  1. I'am in no means an experienced player. I'am a level 50+ casual player that loves the game in the state it was when i first played it (november 17) and i still like it. But there are several people here, that have mastered the skills to be really good Jasons and or counselors. Some people here start the game and know after 20 minutes what has been patched and what is broken still or has been broken by the patch. These are important skills for a game and for ironing out bugs and glitches. Even though i know that it isn't easy to implement it - what do you think about the idea to help gunmedia/illfonic out and get the possibility to play a beta of the newest patched version so you can communicate with illfonic to tell them what needs to be done. In my opinion it would be a win-win situation for the players and the developers alike.
  2. Been grinding this morning to hit 125 so I can unlock the 2nd new kill. A few games ago I was grabbed by Jason, as the 2nd to last one alive, AFTER GETTING TO THE POLICE! He pulled me out, killed me, at which point my corpse slide across the ground and out through the exit. He went on to kill the final counselor and the game was broken. No ability to spectate. Camera was fixed on Jason. Timer was gone. Everyone had to leave. I just know was slashed to death. Trying to escape in the car and Jason stopped it. I got out, started running, and Jason stayed at the car slashing. It even registered the sound effect of him hitting the car. BUT I WAS TAKING THE DAMAGE! He was standing on the road while I was at a cabin coming apart. I am seriously so sick of game determining bullshit bugs. When is this ever getting fixed? Seriously! Please, share your best post-patch bug deaths.
  3. So you can't play offline on pc, because each time I try playing against bots without internet connection the game gives me a fatal error, in any configuration, and, in any map... I tried restarting the game and playing it with Steam set to offline mode, same error, I tried unplugging my ethernet cable, same error. The only way I could play against bots truly OFFLINE was by starting an offline bot game mode with internet, and then unplugging the ethernet cable.
  4. So i got this yesterday had been looking forward to picking this up since a long time finally got it. I downloaded in hopes of getting to play it an hour later of download but the game just won't start I've tried all the solutions. Unreal engine 4 (pre req setup) that is in the game folder they are installed game doesn't work. Visual c++ 2015 installed All i keep getting is this stupid fatal error I've attached it's image as well. Also if i run the game directly it starts but it requires steam to be online but steam is running ( i start it though the game folder) i've also emailed you guys but haven't gotten any response I really want to try this so any help will be appreciated.
  5. so i managed to get every achievement in the game.but now i cannot play with my game stalling then crashing during every single game .nothing fixes it..and i heard among the forums this was do to the fact i have all achievements and that this was the factor on why i cannot play.Please gun media fix this and include it in the next patch i do not wanna miss out on all the new stuff coming with new level cap.this happens during any type of animation like using health spray,breaking down doors,barricading doors,fixing boxes,basically anything related to achievements progression..i can only pray that this is fixed by next patch or is currently included in the patch(please let it be) - thank you for reading(hopefully by someone at gun media or illfonic

To anyone here who is still new to the game, and wants to know how to fix the Fatal Error on the beginning of the introduction to the game, make sure you install everything in the folders around for the game, even the error of launching the game. No need for you to change your Administration, into a Standard user, because it has nothing to do with the type of user, just follow the steps given, and I hope this works for you. Here are the steps of what you need to do: Make sure to Install Easy Anti-Cheat for Friday The 13th Game for the launching of the game - Go to where you installed Steam folder. - On the steam folder, go to steamapps folder, then go to common folder, and go to F13Game folder. - Go to EasyAnti-Cheat and install the setup. Make sure you install the UE4, so that you would not get a Fatal Error for the Online Session Interface - Go to Steam Folder. - Go to steamapps folder. - Go to common folder. - Go to F13Game folder. - Go to Engine folder. - Go to Extras, and open the Redist folder, and then en-usa folder. - Install the Setup of UE4. If there is anything else missing or an error that need to be fixed, do let me know and I will add it down for ya.
