etc. We rounded up the most frequently asked questions from the community and worked with the license holders to answer them. Everything we put out or say publicly (including this very forum post) must be approved by the license holders. Some of you will have more questions after reading this below, however, we are not currently able to answer them. Please do not think this is me, or anyone from Gun ignoring you. Please understand the sensitivity and seriousness that the entire F13 IP is currently tangled up in. I spent the last few weeks with legal and the license holders getting these answers. When we know more and can share it, we will. Q: Does this mean you (Gun Media) can create new DLC now? A: We cannot currently add new DLC or Content to the game and it is unclear if this can ever happen. We can only perform maintenance, balance, QoL fixes and bug fixes. Q: Why won’t/when will Gun Media add Uber Jason/Grendel/Clothing DLC? A: The entire license is currently under a legal microscope. We wish this was a more clear-cut, black and white scenario, but it is not. There is a lot of gray. We hope that in the near future more legal clarity will occur, but this is not Gun’s call. As mentioned previously, at this time we can not add any new content, regardless of where the content falls within the F13 canon (Uber Jason for example). While Uber Jason appeared to be close to being finished, there was still remaining work that needs to be completed in order to finish him. When we got word to stop, we stopped. There were clothing packs and kill packs that were also nearly complete. However, the Grendel map still had months of work to go. When this content was leaked, we were under 50% complete. It is not likely that Grendel will ever see the light of day. Q: Why did you (Gun Media) decide to stop making content? A: The decision was made for us to stop making content due to the sensitivity of the legal process. Gun does not own rights to Friday the 13th: The Game. We continue to work with our partners at Horror, Inc. as more information unfolds. Gun wants to release content, as do our partners at Horror. Until more clarity is provided, we can not add new content. Q: Why won’t you (Gun Media) settle with/pay Victor Miller to create content? A: Gun is not a part of the legal issues surrounding the license. It is not our call to “settle” or “pay” anyone as it relates to the legal issues. Our partners at Horror, Inc have reached out a few times in an effort to settle with Mr. Miller. However, we were informed that this communication was ignored. We hope that all parties can come together in the future, so we can add some new content, but it’s not likely, nor should it be expected. Q: Why won’t Horror Inc. settle with Miller so you can create content? A: As mentioned previously, this has been attempted in the past with no progress. Our partners at Horror, Inc will continue to reach out to Mr. Miller, but until communication lines are opened up, there is very little we, or our partners can do at this time. -Wes Keltner

Yeah, i dont get the leave door open thing. I killed a pretty high level counselor last night that was doing this. stalk shift grab right in middle of cabin. no chance of doing this if he just turned around and closed the door we would of prob been on a long chase. Thanks! ?

Currently have a Epic, 9% fear resistance from Preparedness & a uncommon 5% fear resistance from Nerves Of Steel. It's noticeably better. The most afraid my Jenny gets is the nervous stage from being around Jason a long time for the majority of the time. Here's to rolling that epic Nerves of Steel.

Of course, lol! I main Debs now, epic Nerves of steel, Preparedness, and thickskin. All max bonus, total of -2 sprint speed.

That doesn't make any sense and it's not true. If you close doors you can use windows and Jason not. The cons on leaving the doors open in a Jason chasing scenario are too many. I hope you don't give this a try in a lobby where I play

On a side note if you really pay attention to the opening cinematics on certain maps it will give you clues to where the Tommy radio is.Higgins Large is a good example, you can see the tower in the cinematic sometimes so you know it's near the campsite on the eastern side.

I've actually have memorized the Tommy house box locations for the most part.Pinehurst and Jarvis I still haven't quite got the patterns down but they don't get played that often. It comes as a big help since killing Jason at least on PC has sort of become the thing to do now. I've even had kill squads waste pocket knives on the traps guarding the power box to get Tommy in the game. It does need to be harder to kill Jason.

I'm banking on this new Halloween movie being a big hit this weekend. That should hopefully give enough motivation for both parties to get back to the table to cut a deal. I really am fiending for new maps, clothing and kills packs, Jason X and even new music!

I can't speak for the rest of you, but I know I've suddenly become a much better player now that a lot of new folks have come on board ... lol I used to just kind of give up once Jason locked on to me. Lately I've had my moments where I've been an all-star. Led Jason on a chase from one end of Pinehurst to the other to run out the clock with AJ once, and another time successfully evaded him for 3-4 minutes with an out of stamina Eric. Even I could see the mistakes I was making along the way, but they didn't pick up on them. Afterward, the newbies were giving me props in the lobby for a good run, which it was, but all I could do was shrug my shoulders and say, "Aw shucks, guys."

