  1. I've had many problems with the Roy and Pinehurst Update.. so I would like to give my opinion on this. Yes, We can all agree that Jason is meant to be a pretty powerful entity and challenge to go against. But here's my problem. Remember before the update airedLIVE, when the Dev's put this in the Patch Notes? Reduced the number of Pocket Knives and Medical Sprays that can spawn per match At first, I was pretty fine with this change. I thought that maybe they were gonna remove maybe 2 or 3 pocket knives from the entire Camps as a whole, and I thought that it was a pretty balanced nerf for the counselors according to what they said. Now, when that update went LIVE with Roy (Part 5 Jason.) Words cannot describe how furious I was with the update. There's one fucking thing that pisses me off with the fucking devs, which is the fact that they never ever fucking clarify with any of the bullshit they say. How the absolute FUCK are you gonna put " Reduced the number of pocket knives that can spawn per match." But not " Tremendously Reduced the number of pocket knives that can spawn per match." This update pissed me off because now, finding a pocket knife is a fourth of the equivalency of finding a fucking Pamela Tape. Now with virtually no pocket knives in the match, how the hell do you expect me to survive the fucking game? There's rarely even anyone to help save people because a lot of people in this game are very uncoordinated and don't want to fucking work together. You even had the godamn nerves to give Jason a buff with the pocket knives, just to make me waste my stamina EVEN MORE because I fear Roy and Part 6 Jason limping me with only 2 hits from pocket knives. Let's not forget that the infamous pre-nerfed Jason grab has ONCE AGAIN, made a debut in the game. I've even seen NEW PLAYERS as Jason get 8/8 multiple times against lobbies of players level 50 and above, that's pretty godamn terrible. This game is supposed to be BALANCED, not "Oh we favor this side-- Actually no we're fucking retarded, we like this side instead." I understand that not all people are good at Jason, so sometimes you have to resort to buffing Jason, but you don't have to fucking buff him to the point where he's virtually fucking all of us over. As a developer, your job is to make sure that both partiesare happy at the end of the day. Dead By Daylight recently made a mistake, which is buffing the survivors to the point where using skill isn't present anymore. Now when a fucking Nurse or Hag or Trapper picks someone up when they're on the pallet, they can instantly stun them and not have to time it perfectly, which removes skill from the game; They also did the same with Flashlight Saves too. My message to the developers of Gun Media and Illfonic of Friday The 13th: The Game, is: Fix your godamn game, and get your shit together. You need to really wake the fuck up and really think about how other players will react based on the poor decisions that you so choose to make. Edit: It also appears that some players are reporting that all the counselors have a nerf to Stamina. This is one of the reasons why I almost always am exhausted as Deborah... What a fucking shame Gun Media... -Qcici
  2. So , we all know that the spawns of pocket knives and med sprays will be less. And we all know that random players will pick them all and will use them on Jason. So , Why don't we use wrenches and/or axes to disarm traps? But only 10/10 characters will be able to disarm traps and the weapon's durability will be lowered if used to disarm a trap. This requires for Jason to take a look on their map more frequent , and requires counselors to not use every weapon they find and break them on Jason.
  3. So; there was already a patch to give Jason more knives. Though, I believe there could be a better balance. There are already multiple knives scattered around the map, and this is quite good enough. Though, I believe that the animation for grabbing the knives as Jason is a bit too slow. I find that I've been avoiding them, as it would just take too much time when I already know where a councellor is. I think the same thing goes for when Jason gets stabbed with a pocket knife. The animation is too slow, and I think it shouldn't take him as long to pull it out. Maybe a better balance would be a slight stamina increase to a councellor when they get out of his grasp. It would make it a little more fast paced, and remove the frustration of just sitting and waiting for him to pull it out; without being able to do anything.
  4. Let me start off by saying I love this game. It’s a fun game. But there’s a lot of BS that goes on with the game and a lot of stuff that’s broken that makes the entire experience frustrating and honestly makes me want to just delete it a lot of the time. But if the devs can put a little more work into fixing what’s broken this could be a very successful and long lived game. Firstly I’m glad to hear the recent news that the devs are fixing Jason. It’s much needed. One night myself and a couple of buddies killed Jason 11 times. That’s right 11. So Jason getting the TLC he needs is a great move. Next thing the devs need to do is add host migration. This needs to be done for a number of reasons. I can’t count the amount of times the host in a quick play match has threatened to quit if Jason kills him. It’s a pretty chickenshit move that happens way too often. Adding host migration would put a stop to that kind of player behavior. It would also help in the cases where the host legitimately loses their connection or game crashes. Speaking of, fix the game crash problem. It happens to either myself or the people I play with a couple of times every day. Fix matchmaking. It takes way too long to be able to find a lobby. There’s gotta be a solution for this problem. Also it wouldn’t hurt to add an option to kick a player. There’s too many times where I’ve played with people that do stuff to intentionally screw over the other counselors like place counselor traps below an open window inside a cabin. Or intentionally hold onto the fuse or keys to prevent other counselors from escaping. Or the worst offense in my eyes, work with Jason and rat out other players. We should have the option to kick these guys and remove them from a lobby. Another thing to maybe look at is the amount of pocket knives that spawn. In my opinion there are way too many. Upping the amount of pocket knives needed to happen but I think they overdid it. It’s caused a lot of Jason’s to pretty much just slash now.