  7. 10.25.17 PATCH FEEDBACK: A Now-Broken, Counselor-Favored Mess That We Must Fix Intro As a person who has over 400 Hrs. in this game and has played it from launch, I have genuinely enjoyed this game, and want it to stay that way. We have a problem; The number and severity of complaints coming from the preferred-counselors is causing Jason to be weakened such that the game is breaking. The movies feature 1-2 survivors per movie and the game should average that. An F13 game that cares enough about the movies to base the levels on blueprints of buildings from the sets would be remiss to neglect on kill count similarity. Survival should be earned and valued. There are too many others, however, who just want counselor survival to be too easy, and in doing so, are not only defeating the purpose of the game (survival horror), but are breaking it and creating an environment where they themselves (human nature) will soon become bored and leave it all together as there will be no challenge left for them. This cannot be allowed to happen. We must push back against this, especially we preferred-Jason's, as this is becoming a pattern that is genuinely ruining the enjoyment of the game for too many preferred-Jasons. First it was - Jason can no longer block flare guns and firecrackers (Shotguns and bear traps I can understand) Then it was - Jason can no longer use combat stance on doors without issue as there is now a hit-detection issue with doors that is still present and has been since the small maps patch where Jason hits the top of the threshold to no effect on the door. (Using the standard animation forces Jason to leave himself vulnerable to a stun once the door breaks) Now it's - Traps are useless as they can be beaten with a single pocket knife, and can no longer alert Jason as multiple traps is not an option, counselors know where everything is located except for spawn, and Jason gets NO buffs to compensate for any of this. Jason is being made weaker and weaker and it absolutely must stop. Sometimes I think that these incessant nerfs are trial balloons being sent just to see how much we Jasons will take before there's push back; Well I'm there. Before donning your hockey mask and performing the Head Punch on me, please hear me out as I come with solutions to many of the problems I am seeing in a game I am enjoying less over time, but really want to stay in love with. Again, let's keep it civil so this thread doesn't get closed. 1. Counselors leaving/suiciding not FULLY solved yet Giving Jason credit at the beginning of the kill is a step in the right direction, but it's not enough: A. Counselors can and still do leave when being grabbed but BEFORE execution, and even when being simply pursued. Evidence: 1. Quitting During Grab 2. Quitting Before Grab During Slash (Ignore Podcast Audio) B. Counselors jump out of second story windows to suicide and cost Jason the kill. C. Counselors repeatedly cross broken glass windows to suicide and cost Jason the kill. Suggested Possible Solution(s): 1. Give Jason credit for a kill if/when someone leaves the match while Jason is within Music range, irrespective of stalk silence, grab or execution. 2. Make it so jumping out of second story windows and climbing over broken window ledges reduces your health, even to the minimum, but it will not kill you, making so that those who try to suicide are merely gimping themselves and making themselves easy prey. 3. Program the "Leave Match" option with an irreversible 20-second countdown timer where the counselor can no longer move, allowing Jason to finish killing the counselor if a person tries to quit. 4. Tag counselors with a 30 minute cool down for leaving a match with Jason within Music range. Increase the cooldown by 30 minutes for each subsequent quit within a 1 week period for a maximum for 24 hours of cool down if need be. 2. Trap Radius Renders Jason Traps Almost Useless A. Jason can no longer properly protect objectives or receive alerts. This works in synergy with visible items to make Jason's job too much harder without any compensating buff for Jason. Have a look: Trap Issues Suggested Possible Solution(s): Restore previous trap function. Simple as that. 3. Grab Distance Was Problematic Enough with Lag Issues A. Period. As it was, skilled counselors were able to stay out of the range of both weapon slashes (Dear everyone, stop complaining about slashing, period.) and grabs. Skilled counselors could kite a Jason for days as it was. Bad ping and connection issues naturally nurf grab as it is. I've missed counselors after two and three grab attempts if the ping is high enough. Suggested Possible Solution(s): Reset full grab distance, at least until dedicated servers are in place. 