Right! I hate teamers, don't care what their lvl is really. Low lvls, annoy me. But, high lvl teamers must die in glorious fashion for the League of the recently deceased. My best one was pretty similar to your example, but there was a lvl 11 Tiffany who had just bought the game 4 days earlier with my Tommy in a QP. "Why are they doing this?" She asked. "Because they're asshole, basement dwellers who thrive from other players misery." I said. One was driving the two seater, he ran me over with the car I fixed and gave to him... Unfortunately, for him and his girlfriend Jason. I returned as Tommy because the rest of the lobby left. So I jumped in Tiffany's cabin and told her when I get in the car to run and get in quickly. So, I went out the back window and snuck up behind Jason to stun him. Then took off to the next cabin, where the two seater could follow. I was all over the place, zig zagging around to draw him in then jumped through a window as he crashed into the cabin. He backed up, then jumped out. When I was in the lobby I had noticed he was carrying a trap, and had caught two others for Jason to kill. So I took a chance, and he obliged. He was setting a trap outside the only open window on that side when I run out the back door, jumped in the car and ran him over. He quit immediately, and his buddy Jason was pissed! Calling me trash, saying I would get banned as I laughed. Drove right by him, he morphed badly giving Tiff the chance she needed and we were off. "Let's get out of here." She said. "Fuck that! You got Tommy Jarvis in the car with you, and we're killing this creep!" And we did, he almost quit out before we finished but wasn't fast enough so she got her first kill! Welcome to Friday the 13th the game, lol! Thank you! I've been max lvl for so long, it's more exciting for me to help new players and make sure they're having fun at this point.

1.) Yes, but every time I stop for a beggar it always ends badly for everyone in the car. 2.) Fortunately, I haven't had to run anyone over yet, I don't want the loss of points for betrayal. 3.) Yes. Unless Tommy and sweater girl are around to chase him away you are not stopping Jason long enough to get the car up and running. Better to try and lead him away and come back later. 4.) I will stop at the exit for anyone who wants to escape. If the other counselors are just bullying Jason then I just leave. That's how I earned my "Chad is a dick" trophy. 5.) Yep, I immediately install any car part I find at the start of the match. 6.) Yes 7.) No, I have been pushed out by two Vanessas after repairing it though. 8.) Kinda, but I don't cry about it. 9.) No, I work on whatever is closest first. If I have the keys I prefer the two seater. Less crushing weight of responsibility when driving. 10.) If I have a weapon I will try to free the driver, who is usually Jason's target. I bolt if I have nothing, and I won't hang around if it's obvious that car isn't going to be moving anytime soon. Nice thing about the PS4 is you can hit the share button after the match and capture the last game played. I started doing this more often whenever I see a strange glitch or have a really exciting round of play.

Be positive. If they get to do Single Player Challenges again, you'll probably get to run Reggie over with the tractor or something, like Jenny getting hung in the Higgins Barn.?

Not every counselor in the game is gonna run medic. You’re making it seem as though most of your games it is 7 counselors with hypochondriac and medic. Just not gonna happen often.

I don't mean to be rude but i really wish people would stop telling me to play offline. If i wanted to play offline against a bunch of bots with super really bad AI, (have you seen these bots even on hard mode)? Then i wouldn't be interested in a multi player game. Secondly trying to get a bunch of people together all at the same time, that have lives and schedules isn't an easy thing to do.. Lastly I get everyone have games they prefer over others. Honestly saying dbd is a waste of money can just as easily be said about this one.. Trust me this game although being very fun has far more flaws in it from the little time i've been playing it. In fact the many friends i do have all try and talk me out of playing this game. One of the biggest gripes they have is the very topic of discussion. I however disagree with them and the many and i do mean many bad reviews i get about this game. I streamed it for the entire 5 or 6 hours i played today. I have a pretty good viewer base and lost most of my viewers because they didn't find it enjoyable to watch. HoweverI find it very enjoyable and fun to play and disagree with their assessment. I do agree with them in one major thing. I don't think it's all that difficult to implement a game feature that allows players to choose what they would rather play in any game mode. Think about it why on earth would anyone want to play a game where if they play all day and their preferred choice is killer and they don't once get to play it the entire time they are playing. I get the fact you can set your preference to killer or survivor.. Doesn't do much good if you are in a lobby and 5 out of the 7 people all have their preference set as killer. As a very expeirenced gamer i bet my bottom dollar this game would draw far more players if you could actually choose with you can play. There is a reason Dbd has far more players and people streaming it than this one. With that said this is a suggestion form and i put in my suggestion. I really don't need people telling me the obvious that i can play offline. I also don't want to be negative or unfair comparing one game to the other but if the formula works, it works.. Let people choose what they would actually prefer to play without having to hours and hours without getting to do so. I don't really need to say anymore on the subject. My suggestion was for the dev's and they will either listen to their community or they won't. Have a nice day. thomas