  5. So , we all know that pocket knives are everywhere. What about a make a mini game then? When Jason grabs his first counselor , if the counselor has a pocket knife , he or she stabs it without doing anything. But Jason becomes aware and expecting that all counselors must have a pocket knife and starts grabs more strong , making it for counselors harder to break out from a grab even with a pocket knife. The mini game's speed is based how breaking out from Jason now. You must be calm and strong to escape from the grasp. Jasons with more grip strength (Part 3, 7) will make it even harder for counselors to escape from him. Non-grip strength Jasons will get this ability while Rage is active. Part 8 Jason has negative grip strength , so he will slash more strong while in Rage.
  6. Do you think if jasons grab did a little damage to counselors it would help gamplay since the pocket knife and med spray increase ?
  7. So as a Jason player. There is nothing more frustrating then coming across that one counselor that has 3 pocket knives in their inventory or the 2 counselors that have 2 pocket knives each. Suddenly you feel like the entire team of counselors has them and you have to slash everyone to death with broken melee mechanics. As a counselor player, having those pocket knives certainly makes you feel more carefree about getting close to Jason, especially with all the nerfs and bugs Jason suffers from lately. You feel invincible because even if he somehow grabs you, a pocket knife will be immediately used. My idea is very similar to the old 'making grab a skill check' event, but instead of grab being a skill check event. Lets make the pocket knife itself a skill check event each and every time. I was thinking once again to base this off of stats that don't matter nearly as much as they should, like composure and strength. For example High Strength Counselors - Less Skill Checks High Composure Counselors - Slower Skill Checks Low Strength Counselors - More Skill Checks Low Composure Characters - Faster Skill Checks So basically its the same idea of grab being tied to a skill check event, only instead of it being grab. Its being tied to the pocket knife. Characters with good composure or strength would have it easier and counselors with bad composure or strength would have it much harder. More Rules For Balance - You are allowed 2 fails on the skill check - If you fail the 3rd skill check, the knife breaks and Jason gets to perform a grab kill UNLESS you obviously escape via tapping out of his grip like normal - If you have more than one pocket knife, it DOES NOT MATTER. You can only use one pocket knife and if it breaks, you have no time to use another one unless you escape the grab and Jason grabs you again. If you use one pocket knife, you either pass the skill check and stab out of Jason or you fail and he gets to grab kill you. This idea overall would make pocket knives as rewarding as they are for counselor, but without the simplistic 'grab and be set free' mechanic as seen now.
  8. I'm certain these have all been mentioned in other threads and I apologize in advance if I've missed these threads as I didn't feel like checking through each and every one posted. But these are my personal suggestions for changes: 1. A reporting system for players on console that could include a "create a clip" option if you're in spectator mode. There have been so many instances where I've wanted to report people attempting to or successfully exploiting map glitches or someone purposefully leading Jason directly to other counselors. Obviously, this won't stop someone that could be in party chat calling out locations of counselors if they're dead and spectating as well or not walking Jason directly towards a counselor, but there have been many times I've encountered a counselor sticking by Jason's side as they lead them to others. 2. A reporting system on consoles in general that might have safety measures implemented so it cannot be abused.. such as not allowing a single account to report another more than once. 3. I have seen this mentioned and commented on other threads suggesting a "vote to kick" feature. This would be very handy, especially if made so the vote cannot occur until after the round is over so it wouldn't be abused to just kick Jason and receive free survival XP. 4. Something i haven't seen suggested yet- I have pretty trashy internet. Not bad enough that it affects me playing in other lobbies where the host has more adequate internet, but bad enough that I'd rather NOT be made a host of a lobby when I'm trying to find a match to play in. I'd love the option to opt out of hosting a lobby. I feel like this could make it easier to find lobbies with open spaces rather than being put in a lobby alone where I am host... 5 times in a row. I understand it could make my matchmaking experience take longer, but I'd be willing for that wait in order to avoid having to re-queue every time I need to close a lobby where I am made host.