4. Change Item Visibility on Maps A. This is far too powerful and easy as it is. Even as a counselor I feel as though I am cheating, and I've noticed myself and others being far more reckless than before and still surviving. The first match, we got both cars started very quickly and everyone escaped. The match even ended when I spawned back in as Tommy because there was no one to save. This was a private match, the Jason was frustrated, and we didn't blame him. Consider doing one or a combination of the following. Suggested Possible Solution(s): 1. Getting rid of it all together, thus forcing counselors to communicate as before. Don't rage, it's makes the game much more immersive. 2. Counselors with fear level below X amount can see items on their minimap and/or large map however, as fear increases, items further from the counselor either begin to fade away and/or disappear all together as the counselor loses track as he/she panics more. Item visibility comes back somewhat if fear is decreased. This would make Composure and related perks more relevant. 3. Only counselors with walkie talkies can see items (simulates communication). Can be used in conjunction with #2 where fear screws with visibility even with walkie talkie. Jarvis would naturally be able to see all items from the start as he spawns with a walkie and no fear. 4. Tommy Jarvis is the only person who can see all of the items while no one else can, by virtue of the fact that he is Tommy Jarvis. Limiting this ability to him only would enhance his status as a "Hero" class. Can be used in conjunction with #2 where fear screws with his item visibility. 5. Only items spawning back into the match from counselors who have left are visible. 6. Only items that haven't been picked up in 60 seconds or longer are visible. (Prevents trolls from hiding items) 5. Un Movie-Like Counselor Cockiness/Carelessness especially near Police exit. A. Counselors do not fear Jason like they do in the movies and even engage in a tactic called "bullying" where counselors can gang up and stun Jason in a chain. This cockiness is especially bad near the police exit where everyone decides they want to use up all of their guns, flare guns, and pocket knives on Jason for EXP. This is when Jason then becomes the punching bag as counselors get away anyway. Suggested Possible Solution(s): 1. When Jason is knocked on his back, allow him to build rage faster based on how many counselors are standing within 10 feet of his body, the more, the faster. Instead of tea bagging, counselors will want to stay away from Jason as they would in the movies. Jason would get pissed if he was being taunted. 2. When the police arrive, Jason gets Rage if he doesn't have it already. Jason would get pissed by police arrival. 3. In Rage, increase stun resistance and reduce stun time by a sensible percentage. 4. When Jason is knocked on his back, make it so there is a %chance (based on proximity to rage) he can quickly reach up and strangle-execute a counselor standing above him. Counselors will want to stay away from Jason as they would in the movies. 5. When Jason is stunned, make it so there is a %chance (based on proximity to rage) he can reach and grab a counselor standing near him, only to have the counselor in hand where normal rules apply. Counselors will want to stay away from Jason as they would in the movies. 6. As counselors build fear, their pocket knives have less of a chance to fire when being grabbed by Jason. This will stop counselors from letting Jason grab them near the police or for free EXP. 7. Bring back a modified, LIMITED, friendly-fire mechanic, for ONLY when Jason is nearby. (Hear me out). When Jason is within 20 feet, counselors can accidentally damage each other with weapons and must now be more careful when hitting Jason back-to-back as opposed to all at once. This will also bring back the need to aim carefully when shooting Jason if Jason is holding a counselor. The 20 feet proximity requirement is meant to protect counselors from team killing since there is no reason to be swinging a weapon if Jason isn't nearby. For those who are worried that this would be exploited for team killing,... it would require that someone work with Jason, which is a ban-able offense anyway; Record, report, ban. 6. Fast Paced Maps (Fast for everyone except Jason) A. 40% Smaller means faster objective completion for counselors. While there is less space for Jason to hunt players, there is less he can do about the faster objectives as abilities build at the same rate. It's not balanced for Jason. Suggested Possible Solution(s): Reduce the amount of time Jason's abilities are gained to compensate for this. I recommend by 10%-40% depending upon what would be most balanced according to an objective analysis, not whatever easy-button preferred-counselors want. Above all else, stop making Jason weaker. Know that for every counselor buff, there must be an equal and opposite Jason buff. This last patch is a doozie where counselors are stronger while Jason is weaker.