I for one, do not even want Uber nor Grendal. For me, F13 died after part 6. So the thing that would complete the game for me would be the part 6 map.

Um no. Blaring music, kids screaming, smoke detectors chirping, buzzing, and chewing into the mic are not ways to ‘play’ the game. Your logic is completely backward. If you want to scream into a mic, eat chips, and play music, I have two words for you: Private Match. Smh

This is me. I've suddenly become a decent and more confident driver of late by discovering that "pulsing" the accelerator button works a lot better than holding it down. But I'm still not good enough to go cruising around the map and through the woods to find people, especially without being able to call up a map to see where they are. If you're on the road and Jason isn't around, I'll try to stop. If you're there when the car gets started, I'll wait for you to get in. But for the most part I'm trying to get from Point A to Point B and not deviating from that course. Sorry for the double post. Forgot about the rules and was answering two different thoughts.

i really don't think it matters at all. it's seriously all coincidence. i've rolled two legendary perks at level 133 and they've both been crappier than the epic versions i had. yeah, the upside was a few percentage points higher than the legendary ones, but the downside was almost always significantly worse.

exactly. i'm usually not inclined to risk my escape for anyone... especially if i'm in a QP lobby. if that makes me a dick, so be it. last i checked, you don't get XP for trying to be a nice guy. i've been burned (head punched?) too many times waiting for people to get to the car while jason's in hot pursuit so if i see my chance to leave, i take it... even if it means driving out by myself in the 4-seater. i'd much rather the car be full, but if the options are me getting out solo or me dying or blowing a car escape because i decided to play robin hood, i'm fuckin' OUT and everyone else is on there own. sorry (but not really.)

I never saw the propeller for a long time when i first started playing. small item and was always tucked away on a shelf or table. The first time i saw one i remember being like oh shit so thats what the propeller looks like! Im usually pretty good at finding it now. flashlight on and look for the twinkle

One of the things that the devs loved to brag about before launch and beta was the windows doing incremental damage to counselors if they went through them after they were broken to curve 'looping'. Of course in hindsight with the perks, this has become mostly a point of irrelevancy with med, thick skin, etc. With two door cabins, its always been a tricky one for me. Most often, it could be argued to be easier to just bust down both doors because its less in the way as Jason. However since busted doors don't do ANY DAMAGE to counselors, all it does is give counselors more time to run from cabin to cabin and avoid broken windows. However if they have closed both sets of doors and/or locked them. If you only destroy one set of doors, you can potentially trap them inside unless they have a window close by. The problem is if they escape via the window, now you have to bust down the door, go around, burn a morph or a shift, etc. Its more time consuming. Over time, some people adopted the strategy to just leave doors wide open so they can't be used as traps against them and because they can close the door in Jason's face with ample time. Not everybody does this, as its mostly just people looking to hunt, troll or fuck around with Jason. Likewise there are Jason players who have also adopted the strategy of NOT destroying windows, forcing counselors to open them the slow way as a risk or just dive through them. What this amounts to is I wonder if busted doors should've dealt damage to counselors over time the same way windows do? This would've made the long winded, loopathon style gameplay become more risk/reward over time, especially for trolololol faster counselors whose sole purpose is the hunt or troll. If every cabin is destroyed, doors and windows alike. Every time you run inside a cabin, you take some kind of incremental damage. Say the leftover wood from the doorframes cuts the counselors over time, just like the shards of glass from the windows. I kinda wonder in hindsight if broken doors should've dealt the same kind of damage as broken windows? The perks still would've made this irrelevant probably, but I feel like it would've made cabins much more risk/reward if every avenue of escape could deal damage if they were broken?

Me either. I prefer to teach them the art of jumping windows/looping to avoid Jason. I did that as Adam last week for must’ve been 8 minutes until the round ended. She then got on the mic to tell me that I really lost because all I did was jump through windows. And that I was a child molester. lol.
