  1. How can you have a game that requires cooperation but not have a way for people to communicate? I know, the emotes are coming, but unless they are coming over braile over the walkie talkie, they are almost useless. Every 10th game am I able to communicate with the team. Most people have mute players on because they are sick of being drowned out by people screaming Fuck America, or being laughed at as the chat is filled with Russian. This sort of environment only seeks to further divide player base by race and nationality, as assume speakers of other languages must feel when they are stuck in-game with only English speaking players. We need regional servers. Most people I know that have paid money for this game, do not play anymore for these very reasons. I feel like I have been swindled, and cannot justify paying for any DLC until the primary tool of the game i.e. communication, is fixed.
  2. I know that some people have requested instructions on how to change the language back to English due to poor translation, hard to read fonts, etc... Here are some instructions on how to change your language settings across all platforms. With Steam, you can change the settings for just Friday the 13th: The Game, or the entire interface. On consoles, it looks like the only way to do it is to change your console language to English. Of course, you can always go back in and change it back, if you prefer, for other games. I hope this helps everyone who has been asking, or is curious about how to do it. PC/Steam To change language settings for Steam Interface: Log into your Steam account Click on "Steam" in the top menu bar (this is in the very upper left of Steam on Windows, or in the menu bar above Steam on OSX) Go to the Settings option ("Preferences on" OSX) Go to the Interface tab Select the language you wish to use from the drop-down menu Click OK and then select the option to Restart Steam Once Steam restarts, you will be able to use Steam and Valve games in the language which you selected. If you have games installed that support the language you have selected, files for that language may need to be downloaded before you can play. To change language Game settings for Friday the 13th: The Game: Right Click on Friday the 13th: The Game in your Steam Library Click Properties Click Set Launch Options -culture= *English = en *French = fr *Italian = it *German = de *Spanish = es *Portuguese = pt XBOXOne Press the menu key of the controller. Go to Settings > System Go to the Location section and select "Language & location". Use the "Language" menu to make your selection. PS4 Go to Settings Go to Language- Select Language & Location Select your language from the drop down menu.
  3. How can i change the language of the game? The russian localization and the font are so bad, i want to play on english language. My steam is on english language, there's no Language tab in game's properties. Windows is on russian lang
  4. Because of where I live if I play quick match I am matched with purely Chinese/Mandarin speakers, which as an English speaker renders the game unplayable for me as communication is so important and a massive part of the fun. Now the only way I can get into a match with people who speak my language is to buddy up with someone in Europe/America and hit quick match lobbys until we get a good one. Or try to put a full private match together which is time consuming for someone who just wants to hit a few games after work in the evening. There really should have been a language filter from the beginning. But I'm putting here again because I've spent money on the game and wont be able to properly play it until a language preference is put in.
  5. As the title says, I think this game would be better if there's a language filter or some sort because I'm tired of having lobbies full of rude Chinese players who yell at me for talking in English. Imagine this: Players need to put their spoken language preference so that the English speaking players would be put on the same lobby as the other English speaking players and etc. If that worked, then both parties would have a better game immersion without language barriers.
  6. Hey, I find matchmaking laking at the moment, played twice already and twice was in group with russians only and I don't understand their language at all. That totally kills the game, since you can't communicate with other players. I think you should add option to select preffered language and match people with the same preferences, otherwise people won't be able to communicate which is important for this kind of game.