  8. Anyone getting this error message...was playing a game and it crashed with this error message. Hi everyone, I'm bothered with something in the game that should be added from the beginning, I mean not having the option to report players what makes the game a land without law, I also suggest that you put banishment to prevent players from going crazy during the match or when Jason is performing an execution, in addition to Jason losing points and number of deaths leaves the game boring and with few players, give m a time ban for example: dropped once (15 minutes), second time ( 30 minutes) third time (1 hour) and so on I further strongly suggest that when Jason picks up the monitor and presses the button to perform his death, the death already here for Jason's accountant is when he performs the execution, because you expect Jason to finish the execution so he gives him death! result: many weeping and idiot players get angry because they die and leave the game during jason's execution leaving Jason with no points so you should put the punctuation right when Jason presses the button to kill. Thank you for your attention and I hope the game improves.
  10. There is probably a thread somewhere but this is just a general issue I'm having and it's not specific to any one object in the game. If I'm opening a drawer, trying to call tommy, install gas or batter or fuse, open a door, hit jason, break down door as Jason..etc. If the game connection happens to spike while I do these things then my character will freeze in a position and be unable to move, glide around in that position, or be able to move but be locked on that task and be unable to do anything else. I know that the developers probably know of the issue and are hopefully working on it(things take time), just simply reporting my experiences. If specifics are needed I can give them. Thank you
  11. Let me know what you guys think of these ideas... 1. Rage quitting will be punished in some way, shape, or form. Quitting if Jason shift grabs you, quitting if you aren't Jason, etc. Quitting = time wait penalty 2. Jason no longer gets hit to the edge(possibly dies) of the map when he grabs someone outta the car by counselor weapons. 3. Idle Tommy Jarvis, Tommy stands there lifeless because someone who quit was randomly selected to be him. 4. Free swinging destroys windows again for Jason(in or out of combat stance). Jason being unable to free swing windows is lame as hell. Animation can be kept, have both options. 5. Teamers and obvious trolling is a bannable offense. No exceptions, if clear evidence is presented to developers, these types of players should be banned or suspended per offense. 6. Counselors can't body block any more, if a counselor is standing still, the moving counselor can move passed the counselor standing(body blocking). 7. Jason can pick up his unused traps and use them somewhere else. However traps that have been sprung already cannot be used again. 8. No more "return to quickmatch" Sometimes you are in a great lobby and everyone gets dispersed because of this. This is a bummer if you solo play alot and find a great lobby. 9. Jason grab kill animations are relatively the same length of time, we are all tired of "decapitation and asphyxiation" These are great kills but used way too much because how fast they are taking away the thrill of the other kills. Maybe a cap/cooldown on spamming the same grab kills? 10. Jason needs to be able to destroy tables and other landscape objects, running around a long table for 3 min chasing a Vanessa or Chad is just dumb. Couselors should be able to chop through locked doors(bathroom doors, lodge doors, lesser doors) as well, trolls will hide items in locked rooms and thus ruining the game. A locked door should take 5-8 hits to destroy, problems solved. This will make most of us happy I feel! Please consider these requests...lets all make this game the best it can be!

