  1. So, throughout this forum, and about the game, I know these things. 1.) Mitch and Jenny's composure stat is pointless, as that's their best stat, which makes them objectively bad. 2.) Vanessa and Chad are the best characters, from what I've heard of at least. 3.) Escape Artist and Adrenaline Rush, as well as Heavy Mover are all shit perk, and the Combat Stance is generally useless to most. I just hope that I can try to make a change by making them better in a sense. But first, if you want to know who I am (which I'm sure you don't) I'm a new user called Vialigo who...doesn't play the game. Shocking I know. But I know the game, good enough to know what I'd have to do if I was given the controller (and die first). Anyways, with that out the way, here are my opinions (which, on the internet, are quite really something to have). So, composure is actually a bad and pointless stat. Sure it's good for not screaming or panicking, but that's about it. It doesn't affect your running (other then making you stumble), it doesn't affect your repairing, it doesn't affect your fighting, it's just pointless. Even if it does make your minimap and your inventory invisible, you should know the correct order buttons to be pressed in order to get a measely pocket knife out and stab Jason in the neck. As a result, I was disappointed about how awful this stat was gameplay wise. Which is why Mitch and Jenny are objectively low-tier characters. So, I've decided why not make the composure stat better. Composure while running: If you were running, and Jason so happens to appear in front of you, then normally you'd do something like run backwards away from him or use fireworks or swing at him wiht your weapon. Well, if you have a composure stat of, say, 5, then your character then staggers backwards or sideways similar to if they were to see Pamela or a dead counselor. If it's even lower then that, then you'd have to stagger backwards, trip and fall, and either crawl backwards for a second before picking yourself up and running. And if it's really a composure stat of 1 or 2, then your character would then stagger, fall, but take about 3-5 seconds of crawling backwords before getting up to run. Composure while repairing: When Jason approches you while you repair something (preferrably from shifting), the screen goes to static and when it comes back, it changes your mini-game and adds more skill checks when he's near you, the amount of skill-checks you get are reduced by how high your composure is. Which means if you were Deborah or Kenny with 5 composure, you'd normally have like 2-3 skill checks, but when Jason's near you, 2 more pop up and it makes your mini-game longer (since it makes it slower. This can be fixed with Tinkerer, however, but there are still the skill checks). It's a way to have it so that you have to be careful about when you can repair something like the car or the boat. This is especially annoying if you were to have someone like Eric trying to fix the phone the moment Jason shows up, and also makes characters like Adam and AJ more useful as repair-ers. This also makes it so that it would be more harder to repair as characters like Brandon or Tiffany. Composure while fighting: Obviously the most realistic one to be possible, but it isn't as of now. Tbh, your composure stat really doesn't mean much while fighting other then getting rid of your mini-,map and your item menu. But, say if you were one to actually use combat stance, well, if your character has low composure, then their fighting stance would turn into a "sissy stance", as the counselor you're using then goes into a stance where they're putting their weapon in front of them to guard them, noticeably shaking, as they yell things like, "Stay away!" or, "Don't touch me!". When you're in this "sissy stance", your swings are like the ones from the combat stance, only with less range and less damage, but your hits are quicker. This could be easily patched up by perks that practically negate these debuffs, but as soon as your fear level is as high as it can go, your combat stance and your sissy stance is unuseable. Composure for other things: As we all know it, when the power goes down, your character starts mumbling to themselves loud enough so that Jason can hear, which is very bad if you were someone like AJ or Mitch. Well, when you have a high composure stat, the only thing that your counselor would be doing is have a delayed time when doing things like getting items or picking up weapons/a trap. Though, if you were to have a low composure stat, then you'd scream, mumble, stumble a lot, and have delayed time when picking things up. And also, when you get grabbed by Jason, you'd just have a mini-game where you spam your buttons to free yourself, but it's barely helpful as Jasons tend to kill high-composure counselors quick. Well, when Jason goes into a grab kill animation, if you were someone like Tiffany, then you'd just get killed, rip, gg, no re. But if you were someone like Chad (high luck, no composure) or AJ (high composure no luck), then you'd have a bit of a chance of unlocking this mini-game where you can dodge Jason's killing-blow with a QTE (quick time event), but it's still a bit hard as you don't have both stats to compensate.. And finally, if you were Jenny, then you'd have an almost guaranteed of unlocking the mini-game, and an easy time of completing it. Oh yeah, and the perks, those three perks are really pointless. Seeing as how you won't get out of Jason's grab without a pocket knife, if the devs were not to change the composure stat, then the least they could do is fix these perks. For example, Escape Artist could work like a free pocket knife without the item that procs more often depending on it's rarity and the counselor's Skill + Luck stat. Adrenaline Rush can add onto this, so that if the Escape Artist doesn't proc, you'd still have a high chance of getting out of his grabs without a pocket knife with the perk on, as it makes the bar go even faster the more you mash and with the perk on, along with the Stamina boost...or just do the simple fix and make them work along with Pocket Knives. Lastly, Heavy Mover is such a laughing-stock, the only thing I could think of to make it useable is to make it so that you move the barricade faster along with making the door sturdier. That's all I have for today. Be sure to comment and give your opinion on my ideas. I'm fully open to discussion. (God that sounds like a YouTuber outro.)
