  1. new gfx card

Quick update: Got my new gfx card and man what a helluva difference it makes. I am so happy. I can finally play the game with out the annoying black streak graphical glitch that extends from all of the counselors heads and made it near impossible to see anything. All of the tearing is gone as well and I can play the game on epic settings. Thanks to everyone who responded with input.

If I were to do that, upgrade it to the i9, that's gonna set me back at least a grand At this time, it's not in the cards. I just hope that the smaller priced upgrades won't hurt my baby. Edit: Ahh I see what you're saying. At first I thought you were doing a same word rhyming thing with "lake," but I just googled both "lakes" and the light bulb switched on lol. I haven't had to even think about this stuff since I got the rig back in 2010-2011 so I for the most part have no idea what some of this stuff means. How much of an improvement are they over what I have being they are still i7's?

My bad. I have a Corsair TX850 and the card requires at least 300W (recommended.)
  4. new gfx card

This is what I'm currently running. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz. I'm also planning to upgrade my ram from 8GB to 16, or even 32GB in the near future.

You are actually the one person I was hoping to see a reply from. You seem pretty knowledgeable from all the posts I've read. Thanks for your quick response.
  6. Hey everyone. I'm getting ready to buy a new card and was wondering if I could get some advice, help and info on my choice of replacement card. Currently I have dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 cards which are about 5-6 years old and in dire need of an upgrade. I have been looking at the GTX 1050 Ti as the replacement. Now, when I was comparing the specs from each card, the 570's run 1280 MB while the 1050 Ti runs at 4GB. It's my understanding that 1kMB=1GB, right? If that's true, then with the dual 570's, I'm running at about 2.56GB. So, I wouldn't necessarily need a second 1050 card because I'd already be nearly double the GB with the single 1050. Aside from this, I'm not sure if there is any other difference worth noting in my decision, but then again, I don't really know anything about gfx cards. With the 3 year protection plan, the price fits nicely into my budget and the obvious upgrade itch will be scratched. What I really want to know is, is the 1050 the best upgrade for my budget? Below is the old versus new comparison. https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Mini-HDMI-Graphics-012-P3-1570-AR/dp/B004EHZD5W/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1500573823&sr=1-1&keywords=NVIDIA+GeForce+GTX+570 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M6Y671T/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 Thank you for any an all help on the matter.
  7. I think this is as far as it goes for this lap top. It's got an intel hd graphics 3000 and from what I was able to find out, there aren't any driver updates for it. Ah well. That's too bad.
  8. I found a link that works and it's not the above one, but now I have an error message that says, "DX11 feature level 10.0 is required to run the engine." The list goes on. Edit: Weird. Just ran a dxdiag and it's showing that I have DX12 installed.
  9. Aaaand a generic email response was all I got.
  10. Alright! Thank you! Hopefully I can get this resolved so I can get back to playing.
  11. Don't want this to get buried since I still can't play so I'm bumping this.
  12. I saw a streamer and his fun bunch do this for nearly 3 hours straight. If they were able to position the car in such a way, Jacen would go flying off and die. Only saw em do it once but man did they sure try to do it multiple times.
  13. Found a potential fix for this issue but I'm sketchy about trying it out. Would love a response from @GunMedia_Ben, @JPops about this to see if it's a legit way of fixing this issue. I'd rather not download an unfamiliar file to fix something like this.
  14. Just recently got an old win7 (also upgraded to Win10) laptop back up and running and after getting back some of the missing dll files, I'm now missing a new file that's not allowing me to play. Specifically the, GlobalShaderCache-PCD3D SM4.bin file. Anyone come across this and know how to regen/repair this file?