Just so we don't have 1000 duplicate new posts about every single bug, let's create one thread that lists all the bugs we have found(that can be verified) so it's easy for us and the devs to reference. Start listing them and I will update the thread as bugs are reported. 8/27/2017 Patch ACTIVE: - On Packanack small, the two middle rooms on the second floor have a door that is hidden in the wall. It can be opened and closed but it shows as just a plain wall instead of a door. - On Higgins Haven Small, their is a a shotgun which can not be picked up in the south end of the map in the new archery range. It shows as flashing but the player can not interact with it. - Items are currently not spawning correctly - Badges disappearing on PS4 and not updating(To fix this hard reset your console. Hold the power button down for 10 seconds and then turn it back on.) This is still a bug even though their is a work around since it is not functioning as intended. - Using Combat Stance on doors is inconsistent. Sometimes it registers the hits and sometimes it doesn't. - Tommy Jarvis will spawn in on the map as an NPC even though the player selected to control him left the game. - Bugzy, Adam and Lachappa still have Kenny's voice lines - Jason's animation sometimes breaks when attacking a door, power generator, or window. - Jason is able to kill counselors with a window throw before the counselor can use a pocket knife on him - Wood damage state art asset is displaying the name of what the texture is - Jason can still take damaged when stunned causing him to stay stunned as long as someone keeps hitting him. NEED MORE INFO/VERIFICATION/ONE TIME BUGS - Sense is inconsistent/might be bugged. (Needs further testing/more reports) - Car teleporting after starting (Need to see if it is every time or just a random bug) - Quickplay is still bugged on PS4(I am getting mixed reports where some say it works and others are having issues hence why it is in this area and not as active) FIXED: - PS4 users are experiencing server issues
  14. Disclaimer: I am excited about the new emotes, and smaller speed maps. I am excited and proud that the devs have and continue to add more content. I cannot wait for single player. I have 200+ Hrs in this game, am level 101, and have been passionate about it since I learned about it. That being said, dear developers, please, please, please, focus on fixing any/all bugs glitches and exploits before adding any new content. While the new content is appreciated, it's like adding new rooms to a house with a leaky roof. We have to prioritize. While there are more bugs than this, these are the ones I see the most: 1. Counselors making Jasons Traps useless by body blocking them. This is an exploit that needs fixing. 2. Perks that do not work when equipped. 3. Having the option of looting a map from a drawer even if you have one equipped as a perk. There are more, but fundamentally, I think the bugs need to be ironed out before further content is added.

I've noticed that only one of my perk slots work in game and with that I've searched and have found nothing to fix it (and if you want to know I play on pc) and these are all the things I've tried only using a single perk in one of each slot in there different matches with the perk that give you med spray and only the first one work I've tryied doing it in the lobby home screen everything and it still only works with the first one so if anyone has an idea or suggestions tell me (unlikely but if an moderator or someone higher up sees this and know there making a patch on this tell me!)
  17. Hi guys, I am writing this post because I want to complain about this game as I am very angry and I need to say what I think a relax. First of all, I think it's a good game and I have a lot of fun when I play it but I want to complain about other topic, The problem I have with this game is that developers have falied us, I pre-ordered the game not knowing what to expect, I trusted the company, I trusted this game was gonna be awesome but then the problems started to appear. When Fall 2016 was near, a delay was announced. At that moment, I didn't get angry, well, they delayed the game, but at least they were gonna add Tommy Jarvis and the single player mode which made me happy but then other "issues" appeared. The beta was only released for PC and it had a lot of problems , complained a lot because they couldn't play it, they delayed the phisic version of the game (moreover, they haven't said anything about it yet) they didn't release in Early 2017 as May isn't Early and Even though, they haven't said a word about the Cross-plataform which was supposed to be in the game. Well, as you can see, they had a lot of problems, yeah, I understand they are a Indie game, they don't have the same resources as a big company but the problem is that they have commited too much mistakes and this is starting to get annoying. When the game was released it was impossible to play, and now the game runs a little better but it is still having a lot of problems and, do you know another annoying thing? When they release an update they always release it later for Xbox One and I am sick of that since we have more problems than the rest of plataforms. The developers have disappointed us too many times and this is getting more and more tiring, I have lost my confidence with the company but this will affect them in a future because if the want to develop another game and they need the people to pre-order in order to get funds to release the game, the won't be able to develop it as the people will have lost their confidence too and they won't pre-order because they will think about this game and all the problems it has. Now some people will probably come to defend them, but this is my opinion and this is how I feel and anyone will change that. I know you will say "they are a small company, they are a indie game". Ok, and what about Dead By Daylight? It's an Indie game, and yeah, it has its problems like any game, but they are small problems but I have played it and I can't complain at all, it's totally playable. In addition to this, it has a better system to be the killer and it works, I hate Friday the 13th syste, it's horrible to wait a lot of matches to be Jason (and then when I am Jason it crashes). Well this is all I had to say, I hope they solve all the problems someday.