  2. Jenny Myers is a tank for composure. I currently have equipped the Night Owl perk for 58% darkness resistance. Controlled breathing - 22% (faster composure increase while hiding) And Ice Cold - 49% (reduction of fear of dead bodies) For some reason I think Ice Cold may not be that good. Is there any sources of how much fear rises from seeing a dead body? Lone Wolf or Nerves Of Steel are interesting choices. Nerves of Steel is overall fear resistance right?
  3. I find it common that people underrate composure. They value stealth much much more, when they go hand in hand. Jason sees you more easily with sense if you're scared. If you're at maximum fear, you will blink red anywhere on the map regardless if you're hiding or not. And if you're hiding & scared, your character will give up their position and get killed if Jason walks by. I always play as Jenny Myers, because she's meant to be the final girl. She has max composure, and it takes a while to get her to maximum fear. If people bring Jason to my house, all I have to do is hide under a bed and wait till they kill them. Jason usually doesn't detect me in the house, so he leaves after that, and I go back to doing what I was doing.
  4. I used to only play as AJ like my whole Fri13 career till level 101 but I'm starting to warm up to Jenny Myers! I played her when I first started the game as AJ was locked. I always noticed those tight jeans she wears & cant wait to buy her bikini. I like that she has 10 composure & 8 Luck which makes her a pretty good fighter. The only downside is trying to repair things, I hope I can find an epic Tinker & maybe that might help someday. In this video, lucky Jenny finds a Pamela tape! This is the third cassette I've found so far. Somehow I got the boat fixed & I was out of there.
  5. Is it just me or do you think that jenny's intelligence should be higher? She does not seem like the stupid kind and i think 2/10 is way to low for her. She should at least be average in that aspect. I hope the devs end up tweaking her a bit. I would not mind her composure going down for that. She should deff be a 5/6 in my opinion. Not many like playing as her in matches i see and i do not mind that because i actually stand out lol, she has great stamina and luck you just have to know how to use her combined with great perks the only thing that bothers me is that intelligence, Anyone else?
  6. So its been bothering me now for a while and even if its not addressed immediately I would prefer its something for the future at least. Jenny looks so off. Chris Higgins in the movie looked fine and Jenny's concept for the game looked perfect, what happened to her actual in game model however? All the characters feel about right except for Jenny, I'd say Chad is probably a little off but nowhere as bad as Jenny. Jenny doesn't look like a final girl on the head at all. She seems a little to tame/boring for it unlike Chris or her concept. Her hair looks awful in the game with such a weird style and her face looks strange other than the expressions and it just doesn't fit her. The makeup also seems unfitting for her trope, especially with the hair to me at least. Is there any chance that in the future Jenny could be remade on the upper body because she is the only character in this game that just looks horrid. When I first saw her and her move counterpart I was so excited but Jenny in the game looks awful and definitely the worst of the cast. For me to the point I just don't want to play her. Which saddens me because I love Tiffany and Deborah and Jenny was going to be a part of my favourites but she just looks so weird. I particularly just cant get over how strange her hair looks. Its not a matter of quality etc, its simply that her look doesn't fit or work together in the slightest. In Jenny's main look she should be much more like this: But she doesn't look half as vibrant or anywhere as good at all. Its a completely different aesthetic. On the other hand assuming they wouldn't change her face how about fixing her alone? Jenny's current hair just doesn't fit and they wish to keep the current look on her face then would this hair just not fit much better? "Girl Next Door" has the hair I indicate of course, as is Jenny's trope. One thing is for sure, either her face and hair need to change or just her hair. Jenny looks very awkward to me and is the only character who seems so wrongly done. I would like them to give her the appearance she has in the concept but if they don't wish to the hair change would suffice. Of course this is personal and is minor and should be addressed later, but I cant help but notice how much Jenny sticks out looking off in almost everyway with the most questionable hairstyle too.
  7. So I was told by the support team to bring this here. Unlike, the other post about Jason's grab ability, I think the shift grab is an important part of the game but should be used more as a counter for Jason against faster characters that can cover more ground. Currently it's just another disadvantage for the slower characters in the game. That's because composure is currently a useless stat. When I play as Jason I see Jenny light up like a Christmas tree right off the bat just as easily as anyone else. Also, before the patch on Xbox, I could break free with her almost once a match w/o a pocket knife. Since the patch I haven't been able to do it once. On the flip side, this mitigates having grip strength as a strength or weakness for Jason as well. On top of that, they reduced the number of pocket knives spawning each round, and we already have to burn them to counter traps. If that wasn't enough, we are all button mashing our fingers till they bleed with nothing to show for it. I already hate when games make me do this, but dying every time regardless, even with a 10 compsure and in the very early game, compounds that frustration. This feature should be replaced by a very fast minigame similar to kickoffs and field goals in Madden. Just a bar with a redzone inside of it, the size of which is determined by the counselor's composure/fear level + Jason's grip strength. Perhaps stamina and injury could be included in the formula as well. This minigame should range from very simple to nearly impossible based on this formula. I know I'm not the only one that hates button mashing. If I play a quickmatch with a bunch of low level players, I'll usually see a decent amount of Jennys because they haven't unlocked other characters yet and haven't realized how useless composure is. If I am in a private match with a bunch of regulars it's rare anyone above lvl 20 is using her. That's because they have no incentive to. Compare that with AJ. Almost every private lobby will have 2-3 of her. Why? Because she is equal to or better than Jenny in every category that matters. The only stats she gives up to Jenny are composure and luck. Jenny can't run, she can't fix things, she can't fight, and eben though she should be able to hide, she can't do that either. On top of that, she ties Eric for being the slowest character in the game, making it super easy to shift grab her. Isn't she supposed to represent the girl that survive? She should be a pain in the ass for Jason to kill then. Let that be her specialty. If the shift grab is a counter to faster characters, slower and more composed characters should have a counter to that, which would be easier break aways early in the game. Jason could counter with hack and slash method, the player could counter with the perks that give her two uses of med spray, start with a medspray, and thick skin. This would force Jason to be more strategic about how and when to go in for the kill. Having to really work hard to drive that fear up first. Before anyone predictably mentions that "Jason is supposed to be op" please take notice that I did not advocate changing Jason at all. I know the dev's philosophy regarding that too, and agree with it. This issue is about balancing counselor with counselor so thay players have an incentive to play each character. I hope I've explained that well.
  8. I am just giving feedback on a character that I hope gets some improvement before the launch of the game. Jenny Myers is deemed the Girl Next Door, in Friday The 13th the girl next door is usually Jason's biggest rival. Aside from Tommy Jarvis, Freddy Krueger (He doesn't really count) and maybe Tina from part 7...Chris Higgins was Jason's biggest rival. I bring up Chris Higgins because any Friday fan can see that Jenny Myers is clearly based off of Chris from part 3. I feel the Girl Next Door she be the best all around player to pick in the game if your playing as a counselor. I think the composure and stealth is set just right with Jenny but she seriously lacks in stamina and speed. I been watching the streams and it seems that if Jason spots her she is more then likely going to die just like that. She is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy to slow and loses stamina way to quickly. I hope either her stamina, speed or both gets fixed before this. I feel that the girl next door should not be a character that Jason can just take out in seconds, especially if he spawns in the same area at the start of the game. Just keep this in mind, Chris Higgins (Jenny Myers) is one of the few character's that really survived Jason by herself. Only the small distraction from Ali helped her. Other then that most of all the Friday characters had another character around to help them for a longer period then Chris did. I loved the beta but this is one thing I hope you take into serious consideration and fix. The Girl Next Door should be the best all around player in the game in my opinion.