  18. 1. Grabbing a counselor as Jason who has a pocket knife in an area where you have to move around a bit to find room to do a kill. You move around but instead of the pocket knife triggering instantly to break the grab you get the option to initiate a kill. You push the button and the kill starts (sound only) and the counselor and Jason are separated. After the kill noises finish, or partially finish on a longer kill, Jason reacts to the pocket knife. The whole time as Jason you can do nothing because you have the surrounding field of view black fog indicating he is stunned. Counselor gets away. The thing is you don't know what is happening until the very end when you get the pocket knife reaction. 2. Counselor goes into 100% fear (loses mini-map) and can no longer drop items. I could not drop a gas can near the car no matter how long or how many times I held down on the d-pad. This is the first time this has happened to me. I don't know if this was a one-off thing or if it happens to others. 3. Jason completes the animation to break down the door and gets stuck just outside the door. You can't move (only wiggle/rotate in place). Sometimes it clears on it's own. Other times you have to use an ability like morph or shift to escape. 4. Jason gets stuck in the throw knife animation. Arm is raised with the target crosshair visible but he cannot throw the knife. He cannot move, He cannot use abilities. Typically clears up after a 10-15 second wait. I thought this was a lag issue, but I have had as of today, it happen in both laggy and pristine connection games. 5. Jason comes out of shift in the combat stance. Happened three times today. I thought maybe I had accidentally depressed the right thumbstick, but it was not the case. 6. Selecting a morph location as Jason have having it take you in the exact opposite direction, same approximate distance selected, but sends you away from the area you selected no towards it. 7. Jason ignoring a shotgun blast when not in a kill animation or stunned. I've shot him point blank and he ignored it. In another case I shot him to save someone else and he ignored it. This doesn't happen often, but I've seen it three times. The game was not lagging. It may just be the dispersion of the shot reticle for the shotty, but I'll include it here because I'm not sure if it is an accuracy issue/RNG or what.
  19. Everyone in the lobby was having a great time, Jason was having fun and laughing along while killing people. Then this glitcher came along named Bigjohn359. He was the last one left in the game and he literally waited the entire match out which irritated everyone in the lobby with headsets on. Please do something about this, it really does ruin the game and people like this who do glitches in a game that is designed purely for fun should be removed.
  20. Ok. So I got Friday through Family Share on Steam. Every time I run it, the game starts, it all works just fine, but when I get in a game, right when the intro is about to display(you know, Cristal Lake, 1979 etc.), the game crashes and it shows me this error.Can someone tell me how to fix this?
  21. I brought the game today and i havent been able to play it yet. Its been about 8 hours and its still doing the same thing where it loads and then crashes. I have reinstalled the game and it still doing the same thing. NEED HELP ASAP i havent even been able to play a game yet.
  22. Sometimes while hiding from Jason I get stuck inside the ground can't be killed or hit anyone. This bug happens mostly in tents and beds.What do I do?
  23. Now, as an Xbox user, I'm not particularly stoked to suggest this, but I'd also like to have the opportunity to keep all of that experience In earning, plus the bonus experience. Think about it. I'm level 34, and I should probably be up in the high 40s at least by now. PS4 and PC users aren't experiencing near the amount of crashing we are, and I can accept that there are differences in the builds to account for this. However, if this event is an apology, it's not doing any favors when the activity for which the apology is warranted is still occurring. I would humbly suggest (as I have several times via the F13 Support twitter handle, receiving no reply) that the double experience weekend be delayed for Xbox users until the crash issue is resolved. I would also submit that experience and CP should be IMMEDIATELY attributed, not having to wait until the end of the match. Crashing at the "return to the shack" postgame cutscene is the most frustrating thing I've ever experienced. This is certainly possible because achievements linked to badge progress manage to unlock before the badges themselves (case in point, achievement for trapping Jason 13 times despite badge progress reading 4/13). For the record, I prefer this game immensely to Dead By Daylight, but I'm getting that old familiar Ubisoft feeling when I start up this game. We all love this game, but our love is not unconditional. If you feel the same, Xbox users, I would suggest that you also request that the double experience weekend be delayed, and that experience and CP be allotted immediately after earning.